The 277 employees of the company "GM & S Industry" have occupied the French factory for about two weeks and still hope for a "rescue" of the insolvent company. The company is a supplier to the local automobile industry and its key customers are "PSA Peugeot", "Citroen" and "Renault". They are serious with their threats; the workers "mined" the factory building and the compound with homemade bombs. Such "labor disputes" show the new president Emmanuel Macron the reality in France. The situation in rural France, as here in the City of La Souterraine, is often gloomy and shows the contrast to the "young dynamic" Macron, which wants to re-illuminate the French economy. In the election campaign, Macron spoke out against the usual rescue promises; now his Economic Minister is trying to save what is still possible to be saved. The State, as a large-shareholder is putting pressure on the companies "Peugeot" and "Renault", demanding compulsory orders at "GM & S Industry". A loss of the job at "GM & S Industry" would affect 800 families and means long-term unemployment for the workers. A worker, a member of the trade union "CGT" says, "Macron has no idea, he only thinks of the people in the big cities." Macron will liberalize the labor law by decree (without Parliament), but there will be major protests in France against it. The political division in France will soon be exacerbated. Die wirtschaftliche Realitaet, im "abgehaengten Frankreich" ist ein andere, dieser Teil erkennt sich nicht in der "Zuversicht" von Macron. Die Sorgen der franzoesischen Industrie sind vielschichtig, mangelnde Investitionen, strategische Fehl- Entscheidungen usw. Besonders abseits der (grossen) Agglomerationen schrumpft die industrielle Struktur dauernd. Die dramatischen Faelle, wie hier in "La Souterraine", aber auch die Schliessung einer Fabrik in Amiens, welche fuer den US-Konzern "Whirlpool" produziert und der Glas-Hersteller "Arc International", welcher 5'000 Mitarbeiter beschaeftigt und Geld-Probleme hat, koennten rasch zum politischen Problem fuer Macron werden. Im Wahlkampf sprach sich Macron gegen die ueblichen Rettungs-Versprechen aus; jetzt versucht sein Wirtschafts-Minister jedoch zu retten, was noch zu retten ist. Der Staat als Gross- Aktionaer uebt Druck auf die Firmen "Peugeot" und "Renault" aus und verlangt Zwangs-Bestellungen bei "GM & S Industry". In einem Interview der Zeitung "Tages-Anzeiger" sagte der Praesident des Verbandes der Wirtschafts-Pruefer "Expertsuisse" (Swiss Expert Association for Audit, Tax and Fiduciary), "Menschen koennten ohne Probleme 70 Stunden pro Woche arbeiten, auch waehrend Monaten, vorausgesetzt, sie koennten dies nachher kompensieren". Der Praesident des Verbandes "Angestellte Schweiz, Thomas Feierabend, kritisiert die Verharmlosung der Folgen von laengerer Arbeits-Zeiten. Er bezeichnet die Forderung des Praesidenten von "Expertsuisse" als moderne Sklaven- Treiberei. Niemand ertrage solche Arbeits-Zeiten ueber mehrere Wochen oder Monate. Es koenne vorkommen, dass ein Einsatz von 60 bis 65 Stunden pro Woche noetig sei, dies muesse aber, eine absolute Ausnahme sein. Falls jemand normal 9 Stunden pro Tag arbeitet und noch 4 Ueber- Stunden leistet, ergibt dies 65 Stunden pro Woche. Dies ist schon heute moeglich im Ausnahme-Fall; das Gesetz muss dafuer nicht geaendert werden. Der Praesident der "Angestellte Schweiz" sagt ebenfalls, dass er bei Treuhand-Firmen (trustee firms) gemerkt habe, dass der Druck auf die Mitarbeiter bis nach 21 Uhr (9 pm.) im Buero zu bleiben und am Morgen wieder um 6:30 Uhr ( 6:30 am.) da zu sein, gross sei. Er hat grosse Zweifel, ob dies "freiwillig" ist! Laut "Angestellte Schweiz", haben die Arbeitgeber eine Fuersorge-Pflicht, sie muessen Sorge tragen zur Gesundheit ihrer Mitarbeiter! Es komme auch haeufig vor, dass Arbeitgeber, Angestellte zwingen dauernd und gratis erreichbar zu sein, dies kann "Angestellte Schweiz" jedoch nicht beweisen. Eine Gruppe "Allianz Denkplatz Schweiz" fordert unter anderem eine "Liberalisierung der Arbeits- und Ruhe-Zeit-Regelungen"; die Gewerkschaften haben jedoch bereits ein Referendum dagegen angekuendigt. There is no consensus on trade; regarding to the Free Trade Agreement (TTIP) between the EU and the USA, there is no chance of a conclusion. On the other hand, EU-Donald Tusk said that he was "not one hundred percent" sure whether the EU and the USA "had a common position with regard to Russia". Later the US- President met with the new President Emmanuel Macron at the US-embassy for lunch. At the main NATO-building, Donald Trump participated in the inauguration of a memorial about the terrorist attack of 9/11 (September 11, 2001). In the election campaign, Donald Trump had referred to Brussels as the "hell-hole", because of the many Muslim immigrants. Around 9,000 people protested in the EU-capital under the motto "Trump not welcome". The US- President did not spend the night at the "best hotel" in the City, but in the secured residence of the US- Ambassador. In the newspaper article of the "Tages-Anzeiger" of May 24, 2017, it is to be read, hopefully no one told Donald Trump that the new NATO-headquarters cost more than one billion Euro, that is twice as much as planned. The new edifice, however, is still not ready to move into; even though, it is now inaugurated. US-Donald Trump schien dies nicht besonders Spass zu machen. Spaeter traf sich der US-Praesident mit dem neuen Praesidenten Emmanuel Macron in der US-Botschaft zum Mittagessen. Beim NATO-Hauptgebaeude nahm Donald Trump an der Einweihung eines Denkmals zum Terroranschlag von 9/11 (11. September 2001) teil. Im Wahlkampf hatte Donald Trump Bruessel als "Hoellen-Loch" bezeichnet, dies wegen den vielen muslimischen Einwanderer. Zirka 9'000 Leute protestierten in der EU-Hauptstadt unter dem Motto "Trump not welcome". Der US-Praesident verbrachte die Nacht nicht im "besten Hotel" in der Stadt, sondern in der gesicherten Residenz des US-Botschafters.
