[WSNH: "Mainstream Media" have hardly reported about it!] Now, specialized organizations, such as the "French Nuclear Watchdog", are reporting details of this incident. Values of the radioactive iodine-131 were measured; you do not need to worry, said the radiation protection authority in the Czech Republic. The values are said to be very low and at the limit of measurability. The figures suddenly rose in the second week of January 2017 at measuring stations in different European countries. The cause of this is completely unclear; it may be that the substance has been leaked from a manufacturer of radioactive drugs. Iodine-131 has a half-life of only eight days. There is a Russian "Atomic Waste Cemetery" at the island "Novaya Zemlya", and in the Barents Sea, there are some nuclear submarines on the sea bottom. British media suspect that Russia could have tested a nuclear explosive device; but this is however denied by geologists. According to the "Bild-Zeitung" probably a nuclear accident had happened. The US-Air Force shall have sent a measuring aircraft into the air, which can detect radioactive substances. According to the Swiss "Federal Office of Health" no trace of "Iodine 131" was detected in Switzerland. "Iodine-131" is used, among other things, in medicine as a contrast medium as well as radiation therapy for thyroid cancer. Environmentalists however criticize this, as there is continued high radiation risks. According to "Greenpeace" the radiation in the village "Iitate" is still dangerously high. According to a study published this week by the environmental organization "Greenpeace Japan", the radiation measured in the surrounding forests of "Iitate" is comparable to the current radiation level within the 30 kilometers exclusion zone of Chernobyl. Japan's Government, however wants to lift the evacuation for a large part of "Iitate"; one year later the compensatory payments for the citizens concerned shall be stopped. Originally 6'000 inhabitants lived in the village. The radiation values measured in and around the houses in "Iitate" are still relatively high and pose an "unacceptable" risk for returning residents, warned Kashiwagi Ai of "Greenpeace Japan". Should villagers return, they risked the same amount of radiation as someone who has X-rayed his chest once a week. The Japanese Government of Prime Minister Abe Shinzo is trying to make the people believe a "false reality", whereby six years after the Fukushima disaster, "Normality" has come back to the humans again, criticized the Belgian Greenpeace radiation expert Mr. Jan Vande Putte. The radiation situation in "Iitate" is anything else than normal for the coming decades. "Greenpeace" requests the Japanese Government to financially support the former residents, so that they are not forced to return for economic reasons. The Abe-Government wants to solve with the so- called "Premium Friday" the problem of overtime. Around 20% of the workers in Japan face the threat of death by overwork (Karoshi), the Government says. Besides, the new "Premium Friday" shall increase the consumption, meaning to spend more money. In a country comparison by the OECD of 40 states, Japan is in the middle field with regard to the working hours per employee; it is however clear, that the Japanese perform a multiple of it. The Germans are ranked last as No. 40, based on the hours worked. The long working days are increasingly criticized by the Japanese people. The computer scientist (IT) Ookoshi Kenji worked overtime for six years; he maintained computer programs for Japanese authorities. When he finished his work at 2 am. at night, he took a taxi back home. However, if he worked until 5 am. or 6 am. in the morning, he slept directly in the office, so that he could start work again at 9:00 am! He didn't question the overtime at all, as the office colleagues stayed also for so long at the office. Now, the 40- years-old Ookoshi-san has his own IT-consulting company. In a "business workshop", he heard for the first time of the "work-life balance"; in Japan it has been talked about it for 5 years. This includes, for example, the "No-Overtime Day" once a week. Ookoshi-san however doesn't believe that the overtime problem can be solved only by stopping work at 3 pm. Then you have just a bit more time to start with "drinking" a bit earlier, that's all. Ookoshi-san says, the workers should have a whole day off. In Japan, the 40-hours-week applies and per month 5 hours overtime are allowed. However, many employees work the triple. Er hat die Ueberstunden nicht hinterfragt, da die Buero-Kollegen ebenfalls so lange im Buero waren. Jetzt hat 40-jaehrige Ookoshi-san ein eigenes IT-Consulting-Unternehmen. In einem "Business-Seminar" hoerte er das erste Mal von der "Work-Life-Balance"; in Japan spricht man seit 5 Jahren darueber. Dazu gehoert zum Beispiel der "Kein-Ueberstunden-Tag" einmal pro Woche. Ookoshi-san glaubt jedoch nicht, dass man das Ueberstunden-Problem loesen kann, wenn man um 15:00 Uhr Arbeitsschluss macht. Dann hat man nur Zeit etwas frueher mit dem "Trinken" zu beginnen, dies sei schon alles. Die Arbeitnehmer sollten dann schon einen ganzen Tag frei haben, meint Ookoshi-san. In Japan gilt die 40- Stunden-Woche und pro Monat sind 5 Ueberstunden erlaubt. Viele Angestellte arbeiten jedoch das Dreifache. Laut "Bloomberg-News" planen nur zirka 3% der Unternehmen "Premium Friday" zu uebernehmen. Apparently, the land needed to be "cleaned up", so 822 Mio. Yen was lopped off the price. The "Moritomo Gakuen" President Kagoike Yasunori is also head of the Osaka branch of "Nippon Kaigi", a nationalist lobby group with close tie to Abe Shinzo and his cabinet. A large majority of the Hungarian people were against Olympic Games in the country.
