The Europe-wide protest day was co-organized by the organization <Attac>, a globalization-critical network. According to <Attac>, about 750 protest actions in about 45 countries were planned. The motto of the world-wide <Action-Day> of April 18, 2015 was <<People and the Planet before Profits!>>. In Tokyo a protest demonstration took place against the Free-Trade-Agreement <TPP> (Trans-Pacific Partnership). The demonstrations are also against the planned agreements with Canada (CETA) and the intended services-agreement <TISA> with the USA. Alone in Germany more than 230 protest events were planned; protest rallies took place also in Vienna and Zurich. The 9th round of negotiations about the <TTIP-Agreement> between the USA and the EU has already started. It is feared that the <TTIP> will bring a worsening for the consumers in Europe. It is spoken of an erosion of standards regarding to the consumer protection and the food safety. <TTIP> would allow private (US-) groups to sue States (in Europe) at a court of arbitration for instance!! Besides, it is criticized that the negotiations of the EU-commission and the US-Government about the agreement are non-transparent (Black Box)!! The consumer protection organization <Foodwatch> has recognized <a really big risk>; <TTIP> is going to limit the democratic rights!! The CEO of <Foodwatch> Mr. Thilo Bode warned that the corporate groups got even more influence how laws were written. 20'000 citizens protested in Munich against <TTIP>; it was warned about a <cutback of ecological, social and cultural standards>!!. Im Rahmen eines <Aktions-Tag> protestierten in Europa Zehntausende von Buergern gegen das geplante Freihandels-Abkommen der EU mit den USA [Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP)]. Der europaweite Protest-Tag wurde von der Organisation <Attac>, einem globalisierungs-kritischen Netzwerk mit-organisiert. Gemaess <Attac> waren etwa 750 Protest-Aktionen in zirka 45 Laendern geplant; Das Motto des weltweiten <Aktions-Tag> vom 18. April 2015 lautete <<Mensch und Umwelt vor Profit!>> (People and the Planet before Profits!); in Tokyo fand eine Protest-Demonstration gegen das Freihandels-Abkommen <TPP> (Trans-Pacific Partnership) statt. Die Demonstrationen richten sich ebenfalls das geplante Abkommen mit Kanada <CETA> und ein vorgesehenes Dienstleistungs-Abkommen mit den USA <TISA>. UNO-Welt-Gluecks-Bericht 2015: Schweiz ist die No. 1. 国連の求めに依る最新の「世界幸福度報告書2015」によると、スイスが現在 「世界で最も幸福な国」になった。研究者達は所得、平均寿命、社会的ネッ トワーク、自由度等の要因を158か国で分析した。幸福の指標は世界中の政府 の「より良い政策」の指針になる。2015年の上位5か国は1位がスイス、2位が アイスランド、3位がデンマーク、4位がノルウェイ、5位がカナダ。報告書に よると、最も幸福な国の内7か国が西ヨーロッパの小国又は中規模の国。ドイ ツは漸く26位で、フランスは29位、イタリアは50位だった。米国は15位で、 日本は46位、韓国は47位、中国は84位。戦争と暴力、並びに不安定な経済的 が人を不幸にする事を、報告書の最後の10位の国が示している！同報告書は しかし「金だけで幸福にはならない」事も示している。正義、誠実、信頼と 健康も又幸福な人生には重要！！ニューヨークのコロンビア大学の「地球研 究所」がこの報告書を作成、社会福祉を達成出来る方法も示している。 (出典：2015年4月24日付スイス公共放送ニュース) According to the latest <World Happiness Report 2015> by order of the United Nations (UN), Switzerland is presently the <happiest country of the world>. Researchers analyzed factors such as income, life span, social network and the perceived freedom of 158 countries. The Happiness-Index intends to guide Governments on the whole world to make a <better politics>. The first five countries of the ranking list 2015 are: 1) Switzerland, 2) Iceland, 3) Denmark, 4) Norway and 5) Canada. Based on the report seven out of ten of the happiest countries are small or middle-sized states in Western Europe. Germany is ranked only just as No.26, France is ranked as No. 29 and Italy is ranked as No. 50. The USA are placed on the ranking No.15; Japan ranks as No. 46, South Korea as number 47 and China (PRC) is ranked as No.84. War and Violence as well as economical uncertainty make the people unhappy; that shows a look on the last ten rankings of the report! The report however shows also that <Money alone doesn't make happy>. Justice, honesty, trust and health are also important for a happy life!! The <Earth Institute> at the Columbia University in New York established the report; it illustrates how societal well-being can be reached. Gemaess dem aktuellen <World Happiness Report 2015> im Auftrag der Vereinigten Nationen (United Nations) ist die Schweiz derzeit das <gluecklichste Land der Welt>. Forscher analysierten Faktoren wie Einkommen, Lebens-Erwartung, soziales Netz und gefuehlte Freiheit von 158 Laendern. Der Gluecks-Index soll Regierungen auf der ganzen Welt zu einer <besseren Politik> anleiten. Die ersten fuenf Laender im 2015 sind: 1) Schweiz, 2) Island, 3) Daenemark, 4) Norwegen und 5) Kanada. Laut dem Bericht sind sieben der zehn gluecklichsten Laender, kleine oder mittel-grosse Staaten in West-Europa; Deutschland liegt nur auf Rang No. 26, Frankreich auf Rang No. 29 und Italien auf Rang No. 50. It is famous and wanted like an <Oscar> among Journalists in the USA. The award is given since 1917 and the Pulitzer-Price was donated by Mr. Joseph Pulitzer (Source: Wikipedia). The price is awarded in different categories and the price money is about 10,000 US-Dollar. The <New York Times> was awarded with a Pulitzer-Price even in three categories: 1) International Reporting, 2) Investigative Reporting and 3) Photography. The Price for <investigative reporting> received the <New York Times> together with the <Wall Street Journal>. The journalist Mr. Eric Lipton of the <NY-Times> was recognized for his article, which disclosed the influence of lobbyists on Attorneys General. The journalist spent nine months of search work on it. The article describes, how lobbyists try to influence with different kind of methods investigations in their favor!! It is said to be important that newspapers like the NY-Times are still willing to provide major funds for profound <investigative reporting>. Further Pulitzer-Prices went to the <NY-Times> for their reporting about the <Ebola-epidemic> in West-Africa. Dafuer wendete der Journalist neun Monate Arbeit fuer die Nachforschungen auf. Expo 2015 Milano: Grosse Plaene, wenig verwirklicht. イタリア人は2008年ミラノがトルコのイズミールを排して「エキスポ2015」に 選ばれた時熱狂した。エキスポ会場はミラノ郊外の「無人地帯」が選ばれた。 ここは元石油精製所だった場所で、不毛な荒涼とした土地だ。理由無しに出掛 けて行く者など誰もいない、と書かれている。イタリア人は新しいインフラス トラクチャー、新しい高速道路、新しい地下鉄網、新しい研究都市、新しい市 街地を建設しようとしていた。5万本の木も植樹されるはずだった。灰色のミ ラノはようやく緑の姿を示そうとしていた！しかし全ては変わってしまった。 危機がイタリアを手酷く襲い、ローマ政府は「エキスポ2015」も含めた全ての 予算を縮小した。賄賂と犯罪組織(マフィア)の問題が影響して、エキスポ会場 の建設作業を止め大幅な遅れにつながった。中国人もエキスポ2015でミラノに 進出しようとしている。彼らはイタリア人が2015年5月1日までに全てを完成さ せることが出来るかどうか、好奇の目で見ている。約束の樹木は無しで済ます しかなく、エキスポ鉄道駅<Roh>への接続を期日通りに完成させる事は不可能 な状態。典型的なスイス風の「スイス・パヴィリオン」は既に整い、2015年4 月20日報道陣に公開された。「イタリア・パヴィリオン」は完全に準備万端と はなりそうもないと言われており、いくつかの遅れは「イタリア芸術」の様に 化粧建築で隠蔽される。ミラノではエキスポにもかかわらず追加ホテルの提供 は無く、中クラスでは特に！薄暗い三ツ星ホテル(築1980年)の室料が200ユー ロからは珍しくない！！ミラノから汽車で僅か35分の美しいコモ(イタリア)が 宿泊に推奨されている。もっと良い選択は、素晴らしく清潔な風景のスイスの ティチーノに泊まる事。ティチーノの幾つかのホテルは特に「エキスポ・パッ ケージ」を提供している。スイス鉄道SBBはミラノのエキスポ入場券付日帰り 旅行切符を発行しているので、イタリアでの宿泊は避けることが出来る。(出 典：2015年4月8日付バーゼル・オンライン紙＆ターゲス・アンツァイガー紙) The Italians were euphoric as Milan (Milano) was chosen in 2008 for the next <Expo 2015> before the Turkish City of Izmir. As Expo ground was chosen the <no man's land> on the outskirts of the City of Milan. It was the location of a former petroleum refinery, a desolated and deserted area. Nobody would hardly go there without a reason was written. The Italians intended to build new infrastructures, new expressways, new subways, new research centers and new urban districts. 50'000 trees should also have been planted; the gray Milan wanted to present itself at last <green>! However, everything had changed; the crisis hit Italy sharply and the Government in Rome cut all budgets, also those for the <Expo 2015>. Problems with corruption and the influence of criminal organizations (Mafia) led however to stops of construction works and caused (major) delays regarding to the building of the Expo site. The Chinese also want to come to Milan to the Expo 2015; they are curious whether the Italians are capable to finish everything up to May 1, 2015. One has to do it without the (promised) trees and the Expo-rail connection <Rho> will hardly be ready in time. The typical Swiss-like <Swiss Pavilion> is ready and was presented to the press already on April 20, 2015. The <Pavilion Italy> is said to be rather not fully ready; certain shortfalls will be hidden the <Italian way> with construction-cosmetics. In Milan despite the <Expo> no additional hotel-supplies were created; particularly in the middle-class sector! A hotel room price of 200 Euro (ca. Yen 20,000) at a gloomy Three-Stars-hotel (built in 1980) is not seldom!! It is recommended to stay at the beautiful Como (Italy), only 35 train-minutes away from Milan. Even better is to stay overnight in the Swiss Ticino region, where a wonderful and clean countryside welcomes the guests. Certain Ticino-Hotels offer special <Expo-Packages>. The Swiss railway <SBB> offers interesting day excursions together with a Milan Expo-ticket. Then you don't need to stay overnight in Italy. Die Italiener waren begeistert als Mailand (Milano) 2008 vor der tuerkischen Stadt Izmir fuer die <Expo 2015> gewaehlt wurde. Als Expo- Gelaende wurde das <Niemands-Land> vor den Toren von Mailand auserkoren. Es ist der Standort einer ehemaligen Erdoel-Raffinerie, eine oede und verlassene Gegend; ohne Grund wuerde kaum jemand dorthin gehen, wird geschrieben. Die Italiener wollten eine neue Infrastruktur, neue Schnell-Strassen, neue U-Bahn-Linien, neue Forschungs-Staetten und neue Quartiere bauen. Es sollten ebenfalls 50'000 Baeume geplanzt werden; das graue Mailand wollte sich endlich <gruen> praesentieren! Es wurde jedoch alles anders; die Krise traf Italien heftig und die Regierung in Rom kuerzte alle Budgets, auch jene fuer die <Expo 2015>. Probleme mit Bestechung und der Einfluss von kriminellen Organisationen (Mafia) fuehrten jedoch zu Stopps bei Bauarbeiten und zu (grosser) Verspaetung bei der Erstellung der Expo- Anlagen. Die Chinesen wollen ebenfalls an die Expo 2015 nach Milano kommen; sie sind neugierig, ob die Italiener alles noch fertigen machen koennen bis zum 1. Mai 2015. Auf die Baeume muss verzichtet werden und der Expo-Eisenbahn-Anschluss <Rho> wird kaum rechtzeitig fertig. Der typisch schweizerische <Schweizer Pavillon> ist bereit und wurde bereits am 20. April 2015 der Presse vorgestellt. Der <Pavillon Italien> wird eher nicht vollstaendig fertig sein; gewisse Rueckstaende wuerden nach <italienischer Art> mit <Bau-Kosmetik> verheimlicht werden. In Milano wurden trotz <Expo> nicht mehr Hotel- Angebote geschaffen; insbesondere in der Mittelklasse! Ein Zimmer- Preis von 200 Euro (ca. Yen 20'000) in einem finsteren Drei-Stern- Hotel (gebaut 1980) ist keine Seltenheit!! Es wird empfohlen im schoenen Como (Italien), nur 35 Zug-Minuten von Milano entfernt, zu uebernachten. Noch besser ist es im Schweizer Ticino, wo es eine wunderbare und saubere Landschaft gibt zu uebernachten. Gewisse Ticino-Hotels haben besondere <Expo-Packages> im Angebot. Die Schweizer Eisenbahn SBB bietet interessante Tagesausfluege mit Milano Expo-Eintritt (Ticket) an; dann kann auf eine Uebernachtung in Italien verzichtet werden.
