Zug アイスランドの製薬会社「アクタヴィス」が2011年から本社をアイスランド からツーク州のシュタインハウゼンに移転する。これにより、スイスに新た に150人の雇用が創出されることになる。従業員の半分はスイスで新たに募集 される。現在ツークの「アクタヴィス」ではすで20人が働いている。世界第4 位の規模の「後発医薬品」企業の今までの拠点は一部アイスランド、ロンド ン、コペンハーゲンにあった。同社は世界中に1万500人の従業員がおり、18 億ユーロの売り上げがある。製薬業界にとってツーク州の最適な環境が、ス イスへの移転の理由の一つ。アムステルダムやコペンハーゲンも本社移転の 候補地として検討された。（2010年11月16日付け新ツーク新聞より） The Icelandic pharmaceutical enterprise <Actavis> is going to relocate its headquarters from 2011 from Iceland to the Canton of Zug (Steinhausen); with the relocation to Switzerland about 150 new working places will be created. Around half of the employees will be newly recruited in Switzerland; presently <Actavis> works already with 20 employees on site. The present Group headquarters of the worldwide fourth biggest <Generics> enterprise is located partly in Iceland, London and Copenhagen. The Group has worldwide 10,500 employees and the turnover amounts to about 1,8 billion Euros. The extraordinary environment in the field of pharmaceutics in the Canton of Zug was among other things the reason for the settlement in Switzerland; under investigation were also the alternative locations of the Cities of Amsterdam and Copenhagen. The female dog's name is <Momo-chan> (peach) and she was one of the 70 candidates for the dog examination of the police. Together with 32 other dogs, she succeeded to find a human in only five minutes; before she could just snuffle shortly on the human's cap. <Momo-chan> is now the smallest, officially certified and approved sniffer dog of the Japanese police. Basically, sniffer dogs can be originated from any kind of dog breed; mostly, they are however originated from bigger sized dogs such as the German shepherd dog. Der nur gerade drei Kilogramm schwere, weibliche <Chihuahua> Hund bestand die Pruefung in der Praefektur Nara fuer die Aufnahme als japanischer Polizei Spuerhund. Die Huendin heisst <Momo-Chan> (Pfirsich) und war eine von 70 Kandidaten fuer die Hundepruefung der Polizei. Zusammen mit 32 anderen Hunden gelang es ihr innert fuenf Minuten einen Menschen aufzufinden, nach dem sie vorher nur kurz an seiner Muetze schnuppern konnte. <Momo-chan> ist jetzt der kleinste, offiziell gepruefte Spuerhund der japanischen Polizei. Grundsaetzlich sind Spuerhunde aus allen Rassen moeglich; meistens sind es jedoch groessere Hunde, wie beispielsweise ein Schaeferhund. (Quelle: Tages-Anzeiger vom 20.11.2010) 3) ダヴォス：新コングレスセンター完成 Davos: New Congress Center completed Davos: Neues Kongress-Zentrum fertig gestellt (Fri. 12.11.2010 Smi) グラウビュンデン州のダヴォス市で、20ヶ月の工事期間を経てコングレスセ ンターの拡張工事が終了した。総工費は3,780万スイスフラン。コングレスセ ンターは、ダヴォス市の所有で、ここで毎年有名な「世界経済フォーラム」 （WEF）が開かれる。拡張されたコングレスセンターは、5,000人の会議訪問 者を収容できるスペースがあり、34の会議室がある。総床面積は1万2千平方 メートルで、拡張した部分は流動的な使用が可能だ。今後は、世界経済フォ ーラムの参加者すべてに充分な席が設けられるようになった。WEFの開催契 約は2018年まで延長された。 （2010年11月12日付けターゲス・アンツァイガー紙より） At the resort town of Davos, in the Buendner Alps, the extension of the congress center complex was completed after a construction period of 20 months and costs of 37.8 Mio. Swiss Francs. The building complex is owned by the commune of Davos and there, the famous annual <World Economic Forum> (WEF) takes place. The congress center complex has now space for 5,000 congress visitors and there are a total of 34 halls available. The overall surface amounts to 12,000 square-meters now and the extended building complex can be used flexibly. In the future, there is again enough space for all participants of the <WEF>; the contract for the organization of the <WEF> has been extended up to the year 2018. In der Stadt Davos, in den Buendner Alpen wurde der Ausbau des Kongress-Zentrums nach einer Bauzeit von 20 Monaten und Kosten von 37,8 Mio. Schweizer Franken fertig gestellt. Das Gebaeude ist im Besitz der Gemeinde Davos und jaehrlich findet dort das weltberuehmte <World Economic Forum> (WEF) statt. Das Kongress-Zentrum hat jetzt Platz fuer 5 000 Kongress-Besucher und es stehen insgesamt 34 Saele zur Verfuegung. Die gesamte Flaeche betraegt jetzt 12 000 Quadratmeter und das erweiterte Gebaeude kann flexibel genutzt werden. In Zukunft gibt es wieder genug Platz fuer alle Teilnehmer des <WEF>; der Vertrag fuer die Durchfuehrung des <WEF> wurde bis in das Jahr 2018 verlaengert. The web-based version shows mountains and valleys in a three-dimensional form (3-D). Publisher of the <Swiss World Atlas> is the Swiss Conference of Cantonal education directors (EDK). Locations in Switzerland are particularly affected by the measures; overall a total of 770 jobs will be lost. The implementation of the measures is planed for 2011 and 2012; despite the bad news, from the Swiss side there is also some pleasant information to hear. The business field of <Blood-gas- diagnostics> will be transferred from Graz (Austria) to Rotkreuz (Zug). Thanks to that concentration at the <Center of Laboratory Diagnostics>, an additional 130 jobs will be created in Rotkreuz. The Group has to save costs because the turnover decreased in certain regions by up to 10% due to the pressure on prices. Thanks to the cost savings program, 2.4 billion Swiss Francs shall be saved per year as from 2012. Die Umsetzung des <Operational Excellence Program> beim Pharma-Konzern Roche fuehrt weltweit zum Abbau von 4 800 Stellen und einer Verschiebung von 1 500 Stellen. Standorte in der Schweiz sind von den Massnahmen stark betroffen; insgesamt gehen dabei 770 Stellen verloren. Die Umsetzung der Massnahmen ist fuer 2011 und 2012 geplant; trotz der schlechten Nachrichten ist aus Schweizer Sicht erfreulich, dass der Geschaeftsbereich <Blutgas-Diagnostik> von Graz (Oesterreich) nach Rotkreuz (Zug) verlegt wird. Durch diese Konzentration am <Zentrum der Labor-Diagnostik> entstehen in Rotkreuz zusaetzlich 130 Stellen. Der Konzern muss Kosten sparen, da der Umsatz in gewissen Regionen um bis zu 10% zurueck ging aufgrund des Drucks auf die Preise. Dank dem Sparprogramm sollen ab 2012 pro Jahr 2,4 Mrd. Schweizer Franken gespart werden koennen. The awarding is based on a worldwide survey by the British media enterprise <World Travel> among 185,000 tourism experts. Evaluated were different quality criteria and others features. Number one worldwide is according to <QS>, the English University of Cambridge (UK) and ranked as number two is the US-Harvard University. The experts found for the Swiss economy only good words; it stands out that in particular the USA (America) has fallen back in the ranking list and is now only ranked as number 4. The infrastructure of Switzerland is called to be <excellent> too and the Swiss authorities are said to be the most <efficient> and most <transparent> worldwide. The new complex makes it now possible that all 313 employees can work under the same roof. The construction costs amounted to 28 Mio. SFr. and were paid by the <WEF> out of their own capital resources. On that occasion, the <WEF> celebrated its 40th anniversary of its foundation in the year 1971. The present representatives from 193 states agreed to a compromise regarding to the <Protection of the diversity of species>. The UN-convention on the <Protection of biodiversity> can now approach among others 20 selected goals up to 2020 based in a strategy plan. Therein are for instance rules about the nature conservation surface per country and the promotion of a sustainable agriculture or the reforestation of forests. Besides, the so-called <ABS-Protocol> (Access and benefit sharing) protocol was signed; it controls the access to genetic resources in species-rich countries. Die UNO-Artenschutz-Konferenz in Nagoya (Japan) erreichte, dank einem wichtigen Vorschlag der japanischen Regierung, im letzten Moment den Durchbruch. Die anwesenden Vertreter aus 193 Staaten stimmten einem Kompromiss zum Schutz der Artenvielfalt zu. Die UNO-Konvention zum <Schutz der Biodiversitaet> kann jetzt in einem Strategieplan bis 2020 unter anderem 20 definierte Ziele angehen; darin sind beispielsweise die Naturschutzflaechen pro Land und die Foerderung einer nachhaltigen Landwirtschaft oder das Aufforsten von Waelder geregelt. Im Weiteren wurde das so-genannte <ABS-Protokoll> (Access and benefit sharing) Protokoll unterzeichnet; darin wird der Zugang zu den genetischen Rohstoffen in artenreichen Laendern geregelt. Upon check in at Haneda airport, we saw a number of those tourists bringing up to four Japanese rice cookers in boxes with them. Recently, on Japanese news program, the same Asian tourists were often interviewed; they asked the Japanese shop assistant <Made in Japan>?, if they said yes, then they bought up to ten items of the same product. This year, on the departure floor (duty free area), we noticed for the first time, that especially electronic shopping items were clearly marked at the shop with a big sign <Made in Japan>. In my opinion, it is high time; the Japanese themselves realize the value and the quality of their own products before all the manufacturing of originally Japanese products is outsourced to foreign countries. That was just a <by the way impression> during this year's travel, I initially forgotten to mention. On the way to <Hagi-Shi>, we stopped at a countryside <michi no eki> called <Mito>, where we enjoyed a delicious <Tororo-Soba arranged with Katsuo- bushi>; in addition, we were lucky to find fresh locally cultivated figs (Ichijiku).
