In case of a relocation of the headquarters to Switzerland, the group could save 615 Mio. US-Dollars on taxes in a period of four years. For an implementation of the plan, the group apparently needs the agreement of its credit grantors such as the Royal Bank of Scotland and the Llyods Banking Group. According to <Bloomberg>, the business tax in Great Britain is at a level of 28%, whereas in Switzerland it reaches in some regions of Switzerland less than 15%. For a removal there are economic reasons and the competitiveness; the saved money would again fully re-invested into the enterprise. Das britische Chemie Unternehmen <Ineos> prueft derzeit die Moeglichkeit einer Verlegung ihres Hauptsitzes von Grossbritannien in die Schweiz. <Ineos> ist weltweit der dritt-groesste Chemie-Konzern mit 15 500 Mitarbeitern und 64 Fabriken in 14 Laendern; pro Jahr wird ein Umsatz von 47 Mrd. US-Dollar erwirtschaftet. Bei einer Verlegung des Hauptsitzes in die Schweiz koennte der Konzern in einer Periode von vier Jahren 615 Mio. US-Dollar an Steuern sparen. The Credit Suisse shall have plans to move 200 employees to Switzerland. The reason for that measures are the tax increases of the British Government; since this year, <Bankers> have to pay a tax of 50% on variable salaries of more than Swiss Francs 40,000. An additional tax increase will take effect in April; incomes of more than SFr. 245,000 must then pay half of it (50%) to the State. The UBS is presently on a waiting stance regarding to relocation. In the past, Switzerland lost among others <Gold Trading> and <Equity Trading> to the City of London; now, there can be seen a positive return movement to Switzerland. British Banks intend to partly relocate their business to Switzerland too; some British Hedge-Funds (Blue Crest and Brevan Howard) have already partly moved to Switzerland. Die Credit Suisse plane demnach 200 Angestellte in die Schweiz umzusiedeln. Der Grund dafuer sind Steuer-Erhoehungen der britischen Regierung; seit diesem Jahr muessen <Banker> auf variablen Loehnen von mehr als SFr. 40 000.-- eine Steuer von 50% bezahlen. Eine weitere Steuer-Erhoehung tritt ab dem April in Kraft; Einkommen von mehr als SFr. 245 000 muessen dann die Haelfte (50%) davon dem Staat abliefern. Die UBS wartet derzeit mit einem Umzug noch zu. In der Vergangenheit verlor die Schweiz unter anderem den <Goldhandel> und den <Aktienhandel> an die City in London; nun zeigt sich eine positive Rueckkehr-Bewegung in die Schweiz. Before she took up her studies in Basle, she worked for 13 years as a midwife at the Regional Hospital Emmental (valley). In her thesis she treated the theme of <Crying babies, tired mothers - barriers on the start into a family>. In that context, she analyzed the data of more than 7,700 <Mother-Child-Pairs> in the past 3,5 years. The Institute of the University of Basle celebrates this years its 10th anniversary. Diese Woche erhielt die 41-jaehrige Elisabeth Kurth als erste Hebamme den Doktor-Titel einer Schweizer Universitaet; sie schloss ihr Studium am <Institut fuer Pflegewissenschaft> der Universitaet Basel mit einer Dissertation (Doktorarbeit) ab und besitzt jetzt den Titel als Dr. phil. Pflegewissenschaft (PhD Nursing Science). Vor ihrem Studium in Basel arbeitete sie 13 Jahre als Hebamme am Regionalspital Emmental. Ihre Doktorarbeit befasste sich mit dem Thema <Schreiende Babys, muede Muetter - Huerden beim Start in die Familie>. In diesem Zusammenhang untersuchte sie in den letzten 3,5 Jahren die Daten von mehr als 7 700 <Mutter-Kind-Paaren>. Das Institut der Universitaet Basel feiert dieses Jahr ihr 10-jaehriges Bestehen. In the previous year (2008), a loss of 4,73 billion Swiss Francs was reported. The profit happened to a great extent due to appreciations on the gold; on the gold stock of 1,040 tons, a profit of 7,33 billion Swiss francs was resulted. The allowances for currency reserves were allocated with an amount of 3 billion Swiss Francs. Die Schweizer Nationalbank (SNB) schloss das Geschaeftsjahr 2009 mit einem Gewinn von rund 10 Mrd. Schweizer Franken ab. Im Vorjahr (2008) gab es noch einen Verlust von 4,73 Mrd. Schweizer Franken. Der Gewinn ist zu einem grossen Teil auf die Wertsteigerungen beim Gold zurueckzufuehren; auf dem Goldbestand von 1040 Tonnen resultierte ein Gewinn von 7,33 Mrd. (Quelle: Tages-Anzeiger vom 05.03.2010) http://www.snb.ch/en/mmr/reference/pre_20100304/source/pre_20100304.en.pdf 5) アドゥリスヴィル：スイスで日本人の夢開く Adliswil/ZH: If Japanese Dreams come true in Switzerland Adliswil/ZH: Wenn Japanische Traeume wahr werden (Tue 23.02.2010 Smi) タカハシ・ヒロノリは、両親が東京で4代続くパン屋だが、ツューリッヒ郊外 のアドゥリスヴィルで2009年末に開業したスイス初の日本人パン屋。1人の日 本人が長年抱いていた夢を叶えた。ヒロさんはパン作りを基礎から学び、東 京で技術指導者だった。彼は生徒と共に3度、世界的に有名なルツェルンのリ ッシュモン製パン専門学校を訪れている。以来彼はヨーロッパで働きたいと 一途に願うようになった。ヨーロッパに200通の応募書類を送った後、11年前 に来瑞、先ず日本料理店で働いた。その後、ツューリッヒのパラデ広場に在 る著名な「ホテル・サヴォイ（五つ星）」で6年間パテシエのシェフとして働 いた。2009年12月から、アドゥリスヴィルの自分のパン屋で日本の美味しい 菓子パンを作っている。人気のアンパン類、カレーパン、抹茶ムース等の洋 菓子も製造している。これまでにスイス全土から、極上の和風手作りパンを 買いに日本人がやって来る。スペルト小麦を使ったスイス伝統のパンの品揃 えもあり、周辺の人々の為のギップフェリ（クロワッサン）も置いている。 希望の品がが売り切れている事もあるので、ヒロさんは事前の注文を歓迎し ている。(出典：2010年3月3日付ターゲス・アンツァイガー紙) Takahashi Hiro (Hironori), the son of a Japanese baker's family, whose parents run already in the fourth generation a bakery business in the surroundings of Tokyo, opened the end of 2009 in Switzerland, in the town of Adliswil outside of Zurich, the first Japanese bakery of Switzerland. With that step finally a long lasting Japanese dream came true. <Hiro-san> learnt the bakery craft from the basics and he was working as a subject teacher in Tokyo. With his students, he visited three times the worldwide known bakery professional academy Richemont in Lucerne. Since then, he had only one wish (dream); he wanted to work in Europe. Eleven years ago, he came to Switzerland after having written two hundred job applications in Europe; first he worked at a Japanese restaurant. Later he moved to the famous <Hotel Savoy> (5-Stars) at the Zurich Paradeplatz, where he occupied the position of a <Chief of pastry> (Chef de Patisserie). Since December 2009, he prepares in his own bakery shop delicious Japanese sweets; among them are the favorite <Anpan> with read beans (Azuki), different others types (e.g. Curry pan etc.) or pastry such as <Maccha-Mousse>. Japanese from all over Switzerland <pilgrimage> (come) to Adliswil in the meantime in order to buy the selected, hand-made <Made in Japan> specialties. Traditional Swiss breads are also part of the assortment, some made of spelt wheat; people from the neighborhood can even by <Gipfeli> (croissant). <Hiro-san> is pleased to take orders in advance too; then you can be sure that your <favorite> pastries are not yet sold out. Takahashi Hiro (Hironori), der Sohn einer japanischen Baeckersfamilie, dessen Eltern schon in der vierten Generation in der Umgebung von Tokyo eine Baeckerei betreiben, eroeffnete Ende 2009 in der Schweiz, in Adliswil ausserhalb Zuerich, die erste japanische Baeckerei der Schweiz. Damit wurde endlich ein langer japanischer Traum wahr. <Hiro-san> lernte das Baeckerei-Handwerk von Grund auf und er war in Tokyo als Fachlehrer taetig; mit seinen Studenten besuchte er drei Mal die weltweit bekannte Baeckereifachschule Richemont in Luzern. Seither hatte er nur noch einen Wunsch, er wollte in Europa arbeiten. Vor elf Jahren kam er in die Schweiz nachdem er zweihundert Bewerbungen in Europa geschrieben hatte; zuerst arbeitete er in einem japanischen Restaurant. Spaeter wechselte er in das angesehene <Hotel Savoy (*****)> am Paradeplatz in Zuerich, wo er sechs Jahre lang <Chef de Patisserie> war. Seit Dezember 2009 stellt er in der eigenen Backstube in Adliswil koestliche japanische Suessigkeiten her; es sind dies unter anderem die beliebten <Anpan> mit roten Bohnen (Azuki), verschiedene andere Sorten (Curry-Pan etc.) oder Patisserie wie <Machia-Mousse>. Japaner aus der ganzen Schweiz <pilgern> inzwischen nach Adliswil um die erlesenen, hand-gefertigten <Made in Japan> Spezialitaeten zu kaufen. The enterprise had been awarded on different occasions; <Master of Swiss Web> in 2008, <Red Dot Award> from Germany in 2009; according to the <Nielsen Norman Group>, the Swiss company was one of the worldwide ten best <Web-Applications> in 2008!! This year the company plans the entry into the international market from the USA up to Japan. It is possible, that soon a <Silicon-Valley> story might be born with the origin in Berne. The Geneva Company is doing business in the field of delivery service of parcels, goods etc. with an overall weight of up 180 kilograms per <Cargo-Cycle>; served are the City of Geneva and its surroundings. The vehicles are listed up under the category of moped and are supported by electricity. The company is very competitive; no cost for fuel, little cost for insurance premiums and little cost for maintenance. Comparing to competitors, there prices are about 10% to 30% cheaper; a major advantage is the rapidity. The company is a model also regarding to social responsibility; they occupy unemployed people on a limited contract of 6 to 24 months in order to promote their reintegration! The Germans applauded once more the <Joint-Venture> with the Japanese enterprise and celebrated Suzuki Osamu on that occasion. The novelties of <VW> at the Motor Show shall have amazed even Suzuki-san himself. The Swiss President, Doris Leuthard opened the 80th International Geneva Motor Show; she requested intelligent automobiles; which should have a considerable lower consumption of gasoline and output of CO2. For her, the car is a symbol of freedom and she enjoys driving a car. The previous day we noticed that our rental phone company had changed to another provider. It was <Softbank>; its coverage is not satisfactory, especially in the countryside; we noticed on several occasions that we had no reception or had to go out of the house in order to make or accept a call. In Togakushi, there is also a <Togakushi Forest Botanical Garden> and in the town there are many <Bamboo Craftsmen Shops>. We walked through the Cedar alley up to the main shrine, which is located on higher ground. We underestimated the approach up to the hill; it was a fairly hard walk and the natural trail requested good footgear and preferably a hiking stick. We were completely sweated afterwards. As soon as the sun disappeared and with some wind, it felt cold, especially when you are wet. Fortunately, at the entrance there was a restaurant, without air-condition, comfortably warm, where we changed clothes and ate a delicious warm Tororo-Soba. We stayed there until we got warm and fit to walk back to our parking lot.
