Key questions included the formation of the electricity market in Switzerland and, whether the security of energy supplies would also be guaranteed in the future. On this occasion, the start-up company "Skypull" based in Lugano (TI) presented their wind power system, which generates electricity with a drone in the air. The company "Skypull" is a "spin-off" of the ETH Zurich (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology). As the wind blows stronger at higher altitude, (normal) wind turbines become higher. In Germany, wind turbines recently went into operation, which are up to the top of the rotor blade 246.5 meters high. Let us speak about the new system of "Skypull"; this consists of a drone, a tether and a ground generator. The drone switches off its engine at a height of 200 meters, then glides like a kite and climbs up higher in the sky. The drone unrolls its tether, which is attached to a generator on the ground. This system then converts the kinetic energy (movement energy) into electricity. The "Skypull" wind power system can generate 95% more energy than a conventional wind turbine. Besides, the energy produced by the drone shall be cheaper than with wind turbines. Skypull will now build a larger, marketable prototype by 2020. Other companies are working on similar projects. In der Stadt Bern fand die letzten zwei Tage der "Strom-Kongress 2018" statt; mehr als 400 Vertreter aus Politik, Wirtschaft und dem Strom- Sektor nahmen daran teil. Bestimmende Fragen waren unter anderem, die Gestaltung des Strom-Marktes in der Schweiz und ob die Versorgungs- Sicherheit auch in Zukunft gewaehrleistet sei. Bei dieser Gelegenheit stellte das Start-up Unternehmen "Skypull" mit Sitz in Lugano (TI) ihr Windkraft-System vor, welches mit einer Drohne in der Luft Strom erzeugt. Die Firma "Skypull" ist ein "Spin-off" der ETH Zuerich (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich). Da der Wind in der Hoehe staerker blaest, werden (normale) Wind-Turbinen immer hoeher. In Deutschland gingen kuerzlich Wind-Turbinen in Betrieb, welche bis zur Spitze des Rotorblattes 246,5 Meter hoch sind. Zurueck zum neuartigen System von "Skypull"; dieses besteht aus einer Drohne, einem Halteseil und einem Boden-Generator. Die Drohne schaltet ihren Motor in einer Hoehe von 200 Meter ab, gleitet dann wie ein Drache und steigt weiter in die Hoehe. Die Drohne rollt dabei ihr Halte-Seil ab, welches an einem Generator auf dem Boden befestigt ist. Dieser wandelt dann die kinetische Energie (Bewegungs-Energie) in Elektrizitaet um. Das Windkraft-System von "Skypull" kann 95% mehr Energie als eine herkoemmliche Windkraft-Anlage erzeugen. Zudem soll die von der Drohne produzierte Energie guenstiger sein als bei Wind-Turbinen. Ukraine released 237 prisoners and the rebels allowed the return of 73 prisoners. The Swiss diplomat Frisch negotiated insistently with the conflict parties for this success; it is the largest exchange of prisoners since the beginning of the armed conflict in 2014. According to Swiss Diplomat Frisch, the releases are a very important human and political step. Now, we have to quickly reach the exchange of the remaining prisoners, says the diplomat. According to the Swiss diplomat Frisch, one should not abandon the people in Eastern Ukraine, "They want peace, under whom, they do not care," says Frisch. Toni Frisch has been working for Switzerland in the area of humanitarian aid for 40 years; he has been retired for six years. Instead of enjoying retirement, he has been traveling to the regions in the Ukraine and to Minsk every two weeks since April 2015. Die Ukraine liess 237 Gefangene frei und die Rebellen ermoeglichten die Rueckkehr von 73 Gefangenen. Fuer diesen Erfolg verhandelte der Schweizer Diplomat Frisch hartnaeckig mit den Konflikt-Parteien; es ist der groesste Gefangenen-Austausch seit Beginn des bewaffneten Konflikts im Jahr 2014. Laut Diplomat Frisch seien die Freilassungen menschlich und politisch ein sehr wichtiger Schritt. Jetzt muesse man rasch den Austausch der restlichen Gefangenen erreichen, sagt der Diplomat. Laut dem Schweizer Diplomat Frisch duerfe man die Menschen in der Ost- Ukraine nicht im Stich lassen, "Sie wollen Frieden, unter wem, ist ihnen egal", sagt Frisch. Toni Frisch arbeitete seit 40 Jahren fuer die Schweiz in der humanitaeren Hilfe; seit sechs Jahren ist er pensioniert. But now the focus is on China; in the United States, the US-Congress held a first hearing about the Chinese Government's widespread attempts to "control debates on sensitive issues, to buy or to force political influence in Western countries". In Berlin, the Office for the Protection of the Constitution (domestic security agency) warned against the infiltration by Chinese intelligence services in Germany. Especially "hot" is yet the discussion about "China's long arm" in Australia. There, more than one million of the 24 Mio. Australians have Chinese roots, half of them were born in mainland China. Disclosures by the Australian media and intelligence services showed that China purchases long ago not just only raw materials and farmland in Australia, but buys also influence in politics, media and universities. A parliamentarian already had to resign in Australia because he had accepted money from a Chinese billionaire. The so-called "united front" is a driving force behind the increasing Chinese influence. It is the department of the Communist Party (CP) of China, whose mission is to strengthen the influence of the Communist Party among non- Communists at home and abroad. Sie ist die Abteilung der Kommunistischen Partei (KP) China's, deren Botschaft es ist, den Einfluss der KP unter Nicht-Kommunisten im In- und Ausland zu staerken. Australien hat erstmals "Transparenz-Gesetze" erlassen gegen den versteckten Einfluss "auslaendischer Agenten und Lobbyisten". The Swiss returned to Syria in December and officially took up work with a humanitarian office; this confirmed the Swiss Foreign Ministry (DFA) to the radio station SRF. The humanitarian office is located in a hotel room in the capital Damascus, where a Swiss diplomat works. Thanks to its presence on the ground, Switzerland can now implement the help specifically with the partner organizations. Today, Switzerland supports relief organizations with more than CHF 60 Mio. a year, for example the "Syrian Red Crescent". In the future, thanks to the new office, more and more own projects are to be implemented, for example to restore drinking water pipes or to rebuild hospitals. To this end, Chinese intelligence services release fake profiles on "Social Media" platforms; the Chinese pretend to be young employees of universities and think tanks. By the use of the fake profiles, decision makers from politics, economics and science are asked to transfer know-how to China, as Western intelligence services assume, according to the newspaper "NZZ am Sonntag". The Swiss intelligence service is aware of attempts by Chinese Intelligence to recruit informants by the use of Internet platforms, such as "Linkedin" or "Xing". Besides, there is the suspicion that Chinese trainees are infiltrated into Swiss companies, research institutes and universities to engage in espionage. Based on a recent survey by the "YouGov" institute, only 36% of the Germans still want Angela Merkel to remain Federal Chancellor for another four years. 47% of the Germans, almost every other, now want the Federal Chancellor to give up her post prematurely, before the end of the 2021 electoral term. Shortly after the German election, the support for Angela Merkel was still significantly bigger. 64% of the voters of the possible coalition partner SPD want to get rid of the Chancellor prematurely. In a public letter, she explained to the audience and her employer, the BBC- corporation, why she is giving up her correspondent post in China.
