Based on the survey, 35% are in favor of a complete abolishment and 36% are for an easing of the sanctions. Only just 18% want to continue the imposed measures. The survey was conducted on April 11./12, 2016. US-President Obama was in Germany on his farewell visit requesting that the sanctions against Russia could only be lifted when the country had completely fulfilled the obligations under the "Minsk-Agreement". The EU-Sanctions will expire by the end of July 2016 and have to be extended then. Vice-Chancellor and SPD-Chairman Sigmar Gabriel considers that the sanctions should at least be lifted partially. After the recent "NATO-Russia Council" meeting, there are many indications that there will be soon again normality in the relationship between Europe and Russia; the article in the newspaper "Tages-Anzeiger" subtitled the report with the phrase "Business as usual". Signs for that are the visits of the French and German Foreign Ministers at Vladimir Putin in Russia; the state visit of President Putin in Paris in autumn will also be expected with joy, was reported. Europe is no longer willing to suffer from the "negative consequences" of the sanctions-policy only because of its solidarity with the Ukraine. The prolongation of the EU- sanctions depends on Angela Merkel; she is however "under pressure". She has annoyed with the "Baltic Sea gas pipeline" between Germany and Russia many EU-countries; eight EU-States have therefore sent a letter of protest to the EU-Commission. Members of the French National Assembly voted by the majority for a resolution, which calls on the government to oppose the prolongation of sanctions against Russia. Laut einer "Forsa-Umfrage" ist eine Mehrheit der Deutschen fuer eine Aufhebung oder wenigstens fuer eine Lockerung der EU-Sanktionen gegen Russland; diese wurden im Jahr 2014 wegen der Ukraine-Krise von der EU verhaengt. Laut der Umfrage sind 35% fuer eine vollstaendige Aufhebung und 36% fuer eine Lockerung der Sanktionen. Nur gerade 18% sind fuer eine Weiterfuehrung der bisherigen Massnahmen. Die Umfrage wurde am 11./12. April 2016 durchgefuehrt. US-Praesident Obama verlangte bei seinem (Abschieds)-Besuch in Deutschland, die Sanktionen gegen Russland duerften erst aufgehoben werden, wenn das Land die Verpflichtungen gemaess der "Minsker-Vereinbarung" vollstaendig erfuellt habe. Die EU-Sanktionen laufen noch bis Ende Juli 2016 und muessten dann wieder verlaengert werden. Stv-Bundeskanzler und SPD- Partei-Vorsitzender Sigmar Gabriel ist der Ansicht die Sanktionen sollten wenigstens teilweise aufgehoben werden. Nach dem kuerzlichen "NATO-Russland-Rat" (Nato-Russia Council) Treffen, deutet viel darauf hin, dass bald wieder Normalitaet herrschen koennte im Verhaeltnis zwischen Europa und Russland; der Artikel in der Zeitung "Tages- Anzeiger" ueberschreibt den Bericht dazu mit "Business as usual". Zeichen dafuer sind die Besuche der franzoesischen und deutschen Aussen-Minister bei Wladimir Putin in Russland; der Staatsbesuch von Praesident Putin in Paris im Herbst werde ebenfalls mit Freude erwartet, wird berichtet. Europa ist nicht mehr bereit, nur aus Solidaritaet zur Ukraine, die "negativen Folgen" der Sanktions-Politik zu tragen! Die Verlaengerung der EU-Sanktionen haengt von Angela Merkel ab; sie steht jedoch "unter Druck". Sie hat mit der "Ostsee- Gaspipline" zwischen Deutschland und Russland viele EU-Laender veraergert; acht EU Staaten schickten deshalb ein Protest-Schreiben an die EU-Kommission. Abgeordnete der franzoesischen National-Versammlung stimmten mehrheitlich fuer eine Resolution, welche die Regierung auffordert, die Verlaengerung der Sanktionen gegen Russland abzulehnen. Now, Obama has "interfered" into the discussion at the very beginning of his UK-stay. Obama urged the British to stay in the "EU" and warned about the "Brexit" (leaving the EU); US-Obama clearly supported Premier Cameron with such a declaration. Allegations that Obama's visit would manipulate the "public opinion" in favor of staying in the "EU" were rejected by US- Obama. President Obama claimed that he just wanted to deliver the Birthday congratulations to Her Majesty the Queen personally. Mayor of London, Mr. Boris Johnson contradicted the statement of US-Obama about the "Brexit". Mr. Johnson called it "perverse" if just a country like the USA would recommend Great Britain a system like the EU. The USA not even thought in a dream to integrate itself into any "international legal system"! Mr. Johnson pointed out that the USA is the "only country" in the world that had not signed the UN-convention for the Rights of Children!! Nearly 400,000 people in the vicinity of the "NPP" (restricted zone) were evacuated; particularly affected was the region around the City of Gomel (Belarus), which is more than 100 kilometers away from the site of the accident. The City of Pripyat with 50,000 inhabitants, which is located very close to the "NPP-ground" was completely evacuated already on April 29, 1986 and the City has remained a Ghost-Town up to today. On May 4, 1986 all places in a 30 kilometers restricted zone were evacuated; in Poland and Scandinavia an enormous high radioactivity was measured at that time. The almost "deserted" zone covers today about 2,600 square kilometers in the Ukraine and in Belarus, there are a 2,165 square kilometers, which have to be added. The restricted zone in Belarus was declared a "state radio-ecological nature park". The contaminated area around Chernobyl was recaptured by nature and (wild) animals. The radiation exposure is in the radio- active restricted zone still well over the levels of before the (blast) "Worst Case Scenario" (Super-GAU); animals & plants have adapted to the high radiation. April 1986 explodierte Block Nr. 4 des Atomkraft-Werks (AKW) Tschnernobyl und verbreitete eine riesige Menge an radio-aktiven Stoffen ueber fast ganz Europa. Beinahe 400'000 Menschen in der Umgebung des "AKW" (Sperrgebiet) wurden evakuiert; besonders betroffen war die Region um die Stadt Gomel (Weissrussland), welche mehr als 100km vom Ungluecks-Ort entfernt liegt. Die Stadt Prypjat mit 50'000 Einwohner, welche sich ganz in der Naehe des "AKW- Gelaende" befindet, wurde schon am 29. April 1986 vollstaendig evakuiert und ist bis heute eine "Geister-Stadt". Am 4. Mai 1986 wurden alle Orte in einer 30km-Sperrzone evakuiert; in Polen und Skandinavien wurde damals eine enorm hohe Radioaktivitaet gemessen. Die fast "menschenleere" Zone umfasst in der Ukraine heute zirka 2'600 Quadrat-Kilometer und in Weissrussland kommen noch 2'165 Quadrat-Kilometer dazu. Das Sperrgebiet in Weissrussland wurde zum "staatlichen radio-oekologischen Natur-Park" erklaert. Das verstrahlte Gebiet um Tschnernobyl wurde von der Natur und den (wilden) Tieren zurueckerobert. Die Strahlenbelastung liegt im radio-aktiven Sperrgebiet weiterhin deutlich ueber den Werten vor dem "Super-GAU"; Tiere und Pflanzen haetten sich an die hohe Strahlung angepasst. The order is based on an incident on January 29, 2016 by a Japan Airlines (JAL) flight from Vancouver to Narita. At that time one of the two engines stopped on a altitude of 6,000 meters and it couldn't be restarted. Fortunately, the aircraft could fly to Japan with only "one engine".
