The award is part of the <Skytrax 2009 World Airline Award>. Regarding to the award, the British consulting company <Skytrax> conducted a survey among more than 15,4 Mio. passengers from 95 nations; based on it 160 airline companies were appraised. Swiss Francs. A female member of the jewelry company held the thief at the stand; the man however pushed the woman aside and ran away through the exhibition hall. The woman shouted loudly for help; on the way to the exit, the criminal stumbled and lost nearly all jewelry items. Outside of the exhibition place, the thief could be arrested by police and security personnel; he had still kept with him one diamond ring worth nearly 2 Mio. SFr. Ein Krimineller brach an einem Schmuckstand an der Uhren- und Schmuckmesse <Baselworld> tagsueber eine Vitrine auf und versuchte mit Schmuckgegenstaenden im Wert von zirka 13 Mio. SFr. zu fliehen. Eine Mitarbeiterin der Schmuckfirma hielt den Dieb am Stand fest; er stiess die Frau jedoch zur Seite und rannte durch die Halle weg. Die Frau rief laut um Hilfe; auf dem Weg zum Ausgang stolperte der Kriminelle, wobei er fast alle gestohlenen Schmuckstuecke verlor. Ausserhalb der Messhalle konnte der Dieb durch die Polizei und Sicherheitsleute verhaftet werden; er hatte noch einen Diamantenring im Wert von beinahe 2 Mio. Sfr. auf sich. It is the 48-years old Corine Mauch, an agricultural engineer, who is a member of the Social- Democratic Party (SP). She takes over her new office by the end of April 2009; the present office holder Elmar Ledergerber, who is Mayor since 2002 is going to resign then. The new female Mayor won the second election round with an advance of nearly 11,000 votes against the other candidate Kathrin Marelli from the Liberal- emocratic Party of Switzerland (FDP). In Switzerland, the City of Geneva had already a female Mayor in 1968 and in Lausanne the first female Mayor took up office in the year 1990. Die groesste Schweizer Stadt Zuerich waehlte erstmals in der Geschichte eine Frau als Stadtpraesidentin. Es ist die 48-jaehrige Corine Mauch, eine Agrar-Ingenieurin, welche der Sozial- demokratischen Partei (SP) angehoert. Sie tritt ihr Amt Ende April 2009 an und loest den bisherigen Amtsinhaber Elmar Ledergerber ab, welcher seit 2002 Stadtpraesident ist und zurueck tritt. Die neue Stadtpraesidentin siegte im zweiten Wahlgang mit einem Vorsprung von fast 11 000 Stimmen gegenueber Kathrin Martelli von der Freisinnig-Demokratischen Partei der Schweiz (FDP). The rule was written down in the new energy law; thanks to that measure, the significant possibilities of warm water processing by solar collectors shall be consequently used. At the minimum, half of the warm wasser demand must be covered by solar panels. A similar rule exists presently only in the Canton of Vaud and a nearly likewise regulation is under preparation in the Canton of Geneva. Das Parlament (Grosse Rat) des Kantons Neuenburg hat beschlossen, dass ab dem 1. Juli 2009 Neubauten zwingend mit Solaranlagen ausgeruestet werden muessen. Die Vorschrift wurde im neuen Energie- Gesetz festgehalten; damit sollen die bedeutenden Moeglichkeiten der Warmwasser-Aufbereitung mit Solaranlagen konsequent genutzt werden. Im Minimum die Haelfte des Warmwasser-Bedarfs muss mit Solar-Panels gedeckt werden. Eine vergleichbare Vorschrift besteht derzeit nur im Kanton Waadt und eine aehnliche Regelung ist im Kanton Genf in Vorbereitung. The request goes to the about 400,000 South Americans with Japanese ancestors, which were fetched as cheap labors by the industry to Japan during the booming period of the nineties (1990). Most of those people are originated from Brazil; with that measure the situation at the labor market shall be eased as the unemployment rate has increased in the meantime to 4,4%. The foreigners, who accept the offer, will be given a one- time amount of 300,000 Yen (2,300 Euro) and in addition another 200,000 Yen (1,500 Euro) for each family member joining to the departure. It is however estimated that not many foreigners will make use of the offer. South America suffers from the world economic crisis too. Die japanische Regierung will wegen der stark gestiegenen Arbeitslosigkeit im Land, die vielen (schlecht qualifizierten) auslaendischen Einwanderer aus Suedamerika zum Verlassen des Landes auffordern. Der Aufruf richtet sich an die zirka 400 000 Suedamerikaner mit japanischen Vorfahren, welche als billige Arbeitskraefte in der <Boom-Zeit> der 1990ziger Jahre durch die Industrie nach Japan geholt wurden. Die meisten dieser Leute kommen aus Brasilien; der Arbeitsmarkt soll damit entlastet werden, da die Arbeitslosenrate inzwischen auf 4,4% gestiegen ist. Die Auslaender, welche das Angebot annehmen erhalten einmalig den Betrag von 300 000 Yen (2300 Euro) und pro Familienmitglied, das zusammen ausreist nochmals Yen 200 000 Yen (1500 Euro). Es wird jedoch angenommen, dass nicht viele Auslaender vom Angebot Gebrauch machen werden. Suedamerika leidet ebenfalls unter der Weltwirtschaftskrise. (Quelle: punkt.ch vom 03.04.2009 und focus.de vom 02.04.2009) http://www.mhlw.go.jp/index.html 6) スイス人、ニカラグゥアで竹製の家を建造 Swiss builds houses made of bamboo in Nicaragua Schweizer baut Bambus-Haeuser in Nicaragua (Mon. 30.03.2009 Smi) ツーク出身のハインツ・ロースリ氏は3年前スイスの団体から、やる気のある 開発支援要員として、南米では2番目に貧しいニカラグゥアに派遣された。そ こで同氏は、数100万ドルの資金が同国に注入されているのにも関わらず、現 地の人の生活は良くならず、むしろ悪化しているのに気づいた！同氏はある 家族の為に一軒の家を建てたが、6ヶ月後には跡形もなく消えていた。誰も持 てないような家の高価な建築資材（石）は盗まれる。想像力に富むこのスイ ス人は現在、身近にある原料で耐震性に優れ、且つ安価な竹を使うことにし た。初期資本10万ドルで福祉住宅の計画を始め、従業員45人を雇い入れた。 この国では70％が失業者。ニカラグゥアでは約50万戸の家が不足している。 この竹の家は約60平方メートルの広さで、建設費はわずか3,000ドル（45％の 費用軽減）。同氏はスイスの工科大学と木造建築を共同研究しており、現地 の住宅建築相に強く印象付けた！重要なのは竹の収穫時期とシロアリ対策の ホウ砂塩の塗布。竹には100年以上の耐用年数がある。 （出典：2009年3月30日付NZZ紙） Mr. Heinz Loosli originated from Zug went as motivated development aid worker for a Swiss organization to Nicaragua, the second-poorest country in South America, three years ago. He observed that millions in US-Dollars poured into the country, that the situation of the local people however didn't improve after a couple of years, but on the contrary, their conditions became even worse! He constructed a house for a family; it however disappeared traceless after only six months. Expensive building materials (stone) will be stolen because nobody can afford to build such a house. The innovative Swiss uses now the existing raw material bamboo, which is earthquake-proven and cheap. With a start-up capital of 100,000 US-Dollars he started a project for social house building; thanks to it, he created working places for 45 persons. In the country 70% of the people have no jobs. In Nicaragua there is a need for about 500,000 houses. A <Swiss> bamboo-house with a living surface of about 60 square meters cost only 3,000 US-Dollars (a cost reduction of 45%). The Swiss enjoys the co-operation with a Swiss Technical University for Wooden Construction; the local Ministry of Housing was impressed! Important is the harvest time of the bamboo wood and the treatment with borax salt against termites. Bamboo has a life-span of more than 100 years. Der Zuger Heinz Loosli ging vor drei Jahren als motivierter Entwicklungshelfer fuer eine Schweizer Organisation nach Nicaragua, dem zweit-aermsten Land in Suedamerika. Er beobachtete dabei, dass Millionen Betraege in US-Dollar ins Land kamen, dass es den Einheimischen nach ein paar Jahren, nicht besser, sondern noch schlechter ging! Er baute einer Familie ein Haus, welches jedoch nach sechs Monaten spurlos verschwunden war. Teure Baumaterialien (Stein) werden gestohlen, da sich niemand ein solches Haus leisten kann. Der innovative Schweizer nutzte jetzt den vorhandenen Rohstoff Bambus, welcher erdbebensicher und guenstig ist. Mit einem Startkapital von 100 000 US-Dollar begann er ein Projekt fuer sozialen Wohnungsbau; dabei schaffte er Arbeitsplaetze fuer 45 Personen. Im Land sind 70% der Leute ohne Arbeit. In Nicaragua fehlen zirka 500 000 Haeuser. Ein <Schweizer> Bambus-Haus mit einer Wohnflaeche von zirka 60 Quadrameter kostet nur 3000 US-Dollar (Kostenreduktion von 45%). Der Schweizer arbeitet mit einer Schweizer Fachhochschule fuer Holzbau zusammen; das Wohnungsbau-Ministerium zeigte sich beeindruckt! Wichtig ist der Erntezeit-Punkt des Bambus-Holzes und die Behandlung mit Borax-Salz gegen Termiten. Bambus hat eine Lebensdauer von mehr als 100 Jahren. The umbrella organization represents nearly 60,000 medium-sized businesses of all branches and sizes with between 30 and more than 1,500 employees per company. The association intends to provide business support to the already more than 25,000 Germans (entrepreneurs and professional persons), who live and work in Central Switzerland. Therefore, the association has now opened a representative office in Zug. Switzerland enjoys a high reputation among German entrepreneurs thanks to its extraordinary location and market conditions; Swiss companies shall also be able to profit from the representation on site. That is an increase of 4,9% compared to the previous year. Based on the Swiss gross domestic product (GDP), the Swiss health costs represents a quote of 10,8%; compared internationally, the USA have a quote of 15,3% and in the France, it is at 11%. The services of the Swiss health care system are very appreciated also by many foreign patients. The spa and the facilities are managed by the <daisan-sector> (public/private joint- venture). There is the main building, a very new structure made of high quality and excellent wood with front, restaurant, shop and the guest rooms. Apart, there are individual cottages and additionally, few historic farm houses which are a kind of national treasure. The compound is very well maintained and the local people are coming too for enjoying Onsen and eating at the restaurant. Apparently, there was some misunderstanding about our reservation because we had wanted to stay at the main building. There the guest rooms with its wooden inside structure and tatami, provide a very warm and comfortable atmosphere. We checked in at the cottage first, but then moved to the main building where we were extremely happy. It's said that Shikoku inhabitants have a somehow Mediterranean way of life, meaning don't worry too much, take it easy.
