Based on the relocation 160 working places will be moved; the local (Italian) Mayor explained that the relocation of the company could be in connection with the tax dispute between Italy and Switzerland. The company <The North Face> belongs to the group <VF Corporation>, which is represented in Lugano already with four other brands employing about 250 employees which work in the fields of logistics and administration. According to press information thanks to the relocation the enterprise intends to profit from better synergies and will be able to increase the competitiveness. (Quelle: bazonline.ch vom 27.11.2009) http://www.thenorthface.com 2) ぺディバス、徒歩スクールバス Pedibus, the school bus on feet Pedibus, der Schulbus auf Fuessen (Fri. 27.11.2009 Smi) 「ペディバス」は、徒歩によるスクールバスで、2009年10月より開始された スイス交通クラブのプロジェクトでもある。「ぺディバス」によって、子供 達の安全や自立、健康、福利が推進される。子供達は、親に車で学校に送っ てもらう代わりに、大人が同伴して、安全かつ環境に配慮して、徒歩で学校 や幼稚園に行く。「ペディバス」は、決められた停留所と時刻表に従い、定 められた道をたどる。親は日程表を受け取り、交代で子供達を引率する。同 プロジェクトは、ルツェルン州の地方自治体「ヘルビュール」で今週始めら れた。（2009年11月27日付け20ミヌーテンより） The <Pedibus> that is a school bus on feet and at the same time a project of the Swiss Traffic Club (VCS) which was started in October 2009. Thanks to the <Pedibus> the safety, independence, health and well-being of the children will be promoted. Instead that the parents drive their children by car to school, the children walk on foot in company of an adult person safely and environment-friendly to the school or the nursery. <The Pedibus> follows an arranged way and a certain timetable, on which there are fixed stops. The parents get an operation schedule and they rotate in accompanying the children. At the Lucerne based commune of Hellbuehl the project was started this week. Der <Pedibus>, das ist ein Schulbus auf Fuessen und gleichzeitig ein Projekt des Verkehrsclub der Schweiz (VCS), welches im Oktober 2009 gestartet wurde. Mit dem <Pedibus> wird die Sicherheit, Selbstaendigkeit, Gesundheit und das Wohlbefinden der Kinder gefoerdert. Anstatt, dass die Eltern ihre Kinder mit dem Auto in die Schule fahren, gehen die Kinder in Begleitung einer erwachsenen Person sicher und umweltfreundlich zu Fuss zur Schule oder in den Kindergarten. Der <Pedibus> folgt einem vereinbarten Weg, wo es fixe Haltestellen und einen bestimmten Fahrplan gibt; die Eltern erhalten einen Einsatzplan und wechseln sich in der Begleitung der Kinder ab. In der Luzerner Gemeinde Hellbuehl wurde das Projekt diese Woche gestartet. Here, the circus dream comes true; the many prominent guests applauded when the founder of the circus Mr. Herbi Lips inaugurated the performance; he was in a wheel-chair because he has fallen ill of cancer recently. The youngest artist of the group is a 14-years juggler from Germany and the eldest artist is the world-famous Japanese circle-juggler (spinner) Koma Zuru with the age of 77 years. He was the star of the evening! In Japan he is a so-called <Living National Treasure of Japan>. (Wed. 25.11.2009 Smi) 金の記録的な高値のために、手持ちの金のアクセサリーを売って現金に換え る人が増えている。金の値段は、1997年には1オンス400米ドルだったが、こ のほど記録的高値の1,173米ドルに達した。チューリヒの有名なショッピン グ通りである、バーンホフシュトラーセの多くの金を扱う店や宝飾店では、 古い金を買い取っている。客は、18金の金を売ると、1グラムあたり18フラ ン(約1,500円）受け取る。宝飾店は、古い金を溶かし、諸経費を引いて、1 グラムあたり約25フランを手に入れることになる。店主達は、この大変高い 利益率に満足している。この「金ブーム」は約1年前に始まった。金を売る 者は、経済危機のために貧窮から現金を必要としているか、高い金の価格で 利益を上げたい人が多い。金歯や結婚指輪なども売られている。 （2009年11月25日付けターゲス・アンツァイガー紙より） The <Record-high> of the gold price led to the fact, that more and more people sell their gold jewelry in order to get cash. The gold price was at a level of around 400 US per ounce in the year 1997 and in the past few days it reached a record price of 1173 USD per ounce!! At the famous shopping street (Bahnhofstrasse) in Zurich, many gold jewelry shops and jewelers accept <old gold> on purchase. Presently, the customer gets about SFr. 18.-- (ca. Yen 1500) per (one) gram of <old gold> with a refinement of 18 carat. <The gold houses> give the <old gold> for melting down and they receive after the deduction of all charges about SFr. 25. - back per (one) gram. The shop-owners are pleased about the very satisfactory <margin> (returns). The <gold boom> had started about a year ago; <old gold> is sold because someone is in need (economic crisis) or because people want to profit from the high gold price. People sell items such as dental gold, wedding rings!! etc. Der <Rekordhohe> Goldpreis fuehrt dazu, dass immer mehr Leute ihren Goldschmuck verkaufen um damit Bargeld zu bekommen. In der beruehmten Einkaufsstrasse (Bahnhofstrasse) in Zuerich nehmen viele Goldgeschaefte und Bijouterien Altgold zum Kauf entgegen. Derzeit erhaelt der Kunde zirka SFr. 18.― (ca. Yen 1500) pro Gramm Altgold 18 Karat. Die <Goldhaeuser> lassen das <Altgold> einschmelzen und bekommen nach Abzug aller Spesen zirka SFr. 25 zurueck; Ladenbesitzer freuen sich ueber die sehr gute <Marge> (Erloes). Der <Gold-Boom> hat zirka vor einem Jahr begonnen; verkauft wird weil man in Notlage ist und Geld braucht (Wirtschaftskrise) oder weil die Leute vom hohen Goldpreis profitieren wollen. Former Japanese Governments (such as LDP) have contested such an agreement for decades. Now, the Japanese newspapers <Mainichi Shimbun> and <Yomiuri Shimbun> have reported about it; after the change in the Japanese Government in September an investigation group was appointed, which reported about that to the Foreign Minister Okada Katsuya. The documents are now analyzed by experts and about the results of the investigation, Minister Okada will inform in January 2010. Intelligence service information was published in the USA in October giving possible details too on an agreement about the transport of nuclear weapons; that shall have been concluded in the sixties. In the year 1967, Japan officially decided to ban the production and possession of nuclear weapons; besides, no nuclear weapons are allowed to be stationed on its territory. In Japan sind Dokumente aufgetaucht welche beweisen sollen, dass vor Jahren ein Abkommen mit den USA ueber den Transport von Atomwaffen durch japanisches Territorium abgeschlossen wurde. Fruehere japanische Regierungen (z.B. LDP) haben eine solche Abmachung waehrend Jahrzehnten bestritten. Jetzt berichteten die japanischen Zeitungen <Mainichi Shimbun> und <Yomiuri Shimbun> darueber; nach dem Wechsel der Regierung in Japan im September wurde eine Untersuchungsgruppe eingesetzt, welche Aussenminister Okada Katsuya darueber berichtete. Die Unterlagen werden jetzt durch Experten analysiert und ueber die Ergebnisse will Minister Okada im Januar 2010 informieren. In den USA im Oktober veroeffentlichte Geheimdienst-Informationen zeigten ebenfalls Hinweise auf ein Abkommen ueber den Transport von Atomwaffen; dieses soll in den 60ziger Jahren abgeschlossen worden sein. Im Jahr 1967 beschloss Japan offiziell keine Atomwaffen herzustellen und zu besitzen; ausserdem wurde festgelegt, dass sich keine Atomwaffen aus seinem Gebiet befinden duerfen. Japanese motorists might not be affected from it because the actual <temporary gasoline tax> will be replaced by it and the new tax would be even 5 Yen lower than the present tax. The <old> gasoline tax amounts to 25 Yen per liter gasoline and the planned CO2-tax would amount to 20 Yen. The gasoline in Japan is about 25% cheaper than in Switzerland even though an <ordinary> gasoline tax of 31 Yen is charged too. The remaining earnings shall be generated by a CO2-tax on fuel and fossil fuels; the new tax would charge the average household in Japan by only 1127 Yen per year. Die neue japanische Regierung beabsichtigt eine CO2-Steuer auf Benzin, Heizoel und fossile Brennstoffe einzufuehren; diese soll Einnahmen von 22 Mrd. Schweizer Franken einbringen und im Kampf gegen die Klimaveraenderung eingesetzt werden. Japanische Autofahrer duerften davon jedoch nichts spueren, da die aktuelle <temporaere Benzinsteuer> damit ersetzt wird und die neue Steuer sogar 5 Yen niedriger wird. Die <alte> Benzinsteuer betraegt 25 Yen pro Liter Benzin und die geplante CO2-Steuer soll 20 Yen betragen. Das Benzin ist in Japan ungefaehr 25% guenstiger als in der Schweiz, obwohl noch eine <ordentliche> Benzinsteuer von 31 Yen erhoben wird. The members of parliament elected in the Staenderat, the 65-years old Erika Forster from the FDP as their president and at the Nationalrat, the 32-years old Pascale Bruderer from the SP was elected as their president. The two women were elected in their functions with a very high number of votes. Besides, next year, Doris Leuthard will be in charge of the post of a Federal President of Switzerland for one year; that function is held in rotation by the members of the Swiss Government. Im Schweizer Parlament sind erstmals im Staenderat und im Nationalrat zwei Frauen als Rats-Praesidenten an der Spitze fuer ein Jahr. Die Parlamentarier waehlten im Staenderat die 65-jaehrige Erika Forster von der FDP zur Praesidentin und im Nationalrat wurde die 32-jaehrige Pascale Bruderer von der SP zur Praesidentin gewaehlt. Die beiden Frauen wurden mit sehr guten Stimmenzahlen in ihre Aemter gewaehlt. Ausserdem wird naechstes Jahr turnusgemaess Doris Leuthard das Amt des Bundespraesidenten fuer ein Jahr bekleiden. (Quelle: Tages-Anzeiger vom 24.11.2009) http://www.parlament.ch/d/Seiten/default.aspx 8) ビーチサッカー世界選手権でスイスが銀メダル Switzerland won silver medal at Beach-Soccer World Championship Schweiz gewinnt Silber-Medaille an Beach-Soccer WM (Mon. 23.11.2009 Smi) スイスのナショナルティームがドゥバイで開催された「FIFAビーチサッカー ・ワールドカップ」で驚きの銀メダルを獲得した。これは今回のトーナメン トで2位の成績。スイスは決勝戦で優勝候補のブラジルと闘い、10対5で敗れ た。ブラジルは今回で4回連続世界チャンピオン。スイスティームにとって 銀メダルは大きな成功だ。 （出典・2009年11月23日付ターゲス・アンツァイガー紙） The Swiss National Team won surprisingly the silver medal in the sports of <Beach-Soccer> (sand football) on the <FIFA-Beach Soccer World Cup> in Dubai; that means they were ranked second at the tournament. The Swiss lost in the finals against the favorites, the team of Brazil with a score of 10:5; the Brazilians won the title of a World Champion already for the fourth time in series. For the Swiss team the silver medal was a great success. Die Schweizer Nationalmannschaft holte in der Sportart <Beach- Soccer> (Sandfussball) am <FIFA-Beach Soccer World Cup> in Dubai ueberraschend die Silber Medalle, das heisst sie belegte den zweiten Rang. Die Schweizer verloren im Final gegen die Favoriten, dem Team aus Brasilien mit 10:5 Toren; die Brasilianer wurden damit bereits zum vierten Mal in Serie Weltmeister. Fuer die Schweizer Mannschaft ist die Silber-Medaille ein grosser Erfolg. We were so pleased and satisfied about the service and the hotel facilities; that's why I do not want to let you wait till the end. We stayed at the Hotel <Villa Fontaine TOKYO-Mita>, just a 6 min. walk from JR station Tamachi; the Mita Villa Fontaine is a brand new hotel and was just opened in September 2006. We stayed at a so- called <healing-room> offering a foot-massage machine and other health amenities; the room charge was surprisingly only Yen 13,000 including a buffet style Japanese/Western breakfast. The location is very convenient just between Tokyo and Shinagawa JR station. Across the main road of the hotel, is a post office (Japan Post) and at the nearby office building you will find restaurants such as for osoba. For dinner, we found a very delicious Okonomiyaki Restaurant within walking distance, offering a big variety of different dishes. Eating and drinking a la carte for two cost only Yen 7,700; I felt slightly uneasy to accept such a low bill having enjoyed many delicious dishes and drinks. The name of the restaurant is Musashi, popular among salarymen（和製英語).
