The new international air connections shall bring the Japanese economy additional growth. The cost for the new airport building amounted to 1.3 billion US Dollars and at the same a new, fourth runway was constructed. In contrast to the airport of Tokyo-Narita, the <Haneda> airport can be reached in 15 minutes from the City center of Tokyo. In <Haneda> there shall be a <24-hours operation service>, whereas up to March 2011, air connections with 17 destinations in Asia, North America and Europe will be available. So far at <Haneda> mainly national air connections were offered; the new advantages of <Haneda> shall be used in competition with the neighboring Asian airports; in particular in the field of tourism and in the air cargo business. The landing rights at <Haneda> are so far not (yet) interesting for European airlines; advantages regarding to landings rights and flight times shall have Japanese and US-airlines. Am 21. Oktober 2010 eroeffnete am Flughafen Tokyo-Haneda der neue <internationale Passagier Terminal>; die Eroeffnungsfeier fand in Anwesenheit von Mitgliedern der japanischen Regierung statt. Die neuen internationalen Flugverbindungen sollen der japanischen Wirtschaft zusaetzliches Wachstum bringen. Die Kosten fuer das neue Flughafengebaeude betrugen 1,3 Mrd. US-Dollar und gleichzeitig wurde eine neue, vierte Landebahn gebaut. Im Gegensatz zum Flughafen Tokyo- Narita, ist der <Haneda-Flughafen> in 15 Minuten vom Stadtzentrum von Tokyo aus erreichbar. In <Haneda> soll es einen 24-Stunden-Betrieb geben, wobei es bis Maerz 2011 Flugverbindungen mit 17 Orten in Asien, Nordamerika und Europa geben wird. Bisher wurden ab <Haneda> hauptsaechlich nationale Flugverbindungen angeboten; die neuen Vorteile von <Haneda> sollen gegenueber den asiatischen Nachbar- Flughaefen genutzt werden, insbesondere im Tourismus und im Luftfrachtgeschaeft. Die Landerechte in <Haneda> sind fuer europaeische Fluggesellschaften bisher (noch) nicht interessant; Vorteile in Bezug auf Landerechte und Flugzeiten sollen japanische und US-Fluggesellschaften haben. According to information by the <Gottlieb- Duttweiler-Institute>, he will be honored for his effort regarding to the <democratization of the access to knowledge>. <Wikipedia> is based on the worldwide Internet and disposes of great authenticity and acceptance due to its independency and neutrality. For that reason, it is going to construct a new administration building with schooling and training center in the City of Rorschach. The building shall be completed by 2013 and in the coming 15 years a total of 250 to 500 working places shall be created. Already now, the enterprise employs about 140 people on different location in the Swiss state of Ticino. In two years, it will be a total of approximately 250 employees working at the new European headquarters. It is the first time that the award goes to a Swiss author. She receives the prize for her novel <Tauben fliegen auf> (pigeons fly up), which has been influenced autobiographically. The prize is endowed with 25,000 Euros. Der angesehene Literaturpreis mit dem Namen <Deutscher Buchpreis 2010> ging ueberraschend an eine Schweizer Schriftstellerin; es handelt sich um Melinda Nadj Abonji, welche im Alter von fuenf Jahren als Immigrantin zu ihren Eltern in die Schweiz kam. Es ist das erste Mal, dass die Auszeichnung an einen Schweizer Autor geht. Sie erhielt den Preis fuer ihren Roman <Tauben fliegen auf>, welcher autobiografisch beeinflusst ist. In 2005, the second model of <Prius> was chosen as <Car of the Year> by the international <Car-of-the-Year-Jury>. In 2009, the <Prius III> (three) was awarded as the <most eco-friendly car> of the middle class (cars) by the <Verkehrs-Club of Switzerland (VCS). In 2010, the car (Toyota) is ranked as number one in the environment list regarding to all vehicle segments and model types. The last 1,5 meters of rock was broken through on the occasion of a solemn ceremony in presence of authorities, miners, guests and about 300 representatives of media from Europe and other countries; Japanese journalists reported live on site from the historic event. With a length of 57,0 km, the new Gotthard-Base tunnel has become again the longest tunnel of the world. The number two of the world is now the <Seikan-Tunnel> in Japan with 53,9 km and then follows the Eurotunnel with 49,9 km; the number four of the world is the Loetschberg-Base tunnel in Switzerland too. The new tunnel will go into operation in the year 2017; then the international express trains will cross the mountain with a speed of 200 km/hour. The cost for that unique construction will amount to about 24 billion Swiss Francs; the Swiss citizens approved that courageous project in a plebiscite in the year 1992. Mit einer Laenge von 57,0 km ist der Gotthard-Basistunnel somit wieder der laengste Tunnel der Welt. Die Nummer 2 der Welt ist jetzt der <Seikan-Tunnel> in Japan mit 53,9 km und dann folgt der Eurotunnel mit 49,9 km; die Nummer 4 der Welt ist der Loetschberg-Basistunnel in der Schweiz. The award is given by the famous travel guide <Gault Millau>. The new <Chef of the Year> works for four years at the prestigious hotel in Basle and <his restaurant> was appraised with <2 Michelin Stars> and <18 Gault Millau Points> already after one and a half years. The native of Bavaria (Germany) lives near Basle and does not want to return to Germany, because he is so pleased and happy to be in Switzerland. Peter Knogl, der Kuechenchef im Grandhotel <Les Trois Rois> in Basel wurde mit dem Titel <Koch des Jahres 2011> in der Schweiz ausgezeichnet. Die Auszeichnung wird vom bekannten Reisefuehrer <Gault Millau> vergeben. Der neue <Koch des Jahres> arbeitet seit vier Jahren im angesehenen Hotel in Basel und <sein Restaurant> wurde bereits nach 1,5 Jahren mit <2 Michelin-Sterne> und <18 Gault Millau-Punkte> bewertet. In the whole of Europe 427 researchers get a so-called <Starting Grant>, the amount (subsidy) reaches up to two million Euros for a period of one to five years. In comparison to other countries, Switzerland is ranked as number four regarding to the number of received <grants>; Great Britain receives <grants> for 79 projects, France for 71 projects and Germany for 67 projects. The most successful Swiss university regarding to the number of <grants> is the <EPEL Lausanne> with seven <grants>, then follows the ETH Zurich with six and then the rest.
