The model for the action of the Swiss students is Greta Thunberg, a 15-year-old climate activist; she is protesting for weeks every Friday in front of the Swedish Parliament. Her "School Strike for the Climate" is followed by students all over the world. In the City of Zurich, 1,000 students went outside the "Town Hall" and shouted slogans like "Youth demands climate protection" or "Sea-levels are rising, so are we". According to the President of the Headmaster's Conference of the Canton of Zurich, the current compulsory education must be enforced. There are more climate strikes planned in January 2019. Die Schueler haben sich ueber "Whatsapp", "Instagram" und "Facebook" organisiert; wegen dem Klima sorgen sich die Jugendlichen um ihre Zukunft. Statt in die Schule zu gehen, protestierten die Schueler auf der Strasse und forderten ein Umdenken in der Klima-Politik. Jetzt drohen den Schuelern jedoch Konsequenzen durch die Behoerden, da sie den Unterricht "geschwaenzt" haben. In der Stadt Basel gilt das "Fernbleiben" vom Unterricht in diesem Fall als unentschuldigte Absenz. Eine unentschuldigte Absenz im Zeugnis kann unangenehme Konsequenzen fuer die betroffenen Schueler haben. Absenzen koennen bei einer Bewerbung oder Lehrstellen-Suche ein Thema sein. Die Schueler lassen sich nicht einschuechtern und beharren auf dem Demonstrations-Recht. Laut dem Praesidenten der Schulleiter- Konferenz des Kts. The US- Media Researcher Jay Rosen responded in an interview with the "Tages- Anzeiger" that he often heard the term "System-Press" in Germany. It means that media and political elites are one and the same, making common cause. According to Jay Rosen, this allegation is not quite made up out of thin air. Das angesehene deutsche Magazin "Der Spiegel" informierte, dass der "Spiegel-Journalist" Claas Relotius seine eigenen Geschichten in "grossem Umfang gefaelscht und Haupt-Personen erfunden" hat. Der mehrfach preisgekroente "Spiegel-Journalist" Relotius hat die Vorwuerfe laut "Spiegel" zu gegeben. Der beruehmte deutsche Journalist Relotius schrieb auch fuer Schweizer Medien, zum Beispiel fuer die "NZZ am Sonntag" usw. Relotius wurde u.a. mit dem deutschen "Reporter- Preis" ausgezeichnet. Die "Faelschungen" seien ein schwerer Schlag gegen den kritischen Journalismus und es wird gefragt, wie gross der Schaden fuer die Glaubwuerdigkeit der Medien sei. In den Zeiten von "Fake-News-Medien" und dem Slogan "Luegenpresse" ist faken-orientierte Bericht-Erstattung wichtiger denn je. Der Medien-Experte Michael Haller sagte, "Journalisten sollen nicht Schriftsteller sein" und fordert nach dem "Fall Relotius" ein Umdenken in der Branche. Die Dokumentar-Abteilung des "Spiegel's" ueberprueft Texte auf Fakten, hat aber die "Faelschungen" nicht bemerkt! Laut Experte Haller ist der Fakten-Check schwierig bei Texten, bei denen der Reporter unterwegs ist. The politicians want to finance reforms with rising payroll deductions and an increase in the value-added tax (VAT). It concerns essentially the following areas: the restructuring of old-age provisions (AHV) and the disability insurance (IV), which could cost up to 3 VAT-percentages by 2035. The planned paternity leave with the version of 2 weeks holiday for fathers would cost 0.06% payroll deductions. A new proposal is "Care Leave", which aims to make the care for relatives compatible with employment; this would cost an additional 0.06% in payroll deductions or 0.1% VAT. That means overall up to 2% (higher) payroll deductions; it will be argued about the issue in politics over the next few years. Part of the cost can be saved by a pension age increase or a reduction in benefits. Upgrading- or restructuring of the social system in Switzerland must be "counter- financed", say the politicians. By that they mean that the tax burden on the public will be increased. The planned reforms provide additional earnings; payroll deductions may rise by 1% to 2% and VAT by around 3%. Higher payroll deductions mean that less money is available for shopping or savings. The increase in the cost of labor leads to (more) rationalization, including the reduction of jobs, making it more profitable. Die Politiker wollen Reformen mit steigenden Lohn-Abzuegen und einer Erhoehung der Mehrwert-Steuer (MwSt) finanzieren. Es geht im Wesentlichen um folgende Bereiche: die Sanierung der Altersvorsorge (AHV) und Invaliden-Versicherung (IV) koennte bis im Jahr 2035 bis zu 3 Mehrwert-Steuer-Prozente kosten. Der geplante Vaterschafts-Urlaub mit der Variante von 2 Wochen Ferien fuer Vaeter wuerde 0,06% Lohn- Abzuege kosten. Ein weiterer Vorschlag ist der "Care-Urlaub", dank dem die Pflege von Angehoerigen mit der Erwerbstaetigkeit vereinbart werden soll: dies wuerde weitere 0,06% an Lohn-Abzuegen oder 0,1% Mehrwert-Steuer (MwSt) kosten. Dies bedeutet insgesamt bis zu 2% (hoehere) Lohn-Abzuege; darueber wird in der Politik in den naechsten Jahren gestritten werden. Ein Teil der Kosten kann durch eine Renten- Alters-Erhoehung oder ein Leistungs-Abbau eingespart werden. Der Aus- oder Umbau des Sozial-Staats in der Schweiz muss "gegen-finanziert" werden, sagen die Politiker. Sie meinen damit, dass die Abgabenlast fuer die Allgemeinheit erhoeht wird. Die geplanten Reformen sehen zusaetzliche Einnahmen vor; die Lohn-Abzuege duerften um 1% bis 2% steigen und die Mehrwert-Steuer (MwSt) um rund 3%. Hoehere Lohn- Abzuege fuehren dazu, dass weniger Geld zur Verfuegung ist um etwas zu kaufen oder Geld zu sparen. The aim of the action is that the residents in the canton create more children. The birth rate is very low with 1.37 children per woman; the Swiss national value is at 1.52.
