Wasser-Fluten: Tokyo ist New York City Jahre voraus! アメリカ人が「サンディ」と名付けたハリケーンは、ニューヨークの地下鉄 構内と地下道を浸水させた。東京ではこのような事態は起きようがない。賢 い日本人は既に何年も前に正しい安全対策を講じている。東京の地下には複 合施設と、寺院に匹敵する高さ65メートル、巾32メートルの空間を持つ完成 した排水設備が在る。この設備の建設には15年を要し、1992年既に工事が始 められており、建設費は25億スイスフラン費やされた。この排水設備は世界 最大規模で、観光客が見学できる。1999年と2001年の間に東京では17回洪水 が発生しており、このような設備が在るにもかかわらず何人もの犠牲者が出 た。このトンネル設備は長さが60キロメートルあり、強力なポンプで水を太 平洋に流れる江戸川へ導く。ポンプは毎秒200トンの排水能力が在る。スイ スにも日本の設備に似た地下の貯蔵タンクを同様の目的で建設している。し かし容積は小さく、カントン・ツューリッヒにはおよそ300か所に広めの居 間位の広さの貯水槽がある。[WSNH: 米国のインフラの判断は読者に委ねる が、質的標準として日本かスイスを訪問する事をお勧めする。] （出典：2012年11月1日付ターゲス・アンツァイガー紙） The hurricane <Sandy> as the Americans have called it, flooded subway shafts and road tunnels in New York; something like that could hardly happen in Tokyo because the <wise> Japanese have already taken the right protection measures years ago. In the underground of Tokyo, there exists a complex and perfected water drainage system with halls similar to a cathedral having a height of 65 meters and a width of 32 meters. The construction of that system took 15 years and the start was already in the year 1992; the cost amounted to 2.5 billion Swiss Francs. The water drainage system is the biggest in the world and it can be visited by tourists. Between 1999 and 2001 there were 17 floods in Tokyo; despite all of that effort, several people lost their lives. The tunnel system has a length of 60 kilometers; massive pumps channel the water into the river <Edogawa>, which then runs into the Pacific Ocean. The pump performance amounts to 200 tons of water per second. In Switzerland underground retention ponds similar to the <Japanese method> were built; they serve the same purpose. Those ponds have however a much smaller volume; in the Canton of Zurich, about 300 man- made basins exist; they have however only about the size of a spacious living-room. Im Untergrund von Tokyo existiert ein komplexes und ausgereiftes Entwaesserungs-System mit 65 Meter hohen und 32 Meter breiten Hallen, vergleichbar einer Kathedrale. Der Bau dieses Systems dauerte 15 Jahre und wurde schon im Jahr 1992 angefangen; die Kosten betrugen 2,5 Mrd. Schweizer Franken. Das Entwaesserungs-System ist das groesste auf der Welt und es kann von Touristen besichtigt werden. Zwischen 1999 und 2001 gab es in Tokyo 17 Ueberschwemmungen; trotz allem verloren mehrere Menschen ihr Leben. Das Tunnel-System hat eine Laenge von 60 Kilometern; gewaltige Pumpen leiten das Wasser in den Fluss <Edogawa>, welcher dann in den Pazifik fliesst. Die Pumpen-Leistung betraegt 200 Tonnen Wasser pro Sekunde. In der Schweiz wurden aehnlich der <japanischen Methode> unterirdische Auffang-Becken gebaut, welche den gleichen Zweck haben. Diese haben jedoch einen kleineren Umfang; im Kanton Zuerich existieren zirka 300 Sammel- Becken, welche nur ungefaehr die Groesse eines geraeumigen Wohnzimmers haben. Die <Luft-Schloesser> der CH-Grossbanken an der Wall-Street. 新聞はスイスの大銀行に依る90年代のロンドンとニューヨークでの買い物を 報じた。両都市は「アングロサクソンの投資銀行」の中心地として知られて いる。これ等の買収が最終的にスイスの「巨額の資本破壊」に至ったと同紙 は報じ、買収された企業は所謂「投資銀行」業務をしていた。買収にはのれ ん代（追加料金）を支払わされた。その間にのれんの保有が銀行の貸借対照 表の評価調整で広範囲に消滅した。今週UBSは、「投資銀行」部門で大幅な 事業の縮小を行い、今後は中核事業の資産管理業務に集中すると発表した。 大量の人員削減がロンドンとニューヨークで行われるが、スイスでも多くの 職が失われる。今回の調整は、UBSの株主に31億スイスフランの負担を強い る。同紙によると、この統計は米国ウォールストリートにあるスイスの銀行 が、真に空中に消えてしまった事を示したようだ。[WSNH: 元米国の投資銀 行リーマン・ブラザーズの事業分野の買収で、日本の野村証券も損失を蒙り 、人員削減に至った事も同紙は報じた。]（出典：2012年11月2日付バーゼル 紙オンライン版&ターゲス・アンツァイガー紙オンライン版） The newpaper reported about the shoppings (takeovers) of Swiss Big Banks in the years of the nineties in London and New York; both Cities were known as the centers of the <Anglo-Saxon Investment Bankings>. Those takeovers led finally to a <major destruction of financial assets> for the Swiss according to the newspaper report; the purchased enterprises were doing business in the field of the so-called <Investment-Banking>. For the takeovers a surcharge (Goodwill) had to be paid; in the meantime those <Goodwill-Positions> have widely disappeared from the bank balance sheets due to value adjustments. This week, the UBS announced that they are going to downsize drastically their <Investment Bank>, and they will concentrate in particular on their <Core Business>, the Wealth Management. A major job cuts is taken in London and New York, but also in Switzerland lots of jobs will be lost. The cost for the realignment, taken over by the UBS shareholders will amount to 3.1 billion Swiss Francs; according to the newspaper, the statistics showed that the <castles> of the Swiss Bank at the US-Wall Street shall have dispersed in <pure> air. Fuer die Uebernahmen wurde ein Aufpreis (Goodwill) bezahlt; inzwischen sind diese <Goodwill>-Positionen durch Wert-Berichtigungen aus den Bank-Bilanzen weitgehend verschwunden. Diese Woche verkuendete die UBS sie werde ihre <Investment Bank> massiv verkleinern und sich inskuenftig vor allem auf ihr <Kerngeschaeft> die Vermoegens- Verwaltung konzentrieren. Einen grossen Stellenabbau gibt es in London und New York, aber auch in der Schweiz gehen viele Stellen verloren. Die Kosten fuer die Neu-Ausrichtung betragen fuer die Aktionaere der UBS 3,1 Mrd. (Wed. 31.10.2012 Smi) Schweizer Post investiert in eigene Solar-Anlage. スイスポストが「ツューリッヒのミューリゲン郵便集配センター」の屋上に スイス最大の太陽光発電装置を設置する。太陽光パネルが設置されるのは広 さ8,000平方メートルで、今年の年末までに完成する予定。今後この太陽光発 電装置は年間1,300メガワット時発電する。同郵便集配センターは100万平方 メートルでスイス最大の建物。今回初めてスイスポストが自社社屋の屋根に 太陽光発電装置を設置した。更に20か所の建物に太陽光発電装置を設置する 計画がある。（出典：2012年10月31日付ターゲス・アンツァイ ガー紙） The Swiss Post is going to construct one of the biggest photovoltaic plants in Switzerland on the roof of the <Mail Distribution Center Zurich-Muelligen>; the installation of the solar panels on a surface of 8,000 square-meters shall be completed by the end of the year. In the future, the solar plant will produce 1,300 megawatt-hours electricity per year; that corresponds to an energy demand of 370 households. The Post-Distribution Center is one of the biggest buildings of Switzerland with a volume of one million square-meters. It is the first time that the Swiss Post is going to build a solar plant on one of its buildings; it is planned to construct solar plants on further 20 building of the Swiss Post. Die Schweizer Post baut auf dem Dach des <Briefzentrums Zuerich- Muelligen> eine der groessten Schweizer Photovoltaik-Anlagen; die Installation der Solarzellen auf einer Flaeche von 8'000 Quadratmetern soll bis Ende Jahr abgeschlossen sein. Zuerich Europa-Allee bekommt 80 Ginkgo-Baeume. (Mon. 17.09.2012 Smi) ツューリッヒ中央駅に最近新しく作られた市街地「オイローパ・アレー」に 80本の銀杏の木で美化される一画が創られる。既にヨハン・ヴォルフガング ・フォン・ゲー テにとって、二つに割れた銀杏の葉は友情のシンボルだった 。銀杏の木は地上で最も古い木と推定され、植物の「生きた化石」と称され ている。この造営は造園家「ロッツラー・クレプス・パートナー」が担当す る。ロッツラーは審査員に「彼の名誉にかけて」雌株を植えない事を約束さ せられた。この果実は酪酸のような耐えがたい匂いがする。同建築家は銀杏 の木に惚れ込んでおり、この木は大気汚染に強く、乾燥、暑さ、寒気に耐え て、秋には素晴らしい葉を見せてくれる。この木は手入れがしやすく、枯れ 葉は瞬く間に落葉する。銀杏の木は千年にもなる木があり、樹木の調達は、 スイスだけでは足りないので、世界中から取り寄せられる。 （出典：2012年9月17日付ターゲス・ア ンツァイガー紙） The newly established <City-Area> <<Europe-Avenue>> near the Zurich Main Railway Station will be beautified with 80 Ginkgo-trees; those trees will give the City district a characteristic design. Already for J.W. von Goethe, the split Ginko-leave was a symbol for friendship. The Ginkgo-tree is probably the oldest tree on earth and in botany, it is called a <living fossil>. The landscape architects <Rotzler Krebs Partner> are in charge of the structuring; Rotzler had to swear <by his honesty> to the jury not to plant any female trees. Those fruits are said to smell beastly like butyric acid. The architect is enthusiastic about the Ginkgo-tree; the tree is said to be immune to air pollution, can bear drought, heat and cold and in autumn it has beautiful leaves. The tree is simple for maintenance because the leaves drop down in short time. Gingko-trees (Gingo Biloba) can reach an age of 1,000 years; the order for the supply of the trees will be put out to tender internationally because there are not enough trees in Switzerland. Der neue, kuerzlich erstellte <Stadt-Teil> <<Europa-Allee>> beim Zuercher Haupt-Bahnhof wird mit 80 Ginkgo-Bauemen verschoenert; diese werden dem Stadt-Quartier Gestalt geben. Bereits fuer J.W. von Goethe war das zwei-geteilte Ginkgo-Blatt ein Symbol fuer Freundschaft. Der Ginkgo-Baum ist vermutlich der aelteste Baum auf Erden und in der Botanik wird er als <lebendes Fossil> bezeichnet. Fuer die Gestaltung sind die Landschafts-Architekten <Rotzler Krebs Partner> verantwortlich; Rotzler musste vor der Jury <bei seiner Ehre> schwoeren, keine weiblichen Baeume zu pflanzen. Die Fruechte sollen ungemein nach Buttersaeure <stinken>. Der Architekt ist begeistert vom Ginkgo-Baum; der Baum soll unempfindlich gegenueber Luft-Verschmutzung sein, Trockenheit, Hitze und Kaelte vertragen und im Herbst wunderbare Blaetter zeigen. Der Baum ist angenehm im Unterhalt, da das Laub in kurzer Zeit abfaellt. Ginkgo-Baeume (Gingo Biloba) koennen 1'000 Jahre alt werden; der Auftrag fuer die Beschaffung der Baeume wird international ausgeschrieben, da es in der Schweiz nicht genuegend gibt. Already today 22,300 full-time jobs exist in the sector of renewable energies. Based on the study alone in Berne and Zurich each more than 10,000 new jobs could be created. In particular, the fields of electronics, electrics, machinery construction as well as planning and consulting could profit from such a development. The extension of wind-energy would bring additional working places in certain Cantons; the use of wood and biogas for the energy production would create jobs too. The energy-strategy 2050 is therefore a <Win-Win> situation for the population, for the environment and for the Cantons. Gemaess aktuellen Berechnungen im Auftrag der <Schweizerischen Energie-Stiftung (SES)> koennen durch die Nutzung der Moeglichkeiten fuer erneuerbare Energien und Energie-Effizienz in der ganzen Schweiz bis zum Jahr 2035 zirka 85'000 neue Arbeitsplaetze geschaffen werden. Bereits heute existieren auf dem Gebiet der erneuerbaren Energien 22'300 Vollzeit-Stellen. Gemaess der Studie koennen nur schon in Bern und Zuerich je mehr als 10'000 neue Stellen geschaffen werden. Insbesondere koennten der Elektronik- und Elektrik Sektor, der Maschinenbau sowie Planung und Beratung davon profitieren. Der Ausbau der Wind-Energie wuerde in einzelnen Kantonen weitere Arbeitsplaetze schaffen; die Nutzung von Holz und Biogas fuer die Energie-Erzeugung bringt ebenfalls Stellen. (Sat. 03.11.2012 Smi) 今時レストランを予約する人には最早良識も教育も無いようだ。ニューヨー クに在る世界最高級レストランの一つ高山雅の日本料理店「雅」はこの為、 席の予約に新しい規則を設けた。予約は有効なクレディットカードでのみ可 能とし、予約のキャンセルは遅くとも24時間前までに連絡しなければならな い。この規則を守らない場合は、1人につき200ドルのキャンセル料が発生し 、人数が減る場合もこの規則が適用される。予約にまつわるこのような不参 客や「ドタキャン」の問題は、スイスでも起きており、議論されている。ス イスでドタキャンはレストランに１席に付1,000スイスフラン（約10万円） の損失を意味する。スイスのトップ料理長に依れば、客の不心得は増加して いて、以前は人々に未だ敬意が感じられた!! （出典：2012年11月3日付ターゲス・アンツァイガー紙） It seems that nowadays people who reserve a table at a restaurant apparently have often no decency and no education any more. One of the most expensive restaurants of the world, the Japanese <Masa> of the Japanese chef Takayama Masa with domicile in New York is therefore taking new measures regarding to table reservations. A reservation is only possible with a valid credit card and a cancellation of the reservation must be done at least 48 hours in advance. Who doesn't comply with that rules will be charged US Dollars 200 per person; the same amount is charged if later one person less comes for dinner. That problem with the so-called <<No-Shows>> and short-term cancellations of a reservation is also a theme in Switzerland and it is under discussion. If a short-term cancellation of a table happens in Switzerland, then that can result in a <loss> of CHF 1,000 (ca. Yen 100,000) per table for the restaurant. According to a Swiss Top level chef is the ruthlessness of the people on the increase; in the past people had still respect!! Eines der teuersten Restaurants der Welt, das japanische <Masa> des Japaners Takayama Masa mit Sitz in New York ergreift deshalb neue Massnahmen bei einer Tisch-Reservation.
