Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko got married. H.E. the Emperor feels sadness, in a period of time when his country goes through a very severe economic crisis, to accept congratulations and presents. He had tears in his eyes when he spoke about the long period of time, which has passed. H.E. the Empress feels like being in a dream, to be able to celebrate such a unique jubilee. H.E. Emperor Akihito has health problems after he had to undergo a surgery in the year 2003. S.E. das japanische Kaiserpaar feiert heute das <Goldene Hochzeit's> Jubilaeum; am 10. April 1959, also vor 50 Jahren heirateten S.E. Kaiser Akihito und Kaiserin Michiko. S.E. der Kaiser empfindet Trauer, in der Zeit der schweren Wirtschaftskrise seines Landes, Glueckwuensche und Geschenke entgegen zu nehmen. Er hatte Traenen als er an der Pressekonferenz ueber die lange Zeitperiode sprach; fuer S.E. die Kaiserin ist es fast wie ein <Traum> heute dieses einmalige Jubilaeum feiern zu koennen. S.E. Kaiser Akihito ist gesundheitlich angeschlagen, nachdem er sich im Jahr 2003 einer Operation unterziehen musste. (20min.ch Online vom 10.04.2009) 2) スイス女子体操選手が金メダル Gold medal for Swiss woman gymnastics athlete Goldmedaille fuer Schweizer Kunst-Turnerin (Mon. 06.04.2009 Smi) 21歳の「2008年度スイスを代表する女子スポーツ選手」の、アリエラ・ケス リンが、ミラノ（イタリア）で開かれた「2009年第三回欧州体操選手権」の 女子の部で、二つのメダルを獲得した。ルツェルン出身のケスリンは、個人 総合で胴メダル、そして跳馬で金メダルを獲得した。スイスの女子選手が体 操で金メダルを獲得したのは初めてのことである。これによりケスリンはロ シアとウクライナの選手を抑えて、ヨーロッパ選手権の優勝者となった。4 歳から体操を始めたケスリンに、今秋にはロンドンで世界選手権が控えてい る。（2009年4月6日付けターゲス・アンツァイガー紙より） The 21-years-old <Swiss Sports Athlete of the Year 2008>, Ariella Kaeslin won even two medals at the <3. European Artistic Gymnastic Championship 2009> in Milan (Italy) in the category women. After one Bronze medal in the category <All-around>, the athlete from Lucerne won a gold medal in the category <Apparatus>, the first ever gold medal for a Swiss women team in the field of Artistic Gymnastic in history. She became European Champion ahead of an athlete of Russia and the Ukraine. The Swiss women exercises since she is four years old in that field of sports; next are the World Championship on the program, taking place in London coming autumn. Die 21-jaehrige <Schweizer Sportlerin des Jahres 2008>, Ariella Kaeslin gewann an der <3. Europaeischen Kunstturnen Meisterschaft 2009> in Mailand (Italien) gleich zwei Medaillen in der Kategorie <Frauen>. Nach einer Bronzemedaille im Mehrkampf, gewann die Luzernerin mit einer Goldmedaille an den Geraeten, erstmals ueberhaupt eine Goldmedaille fuer die Schweizer Frauen im Kunstturnen. Sie wurde somit Europa-Meisterin vor einer Turnerin aus Russland und der Ukraine. Die Schweizerin uebt seit dem vierten Altersjahr den Turnsport aus; im Herbst steht die Weltmeisterschaft in London auf dem Programm. (Quelle: Tages-Anzeiger vom 06.04.2009) http://www.ariella-kaeslin.ch/ http://www.euro2009.it/home.php?lang=eng 3) スイスでは長引く道路工事 Road construction takes a bit longer in Switzerland Strassenbau geht etwas laenger in der Schweiz (Mon. 06.04.2009 Smi) （新しい）高速道路の建設には、スイスのような基本的な民主主義が機能し ている国では、他の国より時間がかかる。そのような建設は、議会や政治的 なすべての障害（国会、国民、許可、抗議、国民発議、国民投票など）を乗 り越えて初めて、受け入れられ、プロジェクトを完璧に遂行することができ る。国家的な意味のあるプロジェクトである、チューリヒ市の「西バイパス 」は、25年の計画期間（1971年6月開始）と13年間の実際の工事期間（1996 年9月13日開始）を経て、2009年5月4日に開通する。新高速道路の重要部分 は、チューリヒ市の「西バイパス」の一部である「ユートリベルクトンネル 」である。このバイパスの完成によって、チューリヒ市は通過車両（毎日7 万台）から開放される。2009年11月13日には、クノーナウアー地域の高速道 路A4号線の最後の区間が開通する。この区間はチューリヒと中央スイスを連 結する。国民（納税者）は誰でも、4月24と26日に行われる大規模な開通式 に参加できる。長い工事期間はその甲斐があり、「新高速道路」は、人間、 動物、自然に共通の利益をもたらすライフワーク。 （2009年4月6日付けターゲス・アンツァイガー紙より） The construction of a (new) national express way (motorway) needs somehow more time in a country like Switzerland with its good functioning base-democracy than in other countries. Such a construction, after it has passed all parliamentary and political hurdles (parliament, citizens, authorization, objections, initiative, referendum etc.), then it will be well accepted and the project can start to be implemented in a perfect way. A project of national importance is the <Western By-Pass> of the City of Zurich, which can take up operation on May 4, 2009 after a planing period of 25 years (Start was in June 1971) and an effective construction period of 13 years (construction work started on September 13, 1996). The core piece of the new express way is the <Uetliberg- Tunnel> as part of the <Western By-Pass> of the City of Zurich; with that by-pass the City of Zurich will be released from transit traffic (daily 70,000 vehicles). The last piece of express way, the A4 through the Knonauer district will be opened on November 13, 2009; that stretch connects Zurich with Central Switzerland. The population (taxpayers) are invited to join a major jubilee event on April 24/26. 2009. The long construction period was worthwhile; it is a <life work> of which people, animal and nature profit in common. Der Bau von (neuen) Nationalstrassen (Autobahn) braucht in einem Land wie der Schweiz mit seiner funktionierenden Basis-Demokratie etwas mehr Zeit als in anderen Laendern. Ein solches Bauwerk ist, nachdem es alle parlamentarischen und politischen Hindernisse (Parlament, Volk, Bewilligungen, Einsprachen, Initiativen, Referendum usw.) ueberwunden hat, akzeptiert und das Projekt kann perfekt umgesetzt werden. Ein Projekt von nationaler Bedeutung ist die <Westumfahrung> der Stadt Zuerich, welche nach einer Planungszeit (Start: Juni 1971) von 25 Jahren und einer effektiven Bauzeit (Start 13.09.1996) von 13 Jahren am 4. Mai 2009 in Betrieb genommen werden kann. Das Kernstueck der neuen Autobahn-Strecke ist der <Uetliberg- Tunnel> als Teil der <Westumfahrung> der Stadt Zuerich; mit dieser Umfahrung wird die Stadt vom Durchgangsverkehr (taeglich 70 000 Autos) entlastet. Am 13. November 2009 wird dann noch das letzte Teilstueck der Autobahn A4 im Knonauer Amt eroeffnet; diese Strecke verbindet Zuerich mit der Zentralschweiz. Die Bevoelkerung (Steuerzahler) sind zum einem grossen Eroeffnungsfest am 24./26. April 2009 eingeladen. Die lange Bauzeit hat sich gelohnt; es ist ein <Lebenswerk>, wovon Mensch, Tier und Natur profitieren. Swiss Francs. The budget (estimate) has calculated still with a surplus (profit) of 59 Mio. Sfr.; the reason for the loss in the last financial statements is based in the financial crisis of which the City of Zurich is severely hit. Both Swiss Big Banks UBS and CS contributed in <good> years every sixth tax-franc to the City. The tax receipts of all corporatations in the City of Zurich decreased from 977 Mio. Sfr. to only 576 Sfr. in the year 2008. According to the finance department of the City, the tax receipts could drop to even only 350 Mio. Sfr. by the year 2010; thanks to a growth in population, the tax receipts of natural persons increased by 130 Mio. to a total of 1,273 Mio. Swiss Francs. It is estimated that the City of Zurich will be back in the black as from the year 2012. The City Council has discovered already some cost saving potential of 160 to 250 Mio. Sfr.,, that is particularly important for the difficult year 2010. Zum ersten Mal seit 10 Jahren muss die Stadt Zuerich fuer die Jahresrechnung 2008 wieder ein Defizit ausweisen; das Minus (Verlust) betrug 179 Mio. Sfr. Das Budget (Voranschlag) rechnete noch mit einem Ueberschuss (Gewinn) von 59 Mio. Sfr.; der Grund fuer den Verlust in der letzten Jahresrechnung liegt in der Finanzkrise, welche die Stadt Zuerich stark getroffen hat. Die beiden Schweizer Grossbanken UBS und CS lieferten in <guten> Jahren jeden sechsten Steuerfranken der Stadt ab. Die Steuer-Einnahmen von allen Unternehmen in der Stadt Zuerich sanken von 977 Mio. Sfr. auf nur noch 576 Mio. Sfr. im Jahr 2008. Gemaess Finanzdepartement der Stadt koennten die Einnahmen bis 2010 sogar auf 350 Mio. Sfr. fallen; dank dem Bevoelkerungswachstum nahmen die Steuer-Einnahmen von natuerlichen Personen um 130 Mio. auf 1 273 Mio. Schweizer Franken zu. Es wird damit gerechnet, dass die Stadt Zuerich ab dem Jahr 2012 wieder <schwarze Zahlen> schreiben kann. Der Stadtrat hat bereits Sparpotential von 160 bis 250 Mio. The internationally respected Swiss architect Peter Zumthor will receive the <Pritzker-Prize 2009> in Buenos Aires on May 29, 2009. The prize is considered to be the most important award for architects worldwide; the prize is endowed with the amount of 100,000 US-Dollars. The Swiss architect Zumthor built famous international and national works, among others the <Therme Vals>, a mountain rock spa located at the Swiss Alps. The chairman of the <Hyatt Foundation> praised the Swiss with impressive words in the name of the Jury. Already in the year 2001, the Swiss Herzog & de Meuron were awarded with the <Pritzker-Prize>. Schweizer Architekten wurden bereits zum zweiten Mal mit dem renommierten <Pritzker-Preis>, welcher als <Nobel-Preis der Architektur> gilt geehrt. Am 29. Mai 2009 wird dem international angesehenen Schweizer Architekten Peter Zumthor der <Pritzker-Preis 2009> in Buenos Aires verliehen. Es handelt sich hier um die bedeutendste Auszeichung fuer Architekten auf der Welt; der Preis ist mit US-Dollar 100 000 dotiert. Der Schweizer Architekt Zumthor erstellte beruehmte internationale und nationale Bauten, unter anderem die <Therme Vals>, eine <Felsen-Thermalquelle> (Spa). These <robots> are not larger than bacteria and they will be moved by the means of magnetic fields in fluids. Thanks to it, e.g. calcifications in human arteries shall be able to be removed. Such robots have an overall length of about 25 to 60 micro-meters; in comparison with an human hair these <robots> are even smaller. http://www.ethz.ch/index_EN ETHZ: Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich Eine Gruppe Forscher der ETH Zuerich unter Leitung von Professsor Bradley Nelson haben sehr kleine, so-genannte <Mikro-Roboter> entwickelt, welche sich in Zukunft in menschlichen Koerperzellen bewegen koennen. Diese <Roboter> sind nicht groesser als Bakterien und werden mittels Magnetfeldern in Fluessigkeiten bewegt. Damit koennen beispielsweise einmal Verkalkungen in menschlichen Arterien weg genommen werden. Solche Roboter haben eine gesamte Laenge von zirka 25 bis 60 Mikrometern; vergleichbar mit einem Menschenhaar sind diese <Roboter> noch kleiner. He described them as <very superficial and no fundamental solutions in order to revive the economy.> <According to Mr. Yanai, they are focussing too much on the export industry; the government should however concentrate more on the domestic industry in order to promote growth and demand in native Japan . Yanai Tadashi is a <real> entrepreneur from the region (not from Tokyo); his home-town is <Ube> in the Prefecture of Yamaguchi, where he expanded and successfully developed the clothes enterprise of his father. His motto is <Learn from mistakes> (learn from defeat); that he mentioned in his best-seller-book <Once winning, nine times failing>. Yanai's advice to the Japanese Government is <to cut taxes so that Japanese citizens can look into the future with less worries; then they will have to save less money>! With its micro credits and consulting the association makes its possible that small entrepreneurs can implement their business idea within the scope of the establishment of a company. That can be a new perspective in particular for unemployed persons. The association is financially supported by the City of Zurich, the Zurich Cantonal Bank and <Migros- Culture-Percent>; with such credits, individuals or families can build up an existence. Banks hardly grant credits below an amount of Sfr. 40,000, that's why the association <Go> jumps into the (finance) gap. Besides the foundation (trust) of <ASECE> in Lausanne, the association <Go> is only the second organization, which grants micro credits in Switzerland. Der Verein <Go!>, welcher kleinen Unternehmen Mikrokredite und Beratung anbietet hat ihre Arbeit mitte Februar 2009 aufgenommen. Mit ihren Mikrokrediten und Beratung ermoeglicht der Verein, Klein-Unternehmern ihre Geschaeftsidee im Rahmen einer Unternehmensgruendung umzusetzen. Dies kann insbesondere fuer arbeitlose Personen eine neue Perspektive sein. Der Verein wird finanziell durch die Stadt Zuerich, die Zuercher Kantonalbank und das <Migros-Kulturprozent> unterstuetzt; mit solchen Krediten koennen sich Einzelpersonen oder Familien eine Existenz aufbauen. Da Banken kaum Kredite unter einem Betrag von 40 000 Sfr. gewaehren, springt hier der Verein <Go!> in die Luecke. Neben der Stiftung <ASECE> in Lausanne, ist der Verein <Go!> erst die zweite Organisation, welche in der Schweiz Mikrokredite vergibt.
