It is endowed with prize money of 50,000 Euros. The workers in Fukushima showed with their dedication an exemplary attitude in their fight against the catastrophe at the Japanese nuclear power plant after the Tsunami. They were now honored in the category <unity and international understanding>; according to the Jury, the workers prevented with their commitment that the human tragedy and the environment catastrophe started to obtain an even worse dimension. Die <Helden von Fukushima>, unter anderem die so-genannten <Fukushima 50> Freiwilligen wurden mit dem spanischen <Prinz-von-Asturien-Preis> ausgezeichnet; diese Auszeichnung wird als der <spanische Nobelpreis> bezeichnet und er wird jaehrlich in acht Kategorien vergeben, wobei er mit 50 000 Euro dotiert ist. Wettbewerbsfaehigkeit: Schweiz Nr. 1 der Welt. In the meantime, the former top nation USA has fallen back on the worldwide ranking list to rank number 5. In the year 2009, the USA was ranked as number one and since then, it was pushed aside from the top by Switzerland. Singapore has advanced to rank number two in 2011 and has pushed aside Sweden from that position. Among the first ten nations (Top Ten) are ranked as number 4 Finland, No. 5 USA, No. 6 Germany, Nr. 7 the Netherlands, No. 8 Denmark, No. 9 Japan and No. 10 Great Britain. Switzerland has reached in all categories, which were appraised by the report, good results. Among others, the innovation capability, the technological capacity and the labor market efficiency were evaluated. According to the judgment of the <WEF>, the Swiss research institutions are among the bests of the world. Das angesehene <World Economic Forum (WEF)> mit Sitz in Genf publizierte diese Woche den <Global Competitiveness Report 2011/2012>; darin belegte die Schweiz bereits das dritte Mal in Folge den ersten Platz weltweit. Die fruehere Spitzen-Nation USA ist auf der weltweiten Rangliste inzwischen auf den Rang Nr. 5 zurueckgefallen. Im Jahr 2009 lag die USA noch auf dem ersten Platz und wurde seither von der Schweiz von der Spitze verdraengt. Singapur ist 2011 auf Platz Nr. 2 vorgestossen und hat Schweden von dieser Position vertrieben. Oekologische Mobilitaet Schweizer Ferienorte. (Tue. 06.09.2011 Smi) VCS（スイス交通クラブ）が初めて、スイスの冬の観光地の公共交通につい て調査をした。調査は、交通の便、移動手段、通信（情報）等が評価された 。VCSの狙いは、スイス人が将来休暇には今よりも公共交通機関を利用する ようにすること。現在観光地までの70％の距離%で、自家用車が使われてい る。VCSの調査では、交通の便は汽車とバスで、観光情報に公共交通機関の 範囲と利便性が表示されている。この調査で最も高い評価を受けた冬の観 光地は、ツェルマットとサースフェー。共に「歩行者天国」にしているが、 この事は評価対象になっていない。幾つかの観光地は地元のバスの接続が 無い事で低い評価を受けた。VCSはこの調査によって「持続可能な移動」を 推進しようとしている。 （出典：2011年9月6日付ターゲス・アンツァイガー紙） The <Traffic Club of Switzerland (VCS)> has conducted for the first time a study regarding to the (traffic) infrastructure of Swiss winter resorts with regard to the public transport system. In that the criteria <accessibility>, <range of mobility> and <communication> (information) was appraised. The VCS aim is that the Swiss use more often the public transport system in their leisure in the future; presently, 70% of the distance to holiday destinations is covered by private vehicles. With their study, the VCS shows the accessibility by train and bus, the range of the public transport system and the significance of the public transport system in tourism information. At the top of that study are ranked the winter holiday resorts of Zermatt and Saas Fee, which both are <car-free>; however that wasn't considered for the evaluation. In some destinations, the missing connection by a <circle bus> (local city bus) was considered to be a negative point. The study of the VCS intends to promote the <sustainable mobility>. Der Verkehrsclub der Schweiz (VCS) hat erstmals eine Untersuchung ueber die Erschliessung von Schweizer Winterferien-Orte mit dem oeffentlichen Verkehr (OeV) durchgefuehrt; dabei wurden die Kriterien <Erreichbarkeit>, <Mobilitaets-Angebot> und <Kommunikation> (Information) bewertet. Der VCS moechte, dass die Schweizer inskuenftig in ihrer Freizeit mehr den oeffentlichen Verkehr benuetzen wuerden; derzeit werden 70% der Strecken zu Ferienorten mit dem Privatauto zurueckgelegt. Mit ihrer Studie zeigt der VCS die Erreichbarkeit mit Zug und Bus, das Angebot an oeffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln und den Stellenwert des oeffentlichen Verkehrs bei der Tourismus-Information. An der Spitze dieser Studie liegen die Winterferien-Orte Zermatt und Saas-Fee, welche beide <Autofrei> sind, wobei dies fuer die Bewertung keine Bedeutung hatte. The reasons for that are among others lower prices for products and weather-concerned loss of earnings. The income of the farmers declined already in the year 2009. Das edle Holz vom Schweizer Wald. (Mon. 05.09. 2011 Smi) 南スイスのテッシーンに在る山間部の渓谷には、都市生活から脱落して南部 の温暖な気候の土地で生活する多くのドイツ語圏スイス人が暮らしている。 人里離れた谷々には数多くのルスティコ（簡素な家）と呼ばれる、極質素で 典型的なテッシーン風石の家がある。その殆どが大規模な修復が必要な状態 ではあるが、購入価格が安価。自分のルスティコ修復後、1人のドイツ語圏ス イス人が友人と共に30年前小さな製材所をルッソで設立した。その後この小 さな企業は年商2百スイスフランにまで成長した。「ティチノーロ社」の持ち 主は「栗の銘木」の価値を早くから知っていて、今では年間800立方メートル 迄製材している。この銘木は外装、テラス、更には寄木張りの床に使われる。 同社はスイス産木材で床材を生産しているスイスで唯一の企業。この栗の銘 木を使った床材の設置費用は1平米約300スイスフラン（約3万円）。 （出典：2011年9月5日付ターゲス・アンツァイガー紙） In the Ticino Mountain valleys in Southern Switzerland, numerous Swiss Germans live there; that are people whom dropped out from their <ordinary civil life> and now, they earn their living as so-called <dropouts> in the mild climate of the South. In the remote, nearly uninhabited valleys there are lots of so-called <Rustico>, very modest and typical Ticino stone houses, which often are in great need for renovation, however they can be purchased cheaply. As a consequence of the renovation of its own <Rustico>, a Swiss German has founded with friends a small sawmill 30 years ago; later, a small enterprise grew out of it, generating now a turnover of nearly two Mio. Swiss Francs. The owners of the company <Ticinoro> have recognized early the value of the timber of the noble <European chestnut> and now, up to 800 cubic meters of that wood is worked every year. Out of the noble wood, wooden planks for cladding and terrace are created, however particularly flooring (parquet) for the floor is produced. That is the only Swiss company which produces parquet made of Swiss timber. Parquet made of the wood of the noble <European chestnut> has however its price; a square meter of chestnut parquet fitted costs about SFr. 300 (ca. 30,000 Yen). In den Tessiner Bergtaelern in der Sued-Schweiz leben zahlreiche Deutsch-Schweizer, welche aus dem <buergerlichen Leben> ausgestiegen sind und sich jetzt ihren Lebensunterhalt als so-genannte <Aussteiger> (dropout) im milden Klima des Suedens verdienen. In den abgelegenen, fast unbewohnten Taelern gibt es viele so-genannte <Rustico>, sehr einfache und typische Tessiner-Steinhaeuser, welche oft grossen Renovations-Bedarf haben, jedoch guenstig zu kaufen sind. Als Folge der Renovation des eigenen <Rustico> gruendete vor 30 Jahren ein Deutschschweizer mit Freunden eine kleine Saegerei in Russo; spaeter ist daraus ein kleines Unternehmen mit einem Umsatz von fast zwei Mio. Schweizer Franken entstanden. Die Besitzer der Firma <Ticinoro> haben den Wert des Holzes der <Edelkastanie> frueh erkannt und jetzt werden pro Jahr bis zu 800 Kubikmeter dieses Holzes verarbeitet. Aus dem <Edelholz> entstehen Bretter fuer Fassaden und Terrassen, jedoch insbesondere Parkett (flooring) fuer Boeden. Es ist die einzige Firma in der Schweiz, welche Parkett aus Schweizer Holz herstellt. Parkett aus dem Holz der <Edelkastanie> hat jedoch seinen Preis; ein Quadratmeter Kastanien-Parkett verlegt kostet zirka SFr. 300 (ca. 30 000 Yen). In the future, the <TGV-trains> will reach the end station <Paris-Lyon> via a newly built railway line via <Dijon> (F) and therefore the travel time will be shortened by 30 minutes. From Basle, the travel time will be only three hours. In presence of President Sarkozy and Federal Councilor Doris Leuthard, the new railway line was officially inaugurated; the newly built line has a length of 140 kilometers and the construction period was five years. The cost amounted to 2.3 billion Euros; of which Switzerland paid 66 Mio. Euros and the Swiss Railway Company SBB paid 100 Mio. Swiss Francs. Bei der Reise mit der Eisenbahn (TGV) von Zuerich/Basel nach Paris gibt es ab dem 11. Dezember 2011 (Fahrplan-Wechsel) Aenderungen; die Zuege verkehrten bisher via <Strasbourg> (F) und trafen im End-Bahnhof <Paris-Est> (Ost) ein. In Zukunft erreichen die <TGV-Zuege> den End- Bahnhof <Paris-Lyon> ueber eine neu gebaute Bahnstrecke via <Dijon>(F) und dadurch verkuerzt sich die Reisezeit um 30 Minuten. Ab Basel betraegt die Reisezeit deshalb nur noch drei Stunden. In Anwesenheit von Praesident Sarkozy und Bundesrat Doris Leuthard wurde die neue Eisenbahn-Strecke offiziell eingeweiht; die Neubau-Strecke hat eine Laenge von 140 Kilometern und die Bauzeit betrug fuenf Jahre. Die Kosten betrugen 2,3 Mrd. Euro; davon bezahlte die Schweiz 66 Mio. Euro und die Schweizer Eisenbahngesellschaft SBB bezahlte 100 Mio. Schweizer Franken. Schweizer National Bank kaempft gegen die Spekulanten. 大規模な投機筋によるスイスフラン上昇に対抗してこれまでスイス中央銀行 が講じた対策は、僅かながら当面の効果が見られた。過去数日スイスフラン は、特に対ユーロで再び上昇した。スイス中銀は国益とスイス経済（産業） の為、対ユーロの交換レートの目標値を1.20にする決定を余儀なくされ、こ の最低交換レートであらゆる事態に備える事になった。必要に応じてスイス 中銀は為替市場で介入を行い、この目標値を防衛する為制限を設けずに外貨 （ユーロ）を購入する用意をした。ブルンバーグに依ると、スイスフランは 過去12カ月で主要九つの通貨に対して16％以上値上がりした。日本の通貨 （円）もスイスフランと同様の環境にあり、理由は対米ドルで日本円の評価 が強含んでいる為。専門家によると、日本が対米ドルの交換レート限度を設 定すると、米国政府と対立が生じるか、あるいは米国との政治問題になり得 る！（出典：2011年9月7日/8日付ターゲス・アンツァイガー紙） The measures so far taken by the Swiss National Bank (SNB) against the massive (speculative) appreciation of the Swiss Franc showed (only) temporary effect; in the past days, the Swiss Franc has appreciated again considerably, particularly against the Euro. The Swiss National Bank (SNB) was therefore forced, to fix an exchange rate target (lower limit) of Swiss Franc 1.20 against one Euro; such a measure became necessary in the interest of the country and the Swiss economy (industry). The SNB is going to enforce that minimum rate with all consequences. If needed, the SNB is going to conduct interventions at the foreign exchange market and the SNB is ready to purchase foreign currencies absolutely in order to defend that limit. According to <Bloomberg>, the Swiss Franc (CHF) has appreciated by more than 16% with regard to nine major currencies over the past 12 months. The Japanese currency (JPY) stands in a similar position like the Swiss Franc because of its strong appreciation against the US-Dollar. According to experts, the fixing of a foreign exchange rate limit against the US-Dollar by Japan could lead to a <confrontation> with the US-Government or to political implications with the USA! Die bisherigen Massnahmen der Schweizerischen Nationalbank gegen die massive (spekulative) Aufwertung des Schweizer Frankens zeigten (nur) voruebergehend Wirkung; in den letzten Tagen wertete sich der Schweizer Franken, insbesondere gegenueber dem Euro wieder erheblich auf. Die Schweizerische Nationalbank (SNB) wurde daher gezwungen, im Interesse des Landes und der Schweizer Wirtschaft (Industrie) ein Wechselkurs-Ziel (untere Limite) von CHF 1.20 gegenueber einem Euro festzulegen; die SNB wird diesen Mindestkurs mit aller Konsequenz durchsetzen. Bei Bedarf wird die SNB am Devisenmarkt Interventionen vornehmen und die SNB ist bereit unbeschraenkt Devisen zu kaufen, um diese Limite zu verteidigen. Gemaess <Bloomberg> hat sich der Schweizer Franken (CHF) in den letzten 12 Monaten gegenueber 9 wichtigen Waehrungen um ueber 16% aufgewertet. Die japanische Waehrung (JPY) befindet sich in einer aehnlichen Lage wie der Schweizer Franken aufgrund ihrer starken Aufwertung gegenueber dem US-Dollar. Gemaess Experten koennte das Setzen einer Wechselkurs- Limite zum US-Dollar durch Japan zu einer <Konfrontation> mit der US-Regierung oder zu politischen <Verwicklungen> mit den USA fuehren! US-Japanischer Architekt rettete Menschenleben. (Tue. 06.09.2011 Smi) ヤマサキ・ミノルは米国に移住した日系移民の息子で、建築家としてニュー ヨークの世界貿易センターを設計した。彼は生涯を通じて高所恐怖症に悩ま されていたが、それでも110階建て高層ビルの建築依頼を受けた。非常に細 い窓と堅牢な外壁の構造分析等の特別な設計技術によって、おそらく塔が長 い間立ち続ける事が出来、結果数100人の人々が建物の倒壊前に脱出する事 が出来たようだ。（出典：2011年9月6日付ターゲス・アンツァイガー紙） Yamasaki Minoru, the son of Japanese immigrants to the USA built as architect the <World Trade Center> in New York. As human, he suffered from acrophobia during his whole life; despite that, he received the order to build the 110 floors high building (towers). His special construction techniques, among others very narrow windows and the structural analysis of the front were probably responsible for the fact that the towers kept standing longer and therefore many hundreds of people were able to leave the building before its collapse. Seine spezielle Bauweise, unter anderem sehr schmale Fenster und die Statik der Fassaden, fuehrten moeglicherweise dazu, dass die Tuerme laenger stehen blieben und dadurch viele Hunderte von Menschen das Gebaeude vor dem Einsturz verlassen konnten.
