China has quite reasons to intervene militarily because of the permanent critical security situation in the country and the almost complete withdrawal of international troops. In Afghanistan, terrorist groups like IS or the Taliban are active; with the withdrawal of the US-Americans, the Chinese have to engage themselves more strongly now. China has a common border of 76 kilometers with Afghanistan. The main focus in the bilateral relations is the economy and security. The collaboration in the security policy has resulted in the fact that China is participating in the Afghan anti-terror battle. According to a report by the think-tank "Central Asia-Caucasus Analyst", there is clear evidence that Chinese troops patrol in the north-east part of Afghanistan. China's Government says that it has no military troops deployed in Afghanistan, but it is supporting however local security forces. According to experts, in a country like Afghanistan it is almost impossible to make a distinction between military and police operations. China is concerned about its business interests and the security of Chinese enterprises in Afghanistan; particularly, they want to prevent an overrun of Islamism onto China. With the withdrawal of the US-Americans from the country, the Chinese have to assume more responsibility for the security in their own border region. In Afghanistan sind Terror-Gruppen wie IS oder die Taliban aktiv; mit dem Abzug der US-Amerikaner muessen sich die Chinesen jetzt staerker einsetzen. China hat mit Afghanistan eine gemeinsame Grenze von 76 Kilometern. Die Schwerpunkte in den bilateralen Beziehungen sind die Wirtschaft und die Sicherheit. Die Zusammenarbeit in der Sicherheits-Politik fuehrte dazu, dass sich China im afghanischen Anti-Terror-Kampf beteiligt. Toshiba is said to have commissioned the Swiss bank UBS to carry out a going public or a sale of the company. Such a deal could already be completed in summer and reach a volume of two billion US-Dollars. "Landis + Gyr" was founded in 1896 and employs about 5,700 people; the enterprise is a leading global supplier of energy management solutions (e.g. electric/smart meters). The Toshiba Corporation with 60% and the Innovation Network Corporation of Japan (INCJ) with 40% purchased the shares of "Landis + Gyr" only in 2011 in order to develop the company further together. "Landis + Gyr" has recently published a press release, in which the company writes that it expects a turnover of CHF 1.6 billion (+ 5%) for the fiscal year 2016/17 at the end of March. The cash flow shall be about US-Dollars 100 million, the equity ratio is said to be 65%, and since the takeover by Toshiba, the debts have been reduced by around US-Dollars 550 million. With this information, the Swiss company wants to convince worried suppliers and customers of their own stability. The Japanese group Toshiba is in major financial difficulties; these began after the purchase of the US-company "Westinghouse Electric Company" in 2006. The US-company builds Nuclear Power Plants (NPPs) and thereby Toshiba became one of the largest Nuclear Power producers. Afterwards, the 81-years-old monarch will visit Indonesia, Brunei, Japan, China and the Maldives. The Saudi king is traveling with 1'500 attendants 7 airplanes and 500 tons of luggage, among it several luxury Mercedes limousines and golf carts. On the airfield of the airport in Jakarta a "red carpet" was specially rolled out for the state guest. It is the first visit of a Saudi Arabian king in Indonesia for 47 years. There were no costs spared to make the Asian stay for the king as pleasant as possible. Before the arrival at the palace in Bogor (Indonesia), several naked statues were mantled. According to media, 150 cooks were hired to cook for the king and his companions. In the mosque in Jakarta, a "luxury toilet" has been installed only for the king. After his visit to Jakarta, the king spends his holidays on the island of Bali, where people will live in five luxury hotels. King Salman's trip to Asia is about the development of economic relations. Saudi Arabia is the world's largest oil exporter; the kingdom however feels now clearly the effects of the relatively low price for petroleum. Es wurden keine Kosten gespart um den Asien-Aufenthalt fuer den Koenig so angenehm wie moeglich zu gestalten. Vor der Ankunft im Palast in Bogor (Indonesien) wurde mehrere nackte Statuen verhuellt. Only the University Hospital of Geneva offers the same Emergency Service for seniors in Switzerland. The new unit offers all kind of auxiliary support such as handrail, hearing aids, a bright room, big windows and the possibilty to sit down for treatment etc. The quiet and bright atmosphere is particulary important for elderly patients. In Basle every third emergency patient is over 65 years old; a total of over 53,000 emergency patients were treated last year.
