In the past, <Coca-Cola> represented the dream for <Freedom, for desire and upraise>. It meant the wish for America and a capitalism, which should make happy! Those times seem to have gone; the USA is for many young Europeans no longer a <role model>. Coca-Cola was located for several years as the number one on the <Best Global Brands>; other US- companies have now replaced Coca-Cola from the top. The US-Group <Coca-Cola> has a <sugar-problem> and the turnover (sales figures) has declined. Even the US-Americans consume less Coca-Cola since 10 years, wrote the <Wall Street Journal>. When drinking a classic can of Coca- Cola (0.33 liter), you consume 139 calories. The new <Coke Life>, it shall contain only just 89 calories. The <Coca-Cola Life> is called a diet drink with vegetable extracts; it is now on sale in Great Britain. There were already before two calorie-free products on sale; Coke Light & Coke Zero; they were however sold badly. The sales figures declined by 7%. The UK-Government takes now actions against the sugar industry and particularly against the soft drink manufacturers. In order to avoid a sugar-tax, Coca-Cola has obliged itself to reduce the calorie content of its products by an average of 5% by the end of 2014. Beim Konsum einer klassischen Dose Coca-Cola (0,33 Liter) nimmt man 139 Kalorien zu sich. Beim neuen <Coke Life> sollen es noch 89 Kalorien sein. Swiss Francs, the reconstructed station Cornavin (Geneva Central Station) was officially inaugurated this week. Federal Councilor Mrs. Doris Leuthard (Minister of Traffic UVEK) spoke at the event; present were also representatives of Geneva and the Swiss Railway Company SBB. Historic parts of the previous station building were preserved and in accordance with the monument protection authority renovated. Now, the biggest City in the French part of Switzerland, has again an appropriate station, said the Federal Councilor. Up to the year 2030, it is expected that the passenger traffic at the public transport system in the Geneva region will increase by more than 60%. The travelers on the railway section Lausanne to Geneva are believed to double onto 100,000 persons per day up to 2030, said the SBB. Now, the planning process for the underground development of the station is running; two more railways trucks shall be built. According to the CEO of SBB, nearly 3 billion Swiss Francs will be invested into railway projects in the <Lake Geneva> region within the scope of the project <Leman 2030>. In Media interviews in Switzerland, the ex-USSR President spoke about the matter that <certain people wanted a new version of the Cold War>. Gorbachev criticized the <NATO> because of its planned military-bases in the Baltic countries. He believes that the <Baltic people were bought (bribed)>; <Russia wants peace, but it will however defends itself when feeling threatened>, said the ex-USSR President. According to Gorbachev, the US-Americans have violated the agreements of 1990 with the NATO-expansion!! He referred to the negotiations with US-James Baker; Baker had promised that the NATO would expand no centimeter in the East of Europe. Gorbachev said further, <now, we know how much the serious promises of the US-American are worth>. Regarding to the Ukraine-crisis, the parties have to search for a political solution. For the Eastern Ukraine, he thinks that a possible solution could be the example of the Crimea-referendum (self-determination). Gorbachev praised the efforts of the Swiss President within the scope of the OSZE; the Swiss is said to make an effort for a settlement between the conflict-parties. Laut Gorbatschow haben die US-Amerikaner mit der NATO-Erweiterung gegen die Vereinbarungen von 1990 verstossen!! Er bezog sich dabei auf die Verhandlungen mit US-James Baker; dieser habe versprochen, dass sich die NATO im Osten Europas keinen Zentimeter ausdehnen werde. EWZ-Zuerich: Neuer Windpark in Betrieb. The wind farm was built together with the German company <Ostwind> and the wind power plant is located in Northern France, 30 kilometers away from the English Channel. There is a good wind regime; the measured wind speed is 7.4 meters per second. The plant produces annually 35 Giga-Watt-Hours (GWh) electricity; that corresponds to an annual electricity consumption of 13,000 households in the City of Zurich. The construction period for the six wind turbines took one year; with the wind farm <Epinette>, the electricity production made out of wind power has increased to about 140 Gwh per year. The <EWZ> intends to strongly expand the electricity production made by wind and solar energy. That shall happen mainly abroad; for the expansion of the wind power, the <EWZ> has the focus on the location of France. The conditions in France are particularly favorable, said the <EWZ>. In Germany, the <EWZ> operates also five wind farms with 30 turbines. The production of power coming from renewable energies shall be increased to 1,600 GWh up to 2020. That corresponds to 40% of the electricity, which the City of Zurich consumes. Das Elektrizitaets-Werk Zuerich (EWZ) konnte einen weiteren (neuen) Windpark (Wind Farm) in Betrieb nehmen. Die Anlage produziert jaehrlich 35 Gigawatt-Stunden Elektrizitaet; dies entspricht einem Strom-Verbrauch von 13'000 Haushalten in der Stadt Zuerich. Die Bauzeit fuer die sechs Windraeder dauerte ein Jahr; mit dem Windpark <Epinette> steigt die Strom-Produktion aus Windkraft auf zirka 140 Gwh pro Jahr. Die <EWZ> will die Strom-Produktion aus Wind- und Solar-Energie stark ausbauen. Now, Switzerland has for the first time organized an international congress about that theme; that event is dedicated exclusively on the theme of the vocational education & training. The <International Congress on Vocational and Professional Education and Training> takes place in Winterthur (ZH) from September 15 to 18, 2014. Looking at the list of participants, you can see that professional experts, representatives from Politics, Economy and Science, which are in charge of vocational education, participate. They are coming from the whole world. The number of participants is limited to 400 persons; from Japan, representatives from the <Javada> (Japan Vocational Ability Development Association) are at the Congress. Notable personalities from Politics, Economy and Science from Switzerland and abroad speak at the event. There are already continuative events planed in 2015 & 2016. The US <Second Lady> Mrs. Jill Biden, who works as teacher, visited the Swiss Congress and is enthusiastic about the Swiss System. US-Jill Biden said, that in the USA, the training of apprentice (vocational education) is still in <its infancy> stage!! She engages into the vocational education and training in the USA. According to media, Switzerland receives nearly on a weekly basis delegations from abroad coming to study the Swiss dual vocational system and its <Best Practices>. Presently the national <Swiss Skills 2014> takes place in Berne; on the 1st Swiss Skills Championship apprentices in 70 occupations (jobs) compete in a contest about Swiss titles. Jetzt fuehrt die Schweiz erstmals einen internationalen Berufs- Bildungskongress durch; dieser widmet sich ausschliesslich dem Thema Berufsbildung. Die Veranstaltung <International Congress on Vocational and Professional Education and Training> findet vom 15. bis 18. September 2014 in Winterthur (ZH) statt. Ein Blick in die Teilnehmerliste zeigt, dass Fachexperten, Vetreter aus Politik, Wirtschaft und Wissenschaft, welche sich mit der Berufsbildung befassen, aus der ganzen Welt teilnehmen.
