The <Technology Academy Finland> honored the Swiss for his invention of a new-kind of dye solar cell, which became famous under the name of <Graetzel-Cell>; the award is the most important technology prize of the world, which is awarded every two years to persons, who improved the good and the quality of life of the humans. The company <HeiQ> meaning <High Quality> was established as <spin-off> of the ETH Zurich in 2005 and it employs a workforce of 23 people. The company is doing business in the field of textile chemistry and has based on the US-oil catastrophe developed in a very short time with partners a product, which could be used successfully against the oil pollution. The conducted tests in the laboratory were successful and tests on site in the USA with the so-called <Oilguard- Technology> could be started next week. A delegation of the US armed forces is already on the way to Switzerland in order to examine the product on site. The product is an oil-friendly and water-repellent chemical, which could soak the oil through <Vilene-carpets>. Das (kleine) Schweizer <High-Tech-Unternehmen HeiQ> (ausgesprochen als hike) stellt den US-Behoerden ihre Unterstuetzung im Kampf gegen die Oel-Pest zur Verfuegung. Die Firma <HeiQ>, mit der Bedeutung <High Quality> wurde im Jahr 2005 als <Spin-off> der ETH Zuerich gegruendet und beschaeftigt 23 Angestellte. Die Firma ist auf dem Gebiet der Textilchemie taetig und hat aufgrund der US-Oelkatastrophe in sehr kurzer Zeit zusammen mit Partnern ein Produkt entwickelt, welches sich mit Erfolg gegen die Oel-Verschmutzung einsetzen lassen sollte. Die durchgefuehrten Tests im Labor waren erfolgreich und Versuche vor Ort in den USA mit der so-genannten <Oilguard- Technologie> sollen naechste Woche beginnen. Eine Delegation des US-Militaer ist bereits auf dem Weg in die Schweiz um das Produkt vor Ort zu pruefen. In a press conference, the director of the Department of Security and Police, Mrs. Isabel Rochat expressed its satisfaction about the success of the campaign after the first seven weeks. Policemen in uniform and dressed in civil have patrolled since then more frequently en route and checked suspicious persons; the streets in the districts of Cornavin, Paquis, Eaux Vives and Rives were monitored especially. The number of thefts decreased by about 20% and about 10% more people were arrested; that amounts to 248 persons. The police have so far performed a total of 11,800 workings hours within the scope of <Figaro>; Isabel Rochat intends to engage an additional 250 policemen on a medium term. Polizisten in Uniform und in zivil sind seither haeufiger unterwegs und kontrollieren verdaechtige Personen; die Strassen in den Quartieren Cornavin, Paquis, Eaux Vives und Rives werden dabei besonders ueberwacht. Die Zahl der Diebstaehle ist um zirka 20% zurueck gegangen und es wurden zirka 10% mehr Leute festgenommen, dies entspricht 248 Personen. Swiss Francs in order to supply components to equip 14 satellites of the European Satellite Navigation System <Galileo>. Within the group, <Ruag Space> is in charge of that work; the enterprise is according to its own information, the major independent supplier for the space industry in Europe. <Galileo> is a civil satellite system, which is independent of the US-System <GPS>. The first satellites shall be launched into space even in this year. Das Schweizer Technologie- und Ruestungs-Unternehmen <Ruag> erhielt einen Auftrag ueber 35 Mio. Schweizer Franken um 14 Satelliten des europaeischen Satelliten-Navigations-Systems <Galileo> mit Bauelementen (Baugruppen) auszuruesten. Innerhalb des Konzerns ist dafuer <Ruag Space> zustaendig; das Unternehmen ist gemaess eigenen Angaben der groesste unabhaengige Zulieferant fuer die europaeische Raumfahrt-Industrie. The mandate takes one year; The Swiss conducted already talks with the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and with representatives of country groups. His duties concern among others the <Millennium Development program> of the United Nations and he shall re-activate the reform of the UN Security Council. For the Switzerland, the election was a great honor and estimation; for Switzerland it is the first high level function within the scope of the United Nations. Der fruehere Schweizer Praesident und Aussenminister Joseph Deiss wurde zum Praesidenten der 65. Sitzungsperiode der UNO- Generalversammlung gewaehlt und er wird sein Amt am 14. September 2010 antreten. Die Amtszeit dauert ein Jahr; der Schweizer fuehrte bereits Gespraeche mit dem Uno-Generalsekretaer Ban Ki-moon und mit Vertretern von Laendergruppen. Seine Aufgaben betreffen unter anderem das <Millennium-Entwicklungsprogramm> der UNO und er soll die Reform des UNO-Sicherheitsrates wieder aktivieren. The trademark of Noda-san is his serious (grim) facial expression; that brings him respect and he has enough self-confidence to accomplish unpopular hard measures against <protection of vested rights bureaucrats and politicians>. As son of a Japanese soldier, he studied economics at the famous Waseda University; then he studied at the <Matsushita Institute of Government and Management>, which was founded by Matsushita Konosuke. It has the aim to allow ordinary Japanese citizens to follow a political career; they shall then use their capabilities and knowledge for the good of Japan. The institute is called lovingly the <Matsushita Juku>; 100-hours marches, monks discipline, stamina, early get up and cleaning are part of the everyday life of those students at the institute. Der neue japanische Finanzminister, Noda Yoshihiko gilt trotz seinem <jungen> Alter von 53-Jahren als politisch erfahren und diszipliniert um die schwierigen Herausforderungen im Finanzministerium zu meistern und die noetigen Massnahmen umzusetzen. Das Markenzeichen von Noda-san ist sein ernster (grimmiger) Gesichtsausdruck, dies bringt im Respekt und er verfuegt ueber genuegend Selbstvertrauen um unpopulaere, harte Massnahmen gegen <besitzstandswahrende Buerokraten und Politiker> durchsetzen zu koennen. Als Sohn eines japanischen Soldaten studierte er an der angesehenen Waseda-Universitaet Wirtschaft; nachher studierte er am <Matsushita Institute of Government and Management>, welches von Matsushita Konosuke gegruendet wurde. Es hat das Ziel einfachen japanischen Buergern eine politische Laufbahn zu ermoeglichen; sie sollen ihre Faehigkeiten und Wissen zum Wohl von Japan einsetzen. He didn't hesitate to address the problem of the Japanese tax system; besides, he explained the citizens the three major duties, which have to be solved in the interest of the country. Those are among others, the financial restructuring of the National Budget, the reform of the administration and the write up of a responsible security policy. Kan-san is a citizen friendly politician and his aim is that the people (voters) can take again more influence on politics. In a first survey, the new Government received an approval of 62%. Der neue japanische Ministerpraesident Kan Naoto zeigt Entschlossenheit und Fuehrungsstaerke um die schwierigen Herausforderungen Japans anzupacken. Er zoegerte nicht das Problem des japanischen Steuersystems anzusprechen; zudem erklaerte er den Buergern die drei wichtigen Hauptaufgaben, welche im Interesse des Landes zu loesen sind. Dies sind unter anderem die Sanierung des Staatshaushalts, die Reform der Verwaltung und das Formulieren einer verantwortungsvollen Sicherheitspolitik. Kan-san ist ein buergernaher Politiker und sein Ziel ist, dass das Volk (Waehler) wieder mehr Einfluss auf die Politik nehmen kann. Hayabusa kommt nach 7 Jahren zurueck (Fri 11.06.2010 Smi) 日本の小惑星探査機「はやぶさ」は間もなくオーストラリアに着陸する。こ の宇宙探査機は2003年に打ち上げられ、2005年に小惑星「イトカワ（糸川）」 に到達した。日本の研究者達は、今「はやぶさ」がこの惑星のチリを持ち帰 ることを願っている。成功すれば画期的な事だ。7年間の旅は困難だったが、 日本の研究者達は諦める事無く、問題の解決に成功してきた。 （出典：2010年6月11日付ターゲス・アンツァイガー紙） The Japanese space probe <Hayabusa> will be soon landing in Australia; the probe was launched in 2003 and reached the asteroid <Itokawa> in 2005. The Japanese researchers hope now that they were successful to bring back home soil samples (dust) from that planet; in case of a success that would be a sensation. The 7-years long journey was difficult; the Japanese researchers however never gave up and they could solve successfully the problems. Die japanische Weltraum-Sonde <Hayabusa> wird demnaechst in Australien landen; die Sonde wurde im Jahr 2003 gestartet und erreichte 2005 den Asteroiden <Itokawa>. Die japanischen Forscher hoffen jetzt, dass es gelang von diesem Planet Bodenproben (Staub) mitzubringen; bei einem Erfolg waere dies eine Sensation. Die 7-jaehrige Reise war schwierig; die japanischen Forschern gaben jedoch nie auf und konnten Probleme erfolgreich loesen. Okami-san recommended us a visit to the <Northern Culture Museum> outside of Niigata-City or to visit <Jikoji-temple> near Gosen-city. We finally went to the Museum on that fine and hot autumn day.
