Gute Nachricht: Amazon USA liefert nicht mehr in die Schweiz. 米国巨大オンラインショップ「アマゾン」は、今後米国からスイス向けに出荷 しないことにした。これは2018年12月26日から適用され、影響を被る顧客は10 万人。新方針はEU域外のアマゾン支店にも適用される。スイスの顧客は他の欧 州アマゾンの支店で注文出来るが、3億品目の米国の品揃えと比べると選択の 幅は大幅に少ない。この措置の理由は、2019年から施行されるスイスの付加価 値税方の改正。外国の通販会社で小口発送を年間10万スイスフラン以上販売し ている場合は、新たに課税対象となる。この措置はアマゾンにも適用され、こ れまで65スイスフランまでの小口は、スイスでは非課税扱いだった。スイスの 通販企業連盟(VSV)は満足で、国内事業者が不利益を被る事はもう無くなった。 是によってスイス政府は追加の付加価値税21千万スイスフランを得ると推定さ れている。アマゾンは1年間の準備期間があったにもかかわらず、スイスの新 規制に対応しなかったようだ。スイスでの6,500万スイスフランの売上は少な 過ぎて、少ない売上の割に手間がかかる。現在でもアマゾンからほんの僅かが スイスに配達されているに過ぎない。アマゾンの競争相手、中国の「Wish」に も新規制は適用される。中国からは日々最大7万点が送られてくる。 The giant US-Online retailer "Amazon" no longer ships orders from its "US-site" to Switzerland; this applies from December 26, 2018 and affected are 100,000 customers. The new rule also applies to other Amazon branches outside the EU. Swiss customers can order from other European Amazon branches; compared to the 300 Mio. items US-range, however, the selection is massively smaller. The reason for this measure is an amendment of the Swiss Value Added Tax Act, which will come into effect from 2019. Foreign mail-order companies that generate worldwide over CHF 100,000 sales per year with small consignments are newly taxable. The rule also applies to Amazon; small consignments of up to CHF 65 could be imported tax-free into Switzerland so far. The Association of Swiss Mail Order Companies (VSV) is satisfied; domestic retailers are no longer discriminated. As a result, the Swiss Government will also receive value-added tax revenues of an estimated CHF 20 Mio. Amazon does not seem to have been able to implement the new Swiss regulation, despite a lead time of one year. With an amount of CHF 65 Mio., sales in Switzerland are too small; a lot of effort for only low turnover. Even today, only a small part of the Amazon range is shipped to Switzerland. For the Amazon competitor "Wish" from China, the new rule also applies. Up to 70,000 shipments arrive from China daily. Der riesige US-Online Haendler "Amazon" liefert Bestellungen ab seiner "US-Seite" nicht mehr in die Schweiz; dies gilt ab dem 26. Dezember 2018 und betroffen davon sind 100'000 Kunden. Die neue Regelung gilt ebenfalls fuer andere Amazon-Niederlassungen ausserhalb der EU. Schweizer Kunden koennen bei anderen europaeischen Amazon-Ablegern bestellen; im Vergleich zum 300 Mio. Artikel grossen US-Sortiment, ist die Auswahl jedoch massiv kleiner. Der Grund fuer diese Massnahme ist eine Aenderung des Schweizer Mehrwert-Steuergesetzes, welche ab 2019 in Kraft tritt. Auslaendische Versand-Haendler, die mit Klein- Sendungen weltweit ueber CHF 100'000 Umsatz pro Jahr erzielen, sind neu steuerpflichtig. Die Regelung gilt auch fuer Amazon; bisher konnten Klein-Sendungen bis CHF 65 abgabe-frei in die Schweiz eingefuehrt werden. Der Verband der Schweizer Versandhaendler (VSV) ist zufrieden; inlaendische Haendler werden jetzt nicht mehr benachteiligt. Der Schweizer Staat bekommt dadurch zusaetzlich Mehrwert-Steuer-Einnahmen von geschaetzten 20 Mio. CHF. Amazon scheint nicht in der Lage gewesen zu sein, die neue Schweizer Regelung umzusetzen, trotz einem Jahr Vorlauf. Mit rund 65 Mio. CHF sind die Umsaetze in der Schweiz zu klein; viel Aufwand fuer wenig Umsatz. Schon heute wird nur ein kleiner Teil des Amazon-Sortiments in die Schweiz geliefert. The party CVP recommended two women as official candidates and the party FDP had selected a woman and a man as candidate. The Federal Councilors, retiring at the end of 2018, were first bid farewell; then followed the election of the new Federal Councilors. The 56-year-old Viola Amherd from the Canton of Valais was already elected in the first round of ballot as successor to the CVP-woman Doris Leuthard. With 148 votes the female lawyer achieved an excellent result. She is a Valais national and member of the National Council since 2005; Mrs. Amherd is known at the Swiss Federal Parliament and in the Valais. In the whole of Switzerland however, people hardly know the new Federal Councilor so far. She is referred to as a quiet hard worker, committed and pragmatic; she likes a businesslike, emotionless and rational way. In Berne, people are curious how Amherd will be performing on the "big stage". As second, the favorite of the party FDP, Karin Keller-Sutter (KKS) was also elected with a brilliant result of 154 votes in the first round of ballot. She replaced Johann Schneider-Ammann as new Federal Councilor. The 54-year-old Keller-Sutter comes from the Canton of St. Gallen and has been a State Councilor since 2011. She is an educated translator and conference interpreter. Keller-Sutter already ran for the Federal Council eight years ago; however, she was not elected at that time. Her FDP colleague Schneider-Ammann won the race. The election of two women into the Swiss Government (Bundesrat) was described by the media as triumph of women and as a historic moment. For the first time, two women were elected to the Federal Council on the same day. Now, there are again three women in the Swiss Federal Government; since 1984 up to the current election, there were only nine female Federal Councilors so far. Zuerich: 2000-Watt-Gesellschaft, noch lange nicht am Ziel. 10年前の2008年11月30日、ツューリッヒ市の有権者は70％以上の具体的なエネ ルギー削減目標を決めた。2050年までに市の平均的市民は、年にエネルギーを 2000ワット、二酸化炭素は1トンのみ消費することにした。過去10年で年間1人 当たり1000ワット削減した。現在1人年間消費量は4000ワット弱で、これは 2000ワット社会の目標の２倍になる。従ってエネルギー消費量はスイスの他地 域より大幅に低い。二酸化炭素排出4.7トンでは、温室効果ガスのバランスシ ートは著しく悪化している。市政府のアンドレアス・ハウリ氏に依ると、道程 は確かだが、目標が特に温室効果ガスの排出量に関しては遙か彼方。同市は多 くの暖房が改修されることに期待を寄せている。化石エネルギーで暖房する代 わりに、持続可能な暖房に置き換えられるべきだと。市政府のハウリ氏は、各 個人が出来る事として、1) 肉を控え、2) 休暇に毎年2回も飛行機を使わず、 3) 暖房は持続可能なエネルギーに替え、4) 自分の行動で何が起きるか考える べき、と言う。エコバランスを計算するガボール・ドカに依ると、現在の二酸 化炭素削減では2050年までに目標を達成する事は殆ど不可能。車は無し、小さ い住まい、休暇は汽車。これが適切なエネルギーのライフスタイルであるべき 姿だ。 Ten years ago, on November 30 2008, the voters of the City of Zurich decided with more than 70% concrete savings targets for the energy consumption. By 2050, the average inhabitant of the City shall consume only 2000 watts of energy and one ton of CO2 per year. In the last 10 years, 1000 watts per person and year have been saved. Currently, the consumption is just under 4000 watts per person and year; that is twice the target of the 2000-Watt-Society. The energy consumption is thus significantly lower than in the rest of Switzerland. With 4.7 tons of CO2 emissions, the balance for greenhouse gases is significantly worse. According to City Councilor Mr. Andreas Hauri, the path has indeed been taken, but the goal is still far from achieved, especially with regard to greenhouse gas emissions. The City expects a lot from heating renovations; instead of heating with fossil energy, it should be shifted to sustainable heating. Councilor Hauri says what each one can do: 1) Frequently abstain from eating meat, 2) Do not fly twice a year on holiday, 3) In case of heating replacement, switch to sustainable energy, 4) Be aware of what you do with your actions. According to Mr. Gabor Doka, who evaluates eco-balances, the goal can hardly be reached by 2050 with the current CO2-reduction. No car, smaller apartments, holidays by train. That's the way, the optimal energetic lifestyle should be. Vor zehn Jahren, am 30. November 2008 beschloss die Stimm-Bevoelkerung der Stadt Zuerich mit mehr als 70% konkrete Sparziele beim Energie- Verbrauch. Bis im Jahr 2050 soll die durchschnittliche Einwohnerin der Stadt nur noch 2000 Watt Energie und eine Tonne CO2 pro Jahr verbrauchen. In den letzten 10 Jahren wurden 1000 Watt pro Person und Jahr eingespart. Derzeit liegt der Verbrauch bei knapp unter 4000 Watt pro Person/Jahr; das ist das Doppelte der Zielvorgabe der 2000-Watt- Society. Der Energie-Verbrauch ist damit deutlich tiefer als in der uebrigen Schweiz. Mit 4,7 Tonnen CO2-Ausstoss ist die Bilanz bei den Treibhaus-Gasen deutlich schlechter. Laut Stadtrat Andreas Hauri ist der Weg zwar beschritten, am Ziel sei man aber noch lange nicht, vor allem was die Treibhaus-Gas-Emissionen angeht. Die Stadt erwartet viel von Heizungs-Sanierungen; anstatt mit fossiler Energie zu heizen, sollte auf nachhaltige Heizung umgestellt werden. Stadtrat Hauri sagt, was jeder einzelne tun kann: 1) oefters auf Fleisch verzichten, 2) nicht jedes Jahr zweimal in die Ferien fliegen, 3) Heizung bei Ersatz auf nachhaltige Energie umruesten, 4) sich bewusst sein, was man mit seinen Handlungen ausloest. Saudi Arabia's crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman, was awaiting arrest in Buenos Aires on charges of human rights violations. Mexico's luxurious presidential aircraft will be sold; the "Boeing 787 -8 Dreamliner" was bought by one of the former Presidents for almost 219 Mio. US-Dollars. The aircraft is now being maintained at an airfield in the US-state of California and then sold through a UN agency. The new president described the presidential aircraft as too expensive, too pretentious and out of touch with the people. The act was celebrated on Twitter. President Obrador wants to sell 60 more aircrafts and 70 helicopters owned by the Mexican Government. It will be the beginning of an "era of popular modesty"; Obrador will use normal scheduled flights in the future.
