They rescued in April 2010 on an altitude of 7,000 meters at the <Annapurna> mountain in the Himalaya, three Spanish alpinists who had died without the Swiss rescuers. It was the first time ever that such an extremely difficult rescue operation under such weather- and wind conditions with a helicopter was completed successfully. The rescue enterprise <Air Zermatt>, where the two Swiss work, has a 40-years experience in that field and conducts the staff training for the company <Fishtail Air> in Nepal. The award is also called the <Noble Prize of Aviation>; last year the pilot Chesley Sullenberger was awarded with it for his emergency landing on the Hudson River. He is originated from Switzerland too. Sie retteten im April 2010 auf einer Hoehe von 7000 Metern im <Annapurna> Gebirge im Himalaya drei spanische Bergsteiger, welche sonst gestorben waeren. Es war das erste Mal ueberhaupt, das eine so extrem schwierige Rettung unter solchen Wetter- und Windverhaeltnissen mit einem Helikopter erfolgreich war. Das Rettungsunternehmen <Air Zermatt>, wo die beiden arbeiten verfuegt ueber eine 40-jaehrige Erfahrung und fuehrt die Personal-Ausbildung fuer die Firma <Fishtail Air> in Nepal durch. Die Auszeichnung wird ebenfalls als <Nobelpreis der Luftfahrt> bezeichnet; letztes Jahr wurde der Pilot Chesley Sullenberger fuer seine Notlandung auf dem Hudson River damit ausgezeichnet. SFr. (+18.8%), the group profit amounted to 1,080 Mio. SFr. (+41.5%) and the number of staff was at 25,197 people (+6.9%). There is presently a very strong demand for the products of the <Swatch Group> that is why the enterprise is going to create more than 1,000 new working places in 2011. In a radio interview, the CEO of the <Swatch Group>, Nick Hayek said that for him <Swiss Made> has highest priority, that is why the production sites in Switzerland will be expanded. Presently, there are some backlogs regarding to the supply; even in time of crisis (2008), the enterprise has not reduced their staff!! According to Hayek it is important that also the competitors invest more into technology. The <matter> was revealed by the opposition party which accused him to have accepted a total of Yen 200,000 during four years. The money was given by an acquaintance, a female Korean woman living in Kyoto; the acceptance of party donations from foreigners is forbidden in Japan. The Japanese law exercises in such a case different kind of penalties. According to Internet information (bluewin.ch of 2011/03/11), the Japanese Minister President Kan Naoto has admitted too that <his donation collectors> had accepted money from a foreigner. In a Committee of the Japanese Parliament, he said regarding to that matter that he had thought that the donor was Japanese. Now, new requests for his resignation have occurred; according to a quote of the <Agency Kyodo>, he shall have said that he is not going to resign. Das Geld nahm er von einer Bekannten, einer in Kyoto wohnhaften Koreanerin entgegen; die Entgegennahme von Parteispenden von Auslaendern ist in Japan verboten. Das japanische Gesetz kennt dafuer verschiedene Strafen. Gemaess Internet- Informationen (bluewin.ch vom 11.03.2011) musste jetzt der japanische Ministerpraesident Kan Naoto ebenfalls eingestehen, dass <seine Spendensammler> Geld von einem Auslaender angenommen haetten. Vor einem Komitee des Parlamentes sagte er dazu, er habe angenommen, der Spender sei Japaner. Jetzt gibt es neue Ruecktritts-Forderungen gegen ihn; laut Zitat der <Agentur Kyodo> werde er deshalb nicht zuruecktreten. The study which was established together with the consulting company <Booz&Company> has analyzed 139 countries. The tourism industry was among others appraised regarding to the following criteria: infrastructure, natural resources, safety, ecological sustainability, staff training etc. The ranking list of the best ten (TopTen) was as follows: No. 1 Switzerland, No. 2 Germany, Nr. 3 France, No. 4 Austria, Nr. 5 Sweden, No. 6 USA, No. 7 United Kingdom (UK), N. 8 Spain, No. 9 Canada and No. 10 Singapore. Japan advanced to rank No. 22 and China is newly ranked as number 39. Gemaess dem neuesten <Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Report 2011>, einer Studie des <World Economic Forum (WEF)> liegt die Schweiz im Bereich des Tourismus weltweit weiterhin auf dem ersten Platz; der letzte Bericht datiert von 2009. Die Studie wurde zusammen mit der Beratungsfirma <Booz&Company> erstellt und analysierte 139 Laender. The parliament extended the so-called <impulse-program> up to January 2015 and allowed another credit amounting to 120 Mio. SFr. About 50% of the new places were created in so-called <day nursery centers> and the rest was created in the form of school-complementary care facilities. Within the scope of the program, 1,723 requests were considered; among them 100 projects were regarding to care in day nanny families. The utilization ratio at the different organizations in the field of child care is different; there are however still vacancies. Overall the State supported the program for the <family- complimentary> care so far with a total of 187,9 Mio. SFr. Dank staatlicher Finanzhilfe des Bundes wurden in der Schweiz in den letzten acht Jahren mehr als 30 000 neue Krippenplaetze geschaffen. Das Parlament verlaengerte das so-genannte <Impuls-Programm> bis Januar 2015 und bewilligte einen weiteren Kredit von 120 Mio. SFr. Rund 50% der neuen Plaetze gab es in <Kindertages-Staetten> und der Rest wurde in Form von schul-ergaenzenden Betreuungs-Moeglichkeiten geschaffen. Im Rahmen des Programms wurden 1 723 Gesuche bewilligt, wobei unter anderem 100 Projekte die Betreuung in Tagesfamilien betrafen. Die Auslastung der verschiedenen Institutionen im Bereich der Kinderbetreuung ist unterschiedlich; es gibt noch freie Plaetze. Insgesamt unterstuetzte der Staat das Programm fuer die <familien- ergaenzende> Betreuung bisher mit total 187,9 Mio. SFr. Presently, the number of staff in Zurich has increased already to 700 people; now, on the same premises additionally a new building was rented offering space for further 300 employees. The Swiss location plays for <Google> in the field of research and product innovation a leading role; in Zurich different kind of software applications, such as <Google Maps> was developed. The <Google> employees in Zurich are originated from more than 60 countries; that makes the locations unique. Zuerich ist ausserhalb der USA der groesste Entwicklungs-Standort des <Suchmaschinen> Unternehmens <Google>; das US-Unternehmen eroeffnete im Jahr 2004 eine Niederlassung mit nur zwei Personen. Derzeit arbeiten bereits 700 Mitarbeiter in Zuerich; auf dem gleichen Firmengelaende wurde jetzt zusaetzlich ein neues Gebaeude gemietet, welches Platz fuer weitere 300 Mitarbeiter bietet. In comparison to the year 2005 in which still 409 traffic road victims had to be mourned. The continuing decline is due to technological progress regarding to vehicles as well as preventative and repressive measures by the traffic police. Less pleasing are the figures regarding to pedestrians; in the year 2010, 76 pedestrians died in road traffic. That is an increase of 27%; in 2009 the number of dead persons reached only 60 people. The accidents with pedestrians occurred mostly outside of crosswalks; the safety of pedestrians shall be improved. Weniger erfreulich sind die Zahlen betreffend Fussgaenger; im Jahr 2010 starben 76 Fussgaenger im Strassenverkehr. Dies ist eine Zunahme von 27%; im 2009 betrug die Zahl nur 60 Personen. Die Unfaelle mit Fussgaengern passierten meistens ausserhalb von Fussgaenger-Streifen; die Sicherheit der Fussgaenger soll verbessert werden. (Quelle: Touring-Club Zeitung vom 03.03.2011) http://www.bfu.ch/English/statistik/Pages/Statistik.aspx 8) 新源泉徴収税、非課税限度は200スイスフラン迄 New withholding tax exemption limit up to CHF 200 Neue Verrechnungssteuer-Freigrenze bis CHF 200 (Tue. 08.02.2011 Smi) これまで長年利子所得に対する源泉徴収税は、50スイスフラン以上超えると 35%課税されていた。この控除は国内の預金口座や類似口座の利息に適用され ていた。納税申告書の規定では、この35%の控除は連邦政府から再返還される 。2010 年1月1日から非課税限度額が200スイスフランに引き上げられた。連 邦政府の税務当局は「業務簡素化」の為に変更したと説明。新しい規則は 2010年度の納税申告分から有効で、納税申告用紙は数週間前から既に発送さ れている。この機会を利用して国民が税務当局に対して資産を隠すような事 態は、利益が費用（労力）に見合わない事から想定されていない。 （出典：2011年2月8日付 ターゲス・アンツァイガー紙） So far for years, there was a withholding tax deduction of 35% on interest incomes exceeding the amount of Swiss Francs 50; that deduction was applied among others on domestic interests on savings accounts and similar accounts. Upon a duly declaration in the tax form, that deduction of 35% was refunded again by the state. Since January 1, 2010, the tax exemption limit was increased to SFr. 200; the federal tax authorities explained the change with <administrative simplifications>. The alteration will be valid for the first time in the tax period of 2010; the tax forms were posted in the past few weeks. It is not expected that citizens will utilize the possibility in order to hide fortune with regard to the tax office; the cost and income is not profitable. Bisher galt jahrelang ein Verrechnungssteuer-Abzug von 35% auf Zinsertraegen, welche den Betrag von Schweizer Franken 50 ueberstiegen; dieser Abzug kam unter anderem zur Anwendung bei Zinsen auf inlaendischen Sparkonti und aehnlichen Konten. Bei einer ordnungsgemaessen Deklaration in der Steuererklaerung wurde dieser Abzug von 35% vom Staat wieder zurueckerstattet. Seit dem 1. Januar 2010 wurde die Freigrenze auf SFr. 200 erhoeht; die eidgenoessische Steuerverwaltung begruendet die Aenderung mit <administrativen Erleichterungen>. Die Neuerung wird erstmals fuer die Steuerperiode 2010 wirksam; die Steuerformulare wurden in den letzten Wochen versandt. Es wird nicht damit gerechnet, dass der Buerger diese Moeglichkeit ausnuetzt um Vermoegen gegenueber dem Steueramt <zu verstecken>; der Aufwand und Ertrag dafuer lohnt sich nicht. At the museum, there is a permanent exhibition of the famous artist Katsushika Hokusai showing many of his famous pieces of art (ukiyoe). The museum was sponsored by the Japanese doctor Uragami Toshiro. The museum has a collection of about 5,000 ukiyoe prints as well as ceramics and porcelains. At the museum shop, one can buy beautiful items regarding to art.
