US-manufacturer "Lockheed Martin" contradicts that there are such problems. In the USA, however, there has been criticism of the Jet F-35 for years. US-Jet F-35 is also one of the candidates in the evaluation of the Swiss Air Force for a new combat jet. There are several failings listed up in the report: "The built-in cannon shall not shoot accurately, the problem has been known for years, but apparently still has not been resolved." Besides, there shall be problems with the air pressure in the cockpit, pilots speak about agonizing ears pains. There is also talk of blistering in the coating of the F-35 when the jet is flying at supersonic speed. There shall be also false alarms due to the failing of the battery in very cold temperatures. Besides, the capability of the US-F-35-Jet shall correspond to only 30% of the promised combat strength, but "Lockheed Martin" denies this. With regard to the software, the "Autonomic Logistics Information System (Alis)"is in the criticism; the computer system is used for logistics. Spare parts shall be reordered automatically and maintenance work is arranged. There are fears of a leakage of classified data; all confidential information is protected, says the US-manufacturer. The latest report to the US-Congress on the F-35 Jet is strongly criticizing the logistics management. There are problems with spare parts, necessary repair and maintenance work are so often impossible. According to "Defense News", significant extra costs, especially for the maintenance, are expected for the first buyers. Model "F-35A" is expected to cost about 80 Mio. US-Dollar per unit. A complete ban has already been adopted in the important agricultural countries of France and Brazil. Die "SBB" sind der groesste Verbraucher des umstrittenen Unkraut-Vernichters in der Schweiz; die "Internationale Agentur fuer Krebsforschung" bezeichnete das Pflanzengift 2015 als "wahrscheinlich krebs-erregend fuer Menschen". Die "SBB" will auf eine umwelt-schonende Methode umsteigen; ab dem Jahr 2025 wollen sie auf den Einsatz von "Glyphosat" auf ihrem gesamten Bahn-Netz verzichten. Die "SBB" reagieren damit auf den zunehmenden oeffentlichen Druck gegen das Herbizid "Glyphosat". Mit der neuen Methode wird auf 100 Grad erhitztes Wasser versprueht, welches das Unkraut und Moos absterben lassen. Fuer die neue umwelt-schonende Methode hat die "SBB" ein neues Heisswasser- Spritzfahrzeug entwickelt in den letzten Monaten. Es ist eine Art Tankwagen auf Schienen, welcher mittels Duesen das heisse Wasser auf Unkraut und Moos sprueht. Es hat einen Nachteil, es toetet kleine Tierchen; wegen der Vielfalt der natuerlichen und baulichen Gegebenheiten entlang der Bahn-Strecken, wuerden mehrere Ersatz- Loesungen zu Glyphosat angewendet werden. Es sind zwei andere Verfahren denkbar, welche derzeit von der "Deutschen Bahn" getestet werden, mit der sich die "SBB" austauscht. Das Unkraut wird mittels Strom vernichtet oder mit energie-reicher Ultra-Violett-Strahlung verbrannt. In der Schweiz ist der Einsatz von "Glyphosat" auf oeffentlichen und privaten Strassen und Plaetzen seit 2001 verboten. Since June 20, 2019, a new decree of the "Federal Office for Civil Aviation (Bazl)" is in force, which allows the communication of pilots only in "English" on many Swiss airports. Until now, the principle of bilingualism was valid; the pilots could choose between English and the respective local language. Only at Zurich Airport, which mainly handles international scheduled flights, "English Only" has long been applied. In Eastern Switzerland, the pilots contacted the air traffic controllers in German; in the airspace Vaud or in the Lower Valais area was communicated in French with the control tower. In der Ostschweiz nahmen die Piloten mit dem Lotsen auf Deutsch Kontakt auf; im Luftraum Waadt oder im Unter-Wallis wird mit dem Tower auf Franzoesisch kommuniziert. Die Lokal-Sprachen sind jetzt grundsaetzlich auf allen Flugplaetzen verboten, die ueber eine Flugsicherung verfuegen. Die Restriktion wird mit Sicherheits-Risiken, die durch die Mehrsprachigkeit in der Schweiz entstuenden begruendet, sagt der Bund. Die Bundesraetin Simonetta Sommaruga (SP) erklaerte im Parlament, es drohe ein "Sprachen-Gemisch im Luftverkehr". Flieger-Kreise wehren sich nicht nur politisch, sondern auch juristisch dagegen. Piloten- Verbaende in der Romandie haben einen Verbund mit dem Namen "English Only No" gegruendet. Der Widerstand dort ist gross, weil Franzoesisch zu den anerkannten Arbeits-Sprachen der "Internationalen Zivil-Luft-Fahrt- Organisationen" gehoert. IOCのトーマス・バッハ会長とスイスの連邦大統領ウェリ・マウレルが列席し て、先週日曜ローザンヌの新しい「オリンピック委員会(IOC)」本部の落成式が 行われた。スイス連邦大統領は、この建物の建築と持続可能性を賞賛した。バ ッハ会長によると「IOC」は、持続可能性と信頼性と若者をこのプロジェクトに 取り入れたいと願っていた。この新しい「オリンピック・ハウス」は、広さが 22,000平方メートルで、費用は1億4千5百万スイスフランだった。屋根は鳩を現 す太陽光発電装置が設置されており、スイスの60世帯が必要とする電力を発電 する。この建物は自前のエネルギーで暖房、換気、冷房してお湯を供給出来る。 ポンプ・ステーションでは冷房と暖房の水を回収する。現在「IOC」の500人の 職員全員が、一箇所に集まる事が出来る。 In the presence of IOC-President Thomas Bach and Swiss Federal President Ueli Maurer, the new headquarters of the "Olympic Committee (IOC)" in Lausanne was inaugurated last Sunday. The Swiss president praised the architecture and the sustainability of the building. According to Mr. Bach, the "IOC" wanted to include sustainability, credibility and the youth into the project. The new "Olympic House" covers an area of 22,000 square meters and costs 145 Mio. Swiss francs. The roof is equipped with photovoltaic modules that represent a dove. The modules produce as much electricity as 60 Swiss households need. The building can be heated, ventilated, cooled and supplied with hot water with its own energy. A pumping station recovers water for cooling and heating. The currently 500 employees of the "IOC" can now all be reunited in one location. A delegation of the Government of the Canton of Berne decided not to attend the celebration because of security concerns. According to the press release, the Berne Government Officials canceled the trip to the Canton of Jura at the last minute. The decision had been taken after a discussion with the Jurassic authorities. Autonomists had previously hinted that they could "boo" or "whistle" against the Berne Government Official because of the political "Moutier Matter". Certain "disturbing elements" could have spoiled the festivities, said the President of the Jura Government. Before the ceremonial act, around 300 militant autonomists had called for a transfer of the town of Moutier to the Canton of Jura. However, incidents did not occur at the Jura-Festival. Federal Councilor Alain Berset, who is a native French speaker, delivered his speech on the festival site as agreed.
