The so-called <FT Bowen Craggs Index 2009> elected now the website of the Basle pharmaceutical group Roche as the world best website. The website of Roche convinced the jury thanks to its impressive quality on all fields compared to its competitors. With such a result Roche is the <Rising Star> (climber) of the year; in 2008, the Swiss enterprise was ranked far behind on rank number 39. Thanks to a careful <Refresh> based on design and innovation as the jury said, Roche was ranked now as number one. The last two years the company Siemens was ranked as number one. Further major Swiss enterprise were ranked as follows: Nestle on rank number nine and Novartis on rank number 11. (Quelle: tagesanzeiger online vom 29.05.2009) http://www.bowencraggs.com/ftindex http://www.roche.com/index.htm 2) 避妊ピル：女性に死亡の危険 Birth control pill: deadly risks for women Antibaby-Pille: toedliche Risiken fuer Frauen (Sat. 30.05.2009 Smi) まったくの健康体であった16歳の少女、セリーヌが、2008年に避妊薬「ヤス ミン」を服用して重い肺塞栓症に罹り、その後麻痺状態となっていることが 報道された。セリーヌは以来重度の障害者となり、リハビリテーション病棟 での介護を必要とする状態となっている。製造元の製薬会社は「ヤスミン」 の服用と肺塞栓の因果関係を否定している。スイス医薬品省「Swissmedic」 の広報官は、新しいタイプの避妊ピルの多くが、血栓を惹き起こす危険性が 極めて高いことを発表した。「Swissmedic」には、過去5年間で避妊ピルに よる副作用が50件寄せられているが、90％は統計には出てこない。「ヤスミ ン」のスイスでの市場占有率は20％以上に上っている。スイスでは1990年か ら2009年の間に5人の女性が避妊ピルの副作用によって死亡しており、その うち4人が肺塞栓によって亡くなっている。多くの女性にとって「ピル」は 「ライフスタイル製品」となっているが、危険と副作用は考慮されないこと が多い。（2009年5月29日、30日付けターゲス・アンツァイガー紙より） The press reported about the case of a <as sound as a bell > 16- years old girl called Celine, who suffered a serious pulmonary embolism in the year 2008 after having taken for the first time the contraceptive medicine <Yasmin>. Since then, the girl is paralyzed. The young woman is since then most severly handicapped and has to be cared for in a rehab hospital. The manufacturer of the medicine <Yasmin> cannot see any correlation between the taking of the drug and the pulmonary embolism. A spokesman of <Swissmedic> explained that many new types of birth control pills have a considerably higher risk for thrombosis. <Swissmedic> said that it has received about 50 messages regarding to side effects of birth control pills in the past five years; the dark figure in that field is at 90%. The mentioned drug has a market share of 20% in Switzerland. In Switzerland, in a period of 1990 to 2009, five women have died due to side effects of birth control pills; in four of the cases, a pulmonary embolism led to the death! For many women, the <pill> has become a <lifestyle product>; risks and side effects are often pushed aside. Die Presse berichtete ueber den Fall eines kerngesunden 16- jaehrigen Maedchens namens Celine, welches nach der erstmaligen Einnahme des Verhuetungsmedikaments <Yasmin> im Jahr 2008 eine schwere Lungenembolie erlitt und seither gelaehmt ist. Die junge Frau ist seither schwerst-behindert und muss in einer Rehabilitationsklinik gepflegt werden. Die Hersteller-Firma des Medikaments <Yasmin> sieht keinen Zusammenhang mit der Lungenembolie und der Einnahme des Medikaments. Ein Sprecher von <Swissmedic> erklaerte, dass viele neue Typen von Antibaby-Pillen ein erheblich hoeheres Risiko fuer Thrombose haetten. <Swissmedic> bekam in den letzten fuenf Jahren zirka 50 Meldungen wegen Nebenwirkungen von Antibaby-Pillen, wobei die Dunkelziffer 90% betraegt. Das genannte Medikament verfuegt in der Schweiz ueber einen Marktanteil von 20%. In der Schweiz sind im Zeitraum von 1990 bis 2009 fuenf Frauen an den Nebenwirkungen von Antibaby-Pillen gestorben; in vier Faellen fuehrte eine Lungenembolie zum Tod! Fuer viele Frauen ist die <Pille> ein <Lifestyle-Produkt> geworden; Risiken und Nebenwirkungen werden dabei gerne verdraengt. The temperatures reached levels of 30 centigrade Celisus and more; even under the consideration of the climate change that are extreme values!! The temperature values reached now, were reached in the past only in summer. According to the Meteo Switzerland, the present heat was <imported>; there were warm airmasses from Africa, which brought even Sahara dust. A cold weather front has reached in the meantime Switzerland causing a drop in temperature by about 20 degrees centigrade. Heavy thunderstorms with hail destroyed, in particular in part of Eastern Switzerland the strawberry harvest. The storms caused damage amounting to millions of Swiss Francs; one person died because a tree collapsed on his car. (It shall have been the warmest month of May for 140 years.) In der Schweiz wurden in den letzten Tagen die hoechsten Temperaturen registriert, welche je im Monat Mai gemessen wurden. Die Temperaturen erreichten Werte von 30 Grad Celsius und mehr; sogar unter Beruecksichtigung der Klimaveraenderung sind dies extreme Werte!! Dies sind inzwischen Temperaturwerte, welche man in der Vergangenheit nur im Sommer erreichte. Gemaess Meteo- Schweiz ist die derzeitige Hitze <importiert>; es handelt sich um warme Luftmassen aus Afrika, welche sogar Sahara-Staub mitbrachten. Eine Kaltfront erreichte in der Zwischenzeit die Schweiz und es gab einen Temperatur-Sturz von ungefaehr 20 Grad Celsius. Heftige Gewitter mit Hagelschlag vernichteten, insbesondere in Teilen der Ostschweiz die Erdbeeren-Ernte. Die Unwetter verursachten Schaeden in Millionenhoehe; ein Mensch starb, weil ein Baum auf sein Auto fiel. The 40-years-old Swiss belongs to the elite of the football referees and in Europe he is the number two!! On the occasion of the general audience in Rome, he and his two assistants were greeted personally by the Holy Father, Pope Benedikt XVI. Thanks to the papal respectively divine blessings (support), the Swiss referee directed the match impeccable and very professional. The chief of the Swiss referees was proud about the <genial> performance of the Swiss referee. Massimo Busacca is a believing Catholic and he was glad that he could rely on God's blessings (help)! The FC Barcelona won the match by a score of 2:0. Der international angesehene und erfahrene Schweizer Fussball- Schiedsrichter Massimo Busacca leitete in Rom das Final-Spiel um die Champions League zwischen den Mannschaften von Manchester United und dem FC Barcelona. Der 40-jaehrige Schweizer gehoert zur Elite der Fussball-Schiedsrichter und in Europa ist er die Nummer 2!! Anlaesslich der Generalaudienz auf dem Petersplatz in Rom wurde er vom Heiligen Vater, Papst Benedikt XVI zusammen mit seinen beiden Assistenten persoenlich begruesst. Dank paepstlicher beziehungsweise goettlicher Unterstuetzung leitete der Schweizer Schiedsrichter den Match einwandfrei und sehr professionell. Der Vorgesetzte der Schweizer Schiedsrichter war voller Stolz ueber die <geniale> Leistung der Schweizer Schiedsrichter. Massimo Busacca ist glaeubiger Katholik und er war froh, dass er auf Gottes Hilfe zaehlen durfte! Der FC Barcelona gewann das Spiel 2:0. The agreement was recognized as <historic> in the Swiss National Council. It is the ecomically most important free trade agreement of Switzerland since the one with the European Union in the year 1972. It is planned that the agreement could be effective on August 1, 2009. Japan is for Switzerland the fourth biggest trading partner after the EU, the USA and China. The Swiss Minister of Economics, Mrs. Doris Leuthard explained that a business delegation will travel to Japan the beginning of October 2009 in order to communicate the potential of 11 billion Swiss Francs within the scope of the trade. Der Schweizer Nationalrat, die grosse Parlaments-Kammer, genehmigte diese Woche als erster Rat, das Abkommen (Freihandel) <Free Trade and Economic Partnership> (FTEP) mit Japan einstimmig. Das Abkommen wurde im Nationalrat mit den Worten <historisch> gewuerdigt. Es ist das wirtschaftlich wichtigste Freihandelsabkommen der Schweiz seit jenem mit der Europaeischen Gemeinschaft vom Jahr 1972. Es ist vorgesehen, dass das Abkommen am 1. August 2009 in Kraft treten kann. Japan ist fuer die Schweiz der viert-groesste Handelspartner nach der EU, den USA und China. For the so-called <R&D Campus> (Research & Development) the US enterprise invested 120 Mio. Sfr. The new building accomodates three laboratories and employs more than 400 people. The enterprise produces among others, the world famous cigarette brands <Marlboro and Chesterfield>; with a work force of 1,300 employees, the enterprise is one of the biggest employer's in the Canton of Neuchatel, also known under the name of <Swiss Watch Valley>. (Quelle: NZZ vom 29.05.2009) http://www.watchvalley.ch/e/about/ http://www.philipmorrisinternational.com/PMINTL/pages/eng/press/pr_20090528.asp 7) 外国人に対する偽装結婚防止法案 (Fri. 29.05.2009 Smi) Against fictitious marriage of foreigners in Switzerland Gegen Schein-Ehen von Auslaendern in der Schweiz 国民議会に続いて今週全州議会でも、今後スイスで結婚が許可されるには正 当な滞在許可を持つ場合に限られると議決された。今回の民法の修正で、不 法滞在や亡命を拒否された外国人は、今後婚姻（偽装結婚）による滞在許可 を取得する事は出来なくなる。同法の修正はトニー・ブルンナー（ザンクト ガレン州、スイス国民党）のイニシアティブに遡る。国民議会では、スイス 国籍取得法をより厳格にした。国籍取得を目指す外国人が偽の申し立てをし たり、スイス国籍を得る為に事実を秘匿したりすれば、8年以内であればス イス国籍を再び剥奪される事もある。さながら8年間は暫定スイス人という 身分。これまでの猶予期間は5年だった。今後はこの種の悪用（偽装結婚等 ）に対して、より効果的に対処出来るようになる。 （出典：2009年5月29日付ターゲス・アンツァイガー紙） After the Swiss National Council, the Council of States (Cantons) has decided too this week, that in the future, a marriage will be only allowed when the applicant disposes of an ordinary residence permit (right of residence). With the acceptance of a modification of the Swiss civil code (ZGB), illegally staying foreigners or rejected asylum seekers cannot anymore procure themselves a residence permit by getting married ( fictitious marriage). The modification of the law is based on an initiative of Toni Brunner (SVP/Canton of St. Gallen). The Swiss National Council on his part intensified the law regarding to acquire Swiss citizenship (Naturalization). Somebody giving false information or hidding facts, when applying for Swiss citizenship, in that case, his (new) Swiss nationality can be revoked during a period of eight years. He remains quasi for eight years a provisional Swiss citizen. So far the period, in which nationality could be revoked was only five years. Violations such as fictitious marriage shall be able to be battled against more efficiently. Nach dem Nationalrat, beschloss diese Woche ebenfalls der Staenderat, dass in der Schweiz in Zukunft nur noch heiraten darf, wer ueber eine ordentliche Aufenthaltsbewilligung (Bleiberecht) verfuegt. Mit der Annahme einer Aenderung des Zivilgesetzbuchs (ZGB) koennen sich illegal anwesende Auslaender oder abgewiesene Asylbewerber nicht mehr mit einer Eheschliessung (Schein-Heirat) ein Aufenthaltsrecht verschaffen. Die Gesetzesaenderung geht auf eine Initiative von Toni Brunner (SVP/Kanton St. Gallen) zurueck. Der Nationalrat seinerseits verschaerfte das Gesetz fuer den Erwerb des Schweizer Buergerrechts; wer bei seiner Einbuergerung falsche Angaben macht oder Tatsachen verschweigt um das Schweizer Buergerrecht zu bekommen, diesem kann die Schweizer Nationalitaet waehrend acht Jahren wieder entzogen werden. Er bleibt quasi acht Jahre provisorisch Schweizer; bisher betrug die Frist nur fuenf Jahre. Missbraeuche (Schein-Ehe usw.) sollen damit wirksamer bekaempft werden koennen. That would be the highest level (value) for nearly 60 years. These could be signs of a slow recovery from the recession; the ministry of trade expects a further increase in production for the month of May and June. Das koennten Zeichen einer langsamen Erholung von der Rezession sein; fuer die Monate Mai und Juni erwartet das Handelsministerium weitere Steigerungen der Produktion. Auf der anderen Seite ist die Arbeitslosigkeit sehr rasch gestiegen; im April erreichte sie 5% und damit den hoechsten Stand seit mehr als fuenf Jahren. On Wednsdey, our present accomodation has its weekly day-off. We have to check out at 10 a.m. and temporarily move out. We had booked in advance one night at another Ryokan (Iya-onsen) more than one hour from here by car. However, the weather forecast was a bit unstable and the place is located in a remoted area up in the mountain; when it's raining, to do hiking up there might be a bit dangerous (slippery). Upon our guide's recommendation, we had made a reservation at the hotel <La Foret> TsurugiSan, located further on 1,500 meters. The distance 18 kilometers took us about 45 minutes by car; there was some road construction work. The hotel, a wooden structure is located on a small plateau with a nearby pond where you have a wonderful panorama view. We quickly greeted the hotel manager couple, telling them that we are going for hiking. They gave us some useful information and showed us the starting point of the hiking trail just at the parking lot.
