Therefore, he presents his idea of a North- and South Euro. He calls for far-reaching reforms, such as a Banking-Union or a common deposit guarantee. It is unlikely that the Euro-Zone will still have 19 members in ten years, said the ex-chief economist of the World Bank. Germany shall have already accepted that Greece will leave the Euro-Zone. According to Stiglitz, only the dissolution of the single currency or a split into a North-Euro and a South-Euro could revive the lame economy of the continent. In Italy, the people are increasingly disappointed by the Euro; "Italy does not work in the Euro-Zone," say leading politicians of the country. According to US-Stiglitz "the Euro has been a big mistake since its birth". The "common (single) currency should have brought more prosperity and leading to more solidarity in Europe". It has however achieved the exact opposite, says Stiglitz. He says that the "economic depression is worse in many countries" than at the time of the "Great Depression" in the 1930s. Because many countries have lost their own currencies, they can no longer decide themselves about interest rates and exchange rates. Deutschland habe bereits akzeptiert, dass Griechenland die Euro-Zone verlassen werde. Laut Stiglitz koenne nur die Aufloesung der Gemeinschafts-Waehrung oder eine Spaltung in einen Nord-Euro und einen Sued-Euro die lahmende Wirtschaft des Kontinents wieder in Schwung bringen. However, such a campaign only works if a majority has something to lose, he said. In Great Britain, however, there is a great social inequality (a majority had nothing to lose due to the Brexit)! Fuer Irland werde die Mitgliedschaft in der EU ohne Grossbritannien anders sein, sagte der irische Botschafter. Die Stadt Wisbech, eine grosse Landwirtschafts-Region, dort sind die Leute sehr zufrieden ueber den Entscheid. Einige Leute sind wohltuend ueberrascht. Sie meinten, vor der Abstimmung haetten sich die Buerger zurueckgehalten ihre Meinung offen zu sagen; jetzt haetten viele Buerger ein Laecheln im Gesicht und seien zufrieden ueber den Brexit. Sie finden es gebe hier einfach zu viele Einwanderer (aus Polen). Der neue Vorsitzende der Bewegung "Open Briton" sagte, sie haetten vor der Abstimmung die falsche Kampagne gemacht; es sei nur um die Wirtschaft gegangen. Ein solche Kampagne funktioniere jedoch nur, wenn eine Mehrheit etwas zu verlieren habe, sagte er. If 43,000 (80%) Swiss farms were equipped with solar panels on the roof then they could produce the same amount of electricity as two Nuclear Power Plants (NPP). The study by "Solar Agentur Schweiz" even says if additionally 30% of the industrial buildings and 50% of the apartment houses were equipped with solar panels, then five times more electricity would be produced than all Swiss Nuclear Power Plants together.
