Now, there is a discussion among "Anglo-Saxon" (US or UKs) about the so-called "Swiss Stare"; those "Expats" feel so aggrieved and uncomfortable in Switzerland because of the permanent stare of the Swiss people at them. An US-American woman is quoted, who feels to be the object of "Swiss Stare" everywhere in the public space, in the train, at the post office, in the restaurant, etc. The "long looking"of Swiss at people is no longer decent, complains another US-American. A young woman from the USA, even writes on her "blog", "Swiss people might smell non-Swiss" and she feels frustrated. Swiss people "look" at all, strangers and fellow countrymen. An Australian reports that "when a glass falls down and breaks in a restaurant, the room becomes quiet and everyone is staring". For many "Anglo-Saxon" the "gazing" (stare) of the Swiss is no more fun. Children in the United States and Great Britain learn that "staring at people is impolite," writes a woman from US-Georgia. A Canadian, author of the blog "How to be Swiss" explains that the Swiss "gazing" is a kind of collective early-warning system, because Switzerland is a small country in the middle of "stronger neighbors"! Through the "gazing" (stare), the Swiss make sure that "everything is right in their world," said the Canadian further. In Switzerland, "gazing" (stare) is a prophylactic habit, a kind of "life in alert readiness". The author Diccon Bewes (UK) says that in Switzerland, it is considered polite when you look into each other's eyes, even over a longer period of time, in a conversation with friends or at the workplace. Ein US-Amerikanerin wird zitiert, welche sich ueberall im oeffentlichen Raum, in der Bahn, auf der Post, im Restaurant usw. von Schweizern "angestarrt" fuehlt. Das "lange Anschauen" der Schweizer sei nicht mehr anstaendig, beklagt sich ein anderer US-Amerikaner. Eine junge Frau aus den USA, schreibt sogar auf ihrem "Blog", "Schweizer koennten Nicht-Schweizer riechen" und sie fuehlt sich frustriert. Schweizer "gucken" (schauen) alle an, Fremde und Eigene. Ein Australier berichtet, dass "wenn im Restaurant ein Glas herunterfaellt und zerbricht, dann werde der Raum still und alle starrten". Fuer viele "Anglo-Saxon" sei das "Anstarren" der Schweizer kein Spass mehr. Kinder in den USA und Grossbritannien lernen, dass "Leute anstarren unhoeflich" sei, schreibt eine Frau aus US-Georgia. Ein Kanadier, Autor des Blog "How to be Swiss" erklaert, dass das "Schauen" der Schweizer, eine Art kollektives Fruehwarn- System sei, da sich die Schweiz als kleines Land in der Mitte von "staerkeren Nachbarn" befinde! Durch das "Starren" vergewissern sich die Schweizer, dass "alles stimmt in ihrer Welt", sagte der Kanadier weiter. In der Schweiz werde vorbeugend gestarrt, eine Art "Leben in Alarm-Bereitschaft". Der Autor Diccon Bewes (UK) meint, es sei in der Schweiz hoeflich, wenn man sich in die Augen schaut, auch ueber laengere Zeit, bei einem Gespraech unter Freunden oder am Arbeitsplatz. In Japan, gambling has been prohibited so far in general; nevertheless the country is with a turnover of 140 billion Euro, one of the largest gambling markets in the world. 100 million of Japanese are "greedy" on games like sports betting, horse racing, lotteries and Pachinko, all of which are not subject to the Gambling Law. Almost 60% of the income from gambling comes from 16,000 gambling halls with nearly 400,000 Pachinko machines. At the Pachinko, there are non-cash benefits, items such as gold bars etc., which can be won and then will be exchanged for money. With this gap the prohibition of money prizes can be bypassed! The legalization of casinos could mean the "end" for the "popular" Pachinko. The Komeito party fears an increase in gambling addiction in Japan; the "gambling lobby" and the media in Japan hardly write about gambling addiction. Japaner sind "gierig" auf Spiele wie Sportwetten, Pferde-Rennen, Lotterien und Pachinko, welche alle nicht dem Gluecks-Spielgesetz unterstehen. Fast 60% der Einnahmen aus Gluecksspiele stammen aus 16,000 Spielhallen mit beinahe 400,000 Pachinko-Automaten. Beim Pachinko gibt es Sachpreise z.B. Goldbarren etc. zu gewinnen, welche dann in Geld umgetauscht werden koennen. Mit dieser Luecke kann das Verbot der Geldgewinne umgangen werden! Die Legalisierung von Kasinos koennte das "Aus" fuer die "beliebten" Pachinko bedeuten. Die Komeito-Partei befuerchtet eine Zunahme der Spielsucht in Japan; die "Gluecksspiel-Lobby" und die Medien in Japan schreiben kaum ueber die Spielsucht. He heads the "Executive Committee" and the President is elected by the General Assembly for a period of four years. "Interpol" is the largest police organization in the world. The 63-years-old Meng Hongwei has been Vice-Police Minister of the People's Republic of China (PRC) for 12 years. As in other countries, the police is also in China responsible for law and order; but it is no secret that the Chinese police is also a "political instrument". It is to support the ruling of the party; Amnesty International called the election of Mr. Meng Hongwei as Interpol President as "extremely alarming." For years, China has been trying to "arrest dissidents and refugees abroad through Interpol".
